Lost my son when he was 3. Not one person told me anything, they all avoided. So thank you Q after 6 years. Finally hearing someone just say it. Allows me to cry like i haven't in awhile, in a healing way.
I'm terribly sorry to hear that man. One of my childhood friend's son was murdered at 18 and he called me when he got the news. We ugly cried on the phone together for over 30 mins. It tore my heart apart to have very little to say except that I was sorry and there for him. Q's verse about his friend always makes me think of my boy and hope he's holding up ok. It's been 9 years now....🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Was homeless last year in Chicago. Slept in my sedan. I was depressed and wanted to end my life. This song motivated me to get back up on my feet. I hustled doing Uber and Lyft for whole month and moved to Phoenix with some friends at their apartment. Now I'm going back to college and live in my own studio apartment. Stay blessed👏
I would listen to this song allot while me and my pregnant gf were homeless and strung out on heroin. When I'd get real mad or when I'd be going through shit I'd post up wherever I was, and start smoking black. Times were crazy. We've been clean over 4 years now and our son ended up being born healthy no problems at all. If your struggling and read this just stay strong, keep pushin and one day you'll blessings will come to you. OneLove! Update: I'm 34 now and me and my woman got engaged right before Covid started. Our son is now 6 years old and just started first grade. Hes as healthy as can be and I thank God for that. We also have a daughter who is 4. We have our 2 dogs and are just a norman family living in Exeter Ca. Our lives are not perfect, but seeing how far we've come let's us know how blessed we are. I appreciate all the likes and comments. I know there are still people out there right now that were just like me back then. So if that's you and your reading this or even if you are doing good now and just struggle with life, always remember to keep your head up and be strong. Shit gets better. It may not ever be perfect but life is worth living and everyone deserves to be happy. ONELOVE 👊🏻

@@schwables2670 congratulations brother. April 2nd of this year I lost my best/childhood friend to an opioid overdose. Listening to this song at 12:05 AM in the quiet of my bathroom, with headphones on to not wake anyone. It’s moments like these, after caring for my mother who’s bravely battling late stage ALS, that I find solace in music. I’ve just helped her to rest with her medication, and now, it’s just me and this song. To anyone else scrolling through the comments, seeking a sense of connection in your own tough times, know this: You are not alone. We’re all in this journey together, each carrying our own burdens, but music like this reminds us that hope and resilience can carry us through. Keep going, hold onto faith. I was a kid when this song came out and really didn’t know the meaning. After several brain surgeries and hospital stays and losing friends due to cancer, I realized how lucky I was that all my tumors were benign. Recovery is about over and my first day of work was today. Blessings are coming y’all, we’re all blessed in our own ways. Keep them heads up 🙏🏼
Was homeless as a jit living out my backpack. When I was locked up did my push ups everyday and kept my spirit in. My dog died and now his son live with me AND I HOLD EM TIGHT EVERYDAY FOR EM. I stay blessed er day and try n stay stressed free 🤞🏽 2023 and this song STILL give me chills every time I listen to it.
After I almost died in a car crash a few months ago, I listen to this song every now and then. I'm honestly blessed to even be alive, smoking a bowl to this tune makes me grateful for everything 🙏🏽
I used to play this song while in college, struggling everyday just to better myself, failed over and over and over and over again, felt like giving up so many times BUT this song pulled me through and was the reason I didn't give up. Got my computer science degree 3 years ago and now working my dream job making great money and helping out my parents financially. Thank you Schoolboy Q and Kendrick, I owe y'all.
I was living off a backpack.. this song taught me how to do that when i waa in University. My family was against me, but friend took me in. All i had was a backpack. I graduated, and now im worth a million Nd i have a wife and kid as my own family 😢😢
This was my best friends favorite song. 4 years ago today he jumped off a water tower. This song reminds me of how good we have it and all the good times I had with him. If you’re struggling just remember there are people in this world that love you
the only reason im probably still alive today is that very last thing you mentioned, someone, somewhere cares... wether you know it or not.. i've also lost someone to suicide and i could not possibly fathom putting others through that trauma.
I was like 18 when I first heard this song, we was young the homies and I. Now about to turn 31 Friday and they ain around anymore and this hits even harder than before.so many L’s I took since then, I thought failed grades was the least of my worries. Lost my daughter, uncle that I grew up with in that house with granny, my grandma, my dogs, sleeping in my jeep cold nights etc. thank you Q and Kdot
I used to listen to this song when I was 15, kicked out of school, kicked out of my house. Selling just as many drugs as I was doing and getting arrested too many times to count, wishing I was dead. I thought those days would never end. Five years later, I’m listening to this on my apartment patio, counting my blessings. I made it out alive and so will you.
Your blessed man, remember that and God loves you so keep your faith in him and Jesus Christ. Your still here, which is a sign of hope so appreciate every breath you take dude. Repent for your sins, and all is forgiven. God bless you bro, hope your doing great rn
Went through the same thing you’re not alone bro 💯 I remember when I was in that field fucked up broke dirty eating scraps no haircut and now I got my money up and feel blessed that I own my car and help around my people whenever I feel down at night I turn this song on and count my blessings
This song saved my life. I was on breaking point of killing myself bc of depression. I listen to this for up lifting spirit & a reminder that what I deal with is not as bad others deal with on a daily basis. This is my motivation for everything. Stay blessed and less stress. I'm blessed
just laid my cousin to rest today on his 24th birthday. i'll never forget him showing me this song. it hits so much harder now. i love you bro you were my partner in crime fr

