    Watching as I am laying in a loveseat at my warehouse at 2am after an event, trying to get 2hrs in before I restart. This business is not for easy and kudos for all your achievements

    Pretty impressive how much your company grew in a short time and the amount of inventory you have gotten for your business. I am in my first year of business in the event rental business. We are doing okay but I wish it was producing more business. I am trying to be patient with it. I want to buy more stuff but I cannot until business picks up more. I am starting off with one 30×60 event tent. Tables and chairs. I appreciate you and some other guys sharing info and experiences in the business.

      I hear you. It can take a while if you start with a smaller inventory for sure. But the cool thing is you can continue to grow it over time with the money that comes in and the effect compounds over time.

    Thanks for the video. This is what I need to close table setting as well and concentrate in tent, tables and chairs.

    God knew I needed to see this video. This is what I’m feeling today. Exhaustion and burnout. It’s so hard. But… we have a weekend full of deliveries so I have to get up and get back at it! It will all be worth it in the end. Loving your videos. I own a rental and event business in Dallas!

    This is great man. Thank you for sharing and the vulnerability. Are you implementing any changes to catch errors like that? Perhaps reiterating the important parts of contract with the customer? And thank you for the follow up on the table top. Based on following you so far, I was kind of surprised you went for that. It appears you’ve been really methodical about your offerings and table tops seems like an entire different business to me. Or at least it’s own division.

      Customers who dont like using our normal process are the ones that end up being the biggest headache. Instead of filling out a wishlist themselves, this customer came into our showroom and left sticky notes and verbally told us what they wanted. Rather than reading what we input based on their sticky notes they didn't read it. The best way to avoid this is to stop letting people go around our regular processes. They think they are getting g special treatment but are only causing a sh** show. We can add more terminology to the contract but they don't read it. Luckily it's only happened once out of over 1000 clients so it is what it is. Things will happen. It's how we solve it that matters.
      Yes, tabletop is an entirely different business. Linens are too, but we use a 3rd party for those.

    Awesome tour! How many tents or deliveries can a crew of three accomplish per day?

    • @marvinsquest1
      @marvinsquest1  Před 10 měsíci

      It entirely depends on which tents, whether they are staked or weighted, whether they have sidewalls, or lights, etc, and how far the delivery is from the shop. We've done as few as 1, and as many as 6 or 7 if all factors line up right.

    If you are getting 2 much work,it means that ur prices are to low. Rise them, rise them again and again, hire more people work less ur self

    • @marvinsquest1
      @marvinsquest1  Před rokem +1

      I've thought of increasing my minimum order so there's room on the truck for tent jobs. Also trying out temps and rental trucks to increase crew count in summer.
