Almost everyday I wake up and think I'm as close to Paradise as I'm going to get and can afford. The ability to freely live your life in Thailand without every narcissistic, jerk, trying to knock you down to make themselves feel better. Thailand you don't know what your missing.
Thailand has everything...food.... entertainment...nature......cars ..... everything and mostly important people... Thai people are most welcoming and happy people....🎉
Agreed. Been twice, four cities. I stayed a month each time I was in Thailand. Has beaches, affordable, safe, easy to make friends or roll solo, no cold weather, short flights to other S.E. Asian countries, expats f/ the most part seem @ peace
USA 🇺🇸 to toxic so here I come lol
Claudio did another amazing job keeping everything flowing so that everyone had plenty of time to share their background and stories. In addition to all of the great pros/cons of moving/retiring in Pattaya is the superior medical and dental care available in Thailand compared to the surrounding alternatives in the region. This is especially important for retired people. Great concept Daz to have these Podcasts.👍
Why am I reminded of the David Bailey quote “ there’s nothing uglier than four men in a car “😂😂😂
Excellent panel … honest, helpful perspective
My gf works .. she go crazy when I cook , clean 🧼 , do laundry 🧺 & tidy up 😊😮
Great cast lads…claudio is a great host and a good sense of humour 👍🏻
I'm not thinking of retiring in Thailand but a discussion like this is a very good idea; it'll be priceless for many of your viewers.
@@claudiospies1905 I'm looking forward to your future videos 🙂
@@claudiospies1905 I think for most people who don't own a property in their own country renting is 100% the best option in Thailand. It's possibly the best country in the world in terms of value for money. My problem is I much prefer Filipino women because they are less shallow and materialistic. But they have terrible infrastructure there and rental properties/hotels are not in the same class.
@@craigsmith2755 That's interesting; I don't know anything about women from the Philippines but are you talking about bar girls or non-bar girls? If you're talking about bar girls, it shouldn't be a surprise that they're shallow and materialistic since their number one goal is to make as much money as they can. I do agree, however, that there are many stunningly beautiful Filipino women! 😊
@@claudiospies1905 Could pick up a bargain in Vietnam at the moment with there mini crash in real estate market, foreigner can also buy a house there. Guy on the latest financial summit podcast was just speaking about the situation.
Jack is an absolute legend!!!
Very good hearing from these 4 lads, all seem genuine good blokes. All from different countries getting along and all have similar reasons as to why they moved to Pattaya, which resonates with me.
Fun and interesting conversation for newbies I think. Got to 20 minutes in and learned no Secrets of Living in Thailand yet! 555 I have been here 5 years so few if any secrets left. Funny the moderator keeps looking around like he does not realize he is sitting in a restaurant and customers are coming and going. Good podcast idea, happy to see and hear these guests Mr. Everything Pattaya
Claudio I want to say again Thank you for all the informative information that you freely shared with me the other day on Line! It is much appreciated. The program today simply amplified my quest of knowledge about Thailand and in specific Pattaya. Thank you all for your contribution to the broadcast!
Love this podcast. You guys are a great mix. Sharing your knowledge, and giving insights is invaluable. Thank you!
Great series. I'm just starting this episode. No.2. Informative with great contacts who you are recommending. Very helpful. Great banter and atmosphere.

Good one.. 17 yrs and counting.. Never going to leave if possible..
Great podcast! I have been visiting Pattaya since the 80's, and I have made some really good friends in Pattaya over the years. Fabulous destination with wonderful people! I recommend visiting this wonderful place! It only gets better and better each time I visit. Keep up the great work with the channel.
This is a good idea. You have a diverse group of men who share their experiences in Thailand 😊
Thanks guys, had a good laugh. I like the varying depth of experience and countries of origin. On the communication front I find translation apps a great help to breakdown the communication barrier.
brilliant, im loving this boys
Fantastic talk. Thank you. I hope you continue.
Very good video! Thank you, gentlemen for putting this together. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers! - Mark O
Really enjoyed the podcast and listening to the guests advice and stories, i think the thing to take away from this is to get to Thailand as quick as possible and enjoy life. 😀😀
Very entertaining and I learnt quite a lot, thanks 👍