R.I.P MY SON karlo-Haize one month since you been gone and it hurts I love you baby boy always and forever I can’t stop listening to this song since you left my arms I’ll keep on doing what I do like I do always son love always my shining star
I’m 17 my daddy left when I was 3 and my mom has system Lupus and seizures, she had to raise me on her own and money was super tight. I realized that I couldn’t be a kid anymore and to be a man at an early age. From 3 all to now(17) I’m still not giving up. Now I’m grinding for my dream so I can buy her a house. She’s gonna see me with my successes in life. They say “growing up with no father it’ll make you evil”.. that’s not true, all you need is your heart and a positive mind set. You can’t be a man because you gon through so much, that’s no man. A man is when you stay woke and stay grinding and fighting your battles, that’s a man.
Ronnie Ochoa don’t respond to comments often. But from what I read I got it bruh. The attitude the mindset and hunger. I hope you get whatever you goin after man, stay blessed💯
My best friend showed me this a few years ago He told me it's the only thing that kept him going while was locked up. Then a year and a half ago he took his own Life. I just wish he could have heard this song or remembered it before he pulled the trigger. I miss you every day bro
When I was homeless in NYC I would play this in my headphones on the train. The second verse always made me tear up. I finally realized it was because u hear Q being a real friend and homie. Something I never really had so it jus hits a core. This song really puts me back to that time
i could never forget how great this song is.... every time i hear this one its like hearing it for the time over an over best song wit Q and kdot in my opinion
R.I.P. Kobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter Gianna Bryant, and the other passengers of the helicopter that lost their lives. My favorite player on my favorite team. I’m heartbroken
i haven’t came across this song in a while, & now that i’m older, it hits harder. i understand that 21 is a very young age, but it feels like i’m at my all time low. songs like this just reminds that i’ll be good, forever. times will change, and my current situation isn’t the best right now but i’m blessed g. shit could be way worse but a nigga just gotta take advantage of what’s right in front of me & just do better. much love to all.
I went through some of the darkest times when I was 21. I was severely depressed and I was suicidal 7 years later I am firstly alive, but also living a life that I never thought I could live Trust me when I say it'll be aiiit Get help (I did, wouldn't be here without it), surround yourself with good people, focus on what you want to do
Yooooo "Don't neglect your respect of the progress of a babystep" Damn that a great line. Like we all need to understand we are in a state of constant progress.... Constantly upgrading and turning knowledge into wisdom.
If you read this. You got this ! I learned that if you learn new skills to be emotionally, mentally, financialy, health more stable and strong lofe fonna be easy. I still in the learn process but yooo you got this you have everything you need to reach your highest potential. You are powerful and worthy enough. 100 % 💯
This song got me through some of the hardest times of my life. I saw School boy Q live at Best Buy theater in NYC the day Oxymoron dropped. In between songs the crowd went silent and School boy Q asked what song we want to hear and I screamed "BLESSED!" He heard my request and started to perform it. Truly an artist for a people 🫶🏼❤️
Schoolboys first verse really hit me. This is actually the first song that I can relate to 100%. I turned 18 and got kicked out of cfs and I was living out of my back pack moving from couch to couch at my relatives place, my friend helped gave me 2 different drugs to sell and I stayed around a block late at night trying to get money so I can start my life, I got caught and went to jail...like actual jail not a youth center, and that's what I did I read books and exercised until I got out, its so crazy I never thought id find a song that I could really relate too. This is going to stay on my playlist for a very long time.
Damn bruh u just basicly told my life story as it is today. Ever since i hit 18 this year shits be crazy. Im done livin tha trife life. Its time to love tha life im live every moment of every day. 2015 is my year!. YEE!!!!!.
idgaf how this makes me sound but every. single. time. i listen to this song, whether it's 100 times in a row, I don't lose these cold chills and I'm just fighting back tears. Shit speaks to the soul no matter what you came up from
"Anything you imagine you possess my nigga" that line there made me want to pursue my dreams harder after many folks telling me I wasn't good enough or I'm wasting time so to anybody reading this continue to push for greatness and give light to the darkest places
I remember being homeless pregnant with my husband waking up at 6am standing in line to check in for housing listening to this song. It took us 6 months but we've had our apartment 3yrs now.
I listened to this when i was getting kicked out of my childhood home for no reason. Everyday after summer school jammed this last year. Now im in a better home. Song will always be special for me
The fact that this isn't available on Spotify is criminal, love this song

