  • macmost.com/e-... You can quickly and easily made a slideshow in the Photos app, but those can't be exported to share. By using the free iMovie app from Apple, you can build a slideshow from a set of photos in minutes and then export it as video to share. You can also customize each photo with filters, cropping, movement and text. You can add music, audio and narration to the slideshow too. The basic idea works on the iPad as well.

      Lots of ways: connect your Mac to the TV via HDMI, AirPlay if you have an Apple TV box or your TV supports it, Home Sharing in the TV app to Apple TV too, some TVs have SD card slots, others accept USB drives, or just upload to CZcams and use your TV's CZcams app.

    There is a much easier way if you want to use the Slideshow created by your iPhone so you use their existing slide transitions and music. Go to Control Center. Turn on Screen Recording. Press the Start Recording button. Go to your slideshow and play it. Touch the screen when it finishes and press the Stop Recording button.
    It will save that screen video in your photos album. Then open the video in photo album. Click edit. Use the slider to trim each end of the video. Hit Save. Done. You have just saved the slideshow.
    Remember to turn on the Record Sound also. Google how to do it, like I did. Otherwise it just records the screen and not music.

    • @macmost

      Screen recording a presentation won't get you the best quality. Use the built-in functions in Keynote to export instead.

    • @macmost
      @macmost  Před 2 lety +1

      Do you mean cropping? You can adjust the cropping for each photo in iMovie if you like. Of course to include more of the photo you'd then have black bands on either side.

    Thank you. I have a cassette audio that I transferred to digital. It’s a narration of an old slideshow from way back in the 1970’s time range. How can I merge this audio with the slides now and hopefully get it timed as created. Also have a hand written narration with timing to help match it. It seems like iMovie can do this but I’m not sure the steps to get this lined up. Afraid I’ll ruin it. Thanks for any tips to do this. Thanks for your videos. I love that they are to the point.

    This is helpful but, I find the slideshow is cutting off the bottom and sometimes tops of my photos in my slide show. There doesn’t seem to be any options to change the iMovie sideshow from showing all my pictures in landscape mode. Because they are all pictures are in portrait it’s cutting off the bottoms of my pictures. There seems to be no option to change this.

    • @macmost
      @macmost  Před rokem

      You can put a black background as the main timeline, then add the photo as a Picture-in-Picture and resize it so it is just a photo in the middle of a black field to the left and right. But this is much easier to do in iMovie for Mac if you can.

    • @macmost
      @macmost  Před 3 lety

      Drag and drop to reorder the clips in iMovie. Whether you can add music from your library depends on the song and its source.
