I also was raised by atheists and became Catholic in college. A long time ago, but I too have a story.
The interesting thing about this interview was how often I forgot about this being recorded. I was totally at ease talking with you.
Nice. God bless you, Jeff! It was a pleasure.
Totally enjoyed the interview. 👍
Good job Chief… I’m a retired chief as well: 1987 to 2007. Weather guesser :)
Jeffmillercurtjester Delightful time listening to your story! Very touching and funny and profound at times. You have a neat way of stating things uniquely! The 200s! Hah!
Thanks for the book recommendation!
Another great interview, sir. Really enjoy your channel. Hope you don't run out of converts or re-verts anytime !
Thanks, Charles! 🙏🏼 there are many-that’s for sure!
I feel like I constantly forget where God has brought me from, but hearing other people's conversion and reversion stories helps me remember my own story. Thank you for these interviews! :)
Thanks, Monica! They help me as I record them.
Watching from the Phlippines. A Lay Carmelite like you. May our Carmelite Saints ang Mary, Our Lady of Mt Carmel make intercessions for us.🙏
46:53 when you talk about protestants ministers, not wanting to leave their church because of losing their career- it reminded me of when I was in the Navy. There was a Baptist chaplain that would attend mass all the time on our ship he would sit in the back and watch. I asked my priest one time why is he always there.. and my priest just looked at me and said “he knows”, he just can’t leave yet because he’d lose his career “
Love these testimonies!
Great interview!
I really enjoyed listening. The time went by quickly...I wanted to hear more!
Thank you! 💠
Thanks for listening
The Curt Jester is on my Favourites list!
Thanks for the book recommendation. I will be ordering it.
Great interview!
Fr hardon.. Beyond brilliant, cause for canonisation.
True Jesuit, he changed my life.
His sheer intelligence is breathtaking.
But you've got to know who he was, what he did.
Worked with Pope John Paul.. And said the Pope was under demonic pressure from the bishops!
Just the sight of him and you realized you're looking at a saint.
True, true Jesuit.
God bless and keep him, precious priest. ❤💪❤
I was never an atheist but definitely went through an agnostic phase for a good twenty+ years. Jeff's experience is so much like mine in terms of my reversion. I've loved following Jeff's blog over the years.
Excellent. You should become a deacon!
@@CatholicReCon Ha! Usually we consider such encouragement as signs of a vocation. In this case, fait acompli.
This was fascinating. Thank you for hosting and appreciated the authenticity that Jeff shared during his journey. As current Atheists, we agree with Jeff that a lot of Atheists are a bit too careful with their reading and their needs to be more of an effort to actually engage Theism and Christian thinking in a fruitful manner. However at the same time, we'd love to know more in detail which Atheist Philosophers Jeff read, because I don't think most atheist philosophers would consider Ayn Rand to be a formidable and sophisticated Atheists. Thanks again for the show!
Thanks! I’ll be in touch. Busy time right now. I appreciate all your comments.
Great interview! Very interesting!
