I know it's hard to listen to anything other than Aurora's vocals. But having those male harmonies also added so much in this cover. Loved it like always

Two Norwegians, Aurora and Angelina. Two distinct styles. Two descriptions, Magical and Angelic. Two opportunities to experience beautiful voices, songs, and performances. We are lucky.

This song was an inside joke between some friends of mine and I. It's such a goofy song when you listen to the original. (especially when you watch the video) And then Aurora gets ahold of it and it becomes a beautiful and fun folky song. She's just incredible. Thanks for this video. I had no clue she made this!

You must be the first reactor to react to this one! Aurora and the band were minimalistic yet magical!

Love this cover. Listened it already multiple times. But i would not expect she will make cover of this song and very good she made it :).

Haunting, but not in a dark way. It reminds me of Lorena McKennitt, Canadian songwriter. Both are absolutely mesmerising. I think it works for Aurora because of her mastery of storytelling with music, but also sounds she uses to augment her arrangements. I saw a video where she says she always keep her recorder with her so she can record sounds all the time. She recorded the light switch as she turned it on and off, sounds one would never think might be instrumental in helping a musician compose. As she said, you can see a field of flowers, and all combined makes a beautiful composition or arrangement. But if you take one of those flowers and examined everything about it, you will come to appreciate the beauty of the different aspects of the flower. That’s what she does with her music. I think for her, she writes what she feels, then she matches the background harmony and sounds to fit her words and the mood she wants to evoke. We see how her band and background singers add layers to her song so it seems as if she has a huge band behind her when it may be only 3 or 4 musicians. That’s what make Aurora unique. First, she’s really saying something. Not random -ly. Her songs have deeper level gut interpretations and if you don’t listen that much to the words and get hung up on just the music, you miss so much. I’ve read posts of people who tried to introduce her to their friends, and they get a “Meh” reaction. That’s because they fail to listen to her words. I think the majority of her fans are Empaths, with ability to feel deeply. They are moved, not only by the music, but the words just pulls at their heartstrings. Another reason is the meaning of her songs can be taken servers ways for fans. As I said, there’s layers in her music, and there are layers to her words. For example, Little Boy in the Grass was a tribute to child victims of a brutal political takeover, but it also has over interpretations too and she leaves them for you to do that. The words of her songs are often dark subject matter, brimming with heavy emotions. Yet.the arrangements is counter to that. She gives you a way out of what the interpretation by giving you music that is almost the opposite of what she’s singing. I think that’s why her idols are people like Bob Dylan and Enya, two almost opposing styles. Dylan isn’t known for having a great singing voice, but his songwriting is unparalleled. He is an icon. Enya’s songs may be ethereal, but the amount of layers she uses in her music is what drew people to her. Aurora is the essence, the child born from the magic of both. Btw, Dylan lives in my town. I have yet to see him, but I plan to keep trying.☺️

I never cared much about the lyrics when I listened to original one. It's disco, it's all about dancing,.But this cover, it sounds so different, I love it!

I had forgotten all about that song. It was so very delightful to hear her cover of it! As always, she makes it her own wonderful song. And, I totally agree about the story-telling aspect of her music! Somewhere in the middle there, I was getting Loreena McKennitt vibes due to the nature of the tune and ballad aspect.
