As a tornado warning and damaging wind warning cross 35 in moore, OK, drivers block the highway under a bridge trying to hide from the wind. After several minutes of being trapped storm chasers take action and start telling people to move after realizing there actual issue causing people to sit there.
So basically those 4 cars are “safe” but the rest of you can go to hell since you have no way around them. That is terribly selfish of them.
And they really aren't safe under the overpass! It's one of the worst decisions to make. But if they felt they had to, they should have moved their cars out of way, and went on foot to the overpass.. dumbasses.
Yes, deadly selfish and also STUPID, since the wind can be channeled by the tunnel under the bridge and become stronger. They’re not protected, they’re in worse danger.

Not going to lie, that would make me feel violent. Some clown thinks they can make decisions for everyone behind them and block the highway, even preventing EMS getting through. I wouldnt GET violent to clarify that but I would feel it. lol

Heck my blood was boiling just watching this. I could not be a semi driver. Id end up arrested for pushing someones car out of the way lol.
Same thing I thought. Especially sitting in a big rig. Someone would have gotten the bumper.

You see this same dumb crap all over the place - it's hailing, I'm going to stop under the overpass so my car doesn't get hailed on, and to hell with everyone behind me that has somewhere to be. Nobody knows tornadoes better we do - nobody knows how to conduct themselves during a tornado better than we do.

I just love the joys of modern two lane highways don't you ! Also called bottle necks ! When your trying to cram six lanes or more of traffic into two lanes . Yeah great engineering man ! I just can't wait for more of those express lanes like we have in Texas ! LOL Not a good place to be when a tornado comes let me tell you !

Reminders for the new season,
1. Mind the polygons. They show you, where, what and what direction.
2. While driving, never block the road by parking under an overpass to keep hail from denting your auto. Pull completely to the shoulder if someone is blocking the road in front of you. Your hail dents, are not worth someone's life, running into your auto. Not to mention, the years of your prison term for manslaughter or multiple counts if you cause a pile up with multiple deaths. Easy decision, dents or prison, and living with causing someone's death!!! Most people never think about this stuff.
3. Blunt and to the point, put your damn shoes on....
No flip flops or such like. Imagine getting back to your house and it is gone. You need shoes that can protect your feet from glass, nails. Sorry, but I have seen it way too many times. Coats or jackets would be great too.
4. Have a pre-planned meeting with your children for wherever they might be, so they know what to do.
5. Where do we meet up at if a tornado takes everything out. Phones, electric, etc. Pick a spot, not a place ie, at the creek bridge, not Joe's Dinner, as Joe's might not be there anymore.
Well you have to admit 3 lanes of traffic CAN'T ALL FIT AT THE SAME TIME ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD EMERGENCY LANE
Then Sandra you keep driving until you can find a place of safety you do not park under the freaking underpass and you do not block the traffic. Like I said before the only way you stop Is if you can see that tornado and even in the dark with the lightning flashes you can see it if you're looking.
When that tornado clears YOU clear the road. You do not park and clog up a highway.

This happens when there is any amount of hail. Police would either be en route, blocked, or busy doing their jobs.

Waiting..nothing else you can do..or turn around to other side if you can..ppl don't driven to a tornado on purpuse

I still chase but only at night (due to the chaser jams) and I never have chased urban...just because of idiots like this....//

People hiding under the overpass so they wouldn't get hailed on. One of the worst places to be if a tornado or straight line winds come through. They endangered themselves and everyone behind them just so they wouldn't potentially get a couple of dents or a crack in the windshield.
There wasn't one. Just people thinking a bridge will protect them from winds and hail.

Backing up traffic like that during a Tornado is not safe, you never know if another Tornado will pass through there and catch the people stuck behind them it's even more dangerous during the night like it was