Prayer out to your homie and his family brother hope y’all doing good 🙏
Praying for you king 👑
When I was homeless in NYC I would play this in my headphones on the train. The second verse always made me tear up. I finally realized it was because u hear Q being a real friend and homie. Something I never really had so it jus hits a core. This song really puts me back to that time

i haven’t came across this song in a while, & now that i’m older, it hits harder. i understand that 21 is a very young age, but it feels like i’m at my all time low. songs like this just reminds that i’ll be good, forever. times will change, and my current situation isn’t the best right now but i’m blessed g. shit could be way worse but a nigga just gotta take advantage of what’s right in front of me & just do better. much love to all.
I went through some of the darkest times when I was 21. I was severely depressed and I was suicidal
7 years later I am firstly alive, but also living a life that I never thought I could live
Trust me when I say it'll be aiiit

This song got me through some of the hardest times of my life. I saw School boy Q live at Best Buy theater in NYC the day Oxymoron dropped. In between songs the crowd went silent and School boy Q asked what song we want to hear and I screamed "BLESSED!" He heard my request and started to perform it. Truly an artist for a people 🫶🏼❤️

This has to be the most underrated song in rap history
For sureee
Schoolboys first verse really hit me. This is actually the first song that I can relate to 100%. I turned 18 and got kicked out of cfs and I was living out of my back pack moving from couch to couch at my relatives place, my friend helped gave me 2 different drugs to sell and I stayed around a block late at night trying to get money so I can start my life, I got caught and went to jail...like actual jail not a youth center, and that's what I did I read books and exercised until I got out, its so crazy I never thought id find a song that I could really relate too. This is going to stay on my playlist for a very long time.
