Things I have learned from watching Magnificent Century Kosem: don't say anything bad about Dervish Pasha to Valide Sultana Handan. It won't end well.

Entrance of Humasah she was what I expected from mihrimah in season 4. She was in fact a better adversary than Hatice and Fatma Sultan ( even if Shah Hubban surpassed Humasah). This kind of character is refreshing when compared to the Sultan's other sisters from season 3. Kosem will have opponent dangerous ( but not as dangerous as Safiye, Davud or Dilruba).
Handan is now in a dangerous position. Just see the face of Haci when he will betray Handan. No wonder that now he would became a blind partisan to Kosem as he don't want to betray again ( but still disapointed as they butchered historcal Haci , and so the others eunuchs).

Haci Aga had an enormous influence.
Haci Aga was supporter of Kosem too irl.
He was supporter of Handan and later Halime too,and after Handan's death he was like father figure to Ahmed.
He also teached Kosem(as she was young when she became Haseki) in politics and how to rule the harem.
He was also co regent with Halime Sultan and Halil Pasa during the first reign of Mustafa I. Also Halime trusted him so much, but he dethroned Mustafa I(by locking him and Halime) and enthroned Osman II(presenting him in the divan).
And then Osman exiled him,and Haci died several years later.

@@drfhgs428 Yes but Haci was who ruled the harem after death of Handan. Interestingthat even if it seems that Handan had not a good relationshi with Kosem ( but not a bad like Nurbanu Safiye and Safiye- Halime) he was a supporter of Handan and Kosem ( not a surprise for being supporter of Halime it is how polics work and so opportunism) yes he die in exile. But he was a powerful figure.

@@nesiacha3659 Yes he ruled the harem and teached Kosem too.
Tbh,that's the only thing i dislike about historical Handan.
It's seems if Handan lived longer, her relationship with Kosem will be the same as Safiye and Halime.
Ambasadors had noted that Handan was very angry and jelaous that Kosem returned to Topkapi, and that she could influence Ahmed.
And it's also said that Kosem didn't really show respect to Handan because she had not forgoten what she had done to her previously.
So they surely had rivalry in the harem.
Some even mentioned that Handan had order Kosem to be beaten, when Mehmed III was sultan.
But this probably it's not true.
Actually according to some sources, Kosem as Haci was also servant of Handan during the reign of Mehmed III.
So maybe that's why he supported her?
It's interesting how from all mothers in law from period of SOW,only Hafsa and Turhan were good mothers in law and didn't mind if the haseki or other concubine had influence in the harem. They even supported them.
Nurbanu,Safiye,Handan,Kosem and Gulnus were opposite from them in that matter, lol.

I feel like Humashah is a kinder version of Shah Huban. The thing that limits her is only her morals, she resembles a lot Shah Huban, while Dilruba was Mihrimah but eviler and more ruthless.