Good job, Claudio.
Hi Guys thanks for TIT Vlog interesting to hear there stories and experiences instead of the winging that a lot of Farang carry on about you all know who they are 😅I be been going to Thailand since 1978 as a young traveler and have always love it and most of the people as one of the guys said it was my decision to come and you don’t have to stay.
Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul 😊
@@claudiospies1905I wouldn't want my children to be educated in China nor America.
in China, they'll be brainwashed with Communism ideology.
in America, they'll be brainwashed with Woke Culture, CRT critical race Theory, and LGBTQ indoctrination.
I would rather send them to Europe or Asia for their primary and high school education. They can go to America for higher education in the Universities. But not when they're still young.
@@claudiospies1905 As an Aussie I mostly agree. The universities here only care about profit and pushing their left wing ideals. No wonder most young men are now rejecting this option.
Great idea Daz for these videos. Thank you gentleman and laughed out loud multiple times. really enjoyed it. I'm planning on doing the same in another 4 years. I've been coming there a few times a year since 2003.
Great again 👍🙏
Awesome video see you guys soon
True experience 😊
This Podcast In This Format, Has Alot Of Potential.👍 Here Are Just A Few Suggestions:
1. Diversify The Demographics Of The Guests (Max 3), i.e. Age, Race & Ethnicities, Gender, Time Living In Thailand 1-5 yrs, 6-10, 11+, People With Some Experiences Living In Different Cities & Regions.
2. Experts In Various Sectors, e.g., Visas, Business, Legal, etc
3. Every Episode, Include Defined Segment (Maybe The Last Few Mins)That Includes The Latest Relevant News, Scam Alerts, Advice & Tips, etc
Enjoyed that 👍
I paid for insurance for a year for my sailing boat but didn't read the small print. I apparently had signed a contract for only Europe despite me telling them I was going around the world, so when I got hit by a second hurricane in the Caribbean and the boat was totaled, they said no! they will not pay me... So that was about 7 million baht wasted!
The insurance ended up giving back the money that I had paid into it, but that was peanuts in comparison.
Great podcast😊
Great pod cast Faz Don Los Angeles California
I think the biggest issues in Thailand is the noise and the bad buildings without any sound insulation(condos). I would recommend finding a quiet space and eventually rent a house, condos are generally shit, also new ones!
Thanks guys!
I bring to much sheet when I come to Thailand 🇹🇭 the jeans 👖 comment is spot on.
GREAT VIDEO
Liked.
Thanks Dax...
Why no Daz on the pod? Don't get me wrong. Claudio is doing an exelent job.
Shared a beer with Trevor in the Hollywood bar Soi 6, solid bloke.🧐
Honest conservation I like it and more podcast like this
I first came here to Pattaya beach
In 1982-83.
My 7th fleet navy ship.was 5 navy ship. To drop anchor in Phuket when tiny sleepy town back when my big navy ship visited in 1982. We made 7 deployments to Indian ocean we docked in Pattaya beach and Phuket after long deployments in Indian ocean

Very very good video
Hey daz how come your not into the podcast, you have enough experience to give others, by the way we're there for a week first week in October , to organise to retire there early Feb 2024 so retirement here we come after 12 years of going there finally pulling the pin and living there hope to catch up and buy you lunch after the great advice you have given us to do this move
Enjoyed the broadcast. Trying to decide between Chiangmai and Pattaya
Visit both for a month, then on a piece of paper write down the pros and cons of each.
Good for a chuckle and useful advice mixed in with it all. Why did you stay behind the camera Daz?
Good convo guys, may i request if you can discuss whats best area for living in pattaya, including north , central and south Pattaya....
Hello Daz, great info. as always, my question is, if insurance is 80K-60K baht per year at 80K baht that is approximately 197.00 dollars per month in health insurance is that correct
In the Philippines English is widely spoken and getting a visa is very easy . Cheap, hot and nice beaches, I have lived in the Philippines for 2 years and enjoyed every moment.
Have the best of both worlds...get yourself a Filipina and live in Thailand 😅 that way you can avoid the family 'requests/interference'
They look like they are all WANTED by Interpol😂
Nice
Thanks for the new microphones! I could not finish listening to the first podcast because my ears started to bleed! 😖
regarding costs maybe the participants could share at which location they live and what kind of accommodation (how many bedrooms etc) and the cost, that would be helpful as an indication. Also pro cons like how long does it take to go somewhere (shopping, beach road, nightlife) and what transportation they use (own motorbike, or taxi)
Budget discussion 19:34. My budget is probably $2,000 USD a month and I think I can live quite comfortably in 2023 and for many years like another decade since I don't like bars, girls, alcohol, smoking, or even girls. Just enjoy companies of friends.
Only MY lady and she's giving me a good discount LOL
MORE THUMBS UP PEOPLE, PLEASE….👍👍
Maybe a meeting to discuss tax savings for living abroad? 😆
I think Vietnam is modernizing and is following Thailands example
Do the insurance companies not require you to show/make a copy of the license when you start the policy...I mean they should have some liability if they don't verify that.
Thanks Guys
Hello I like this podcast is Pattaya the best place for a single retired man ? What about Angels City? they speak English
Please talk about different insurance policies in Thailand.
@@claudiospies1905 Great! Looking forward to watching it.
Entertaining vlog but what about informations about health insurance with Jack the broker?
On the next pod can you have someone under 50 that done an education visa for a yr & how difficult was it to learn the language & the 3 month tests you have to do, thanks😊
Great suggestion!
Funny!
P.S. Claudio, I forgot to add that this video shows (more, I think) your humorous side! I love your jokes and sly looks at your friends
@@claudiospies1905 Ha! Ha! I know! You said in your other video that you're an a$$hole!
Question for the chap next to the Australian. Are you originally from Bristol? I am a Bristolian, retired now for five years in a village in nong Bua lamphu province. Isaan
Peter is from Hastings
as a single guy if you stay outside tourist areas and just have yourself to look after and healthy you can get away with under 30 000 baht easily but you wont be traveling , partying often or buying luxuries.
Correct
Hi Daz, can you please have an Indian guest once, who is and expat and we get to know his journey and how he is living there now, his friend groups etc
Sure, noted
How come you don't get behind the camera and be one of the panel?
Yes I can never understand that
So what happens to ppl who drive without a licence and get caught by police ? Is it like the uk etc.
Fine of 1000 baht
Fyi, I think Vietnam just started the 90 day visa.
