Thank you for your lovely rendition of this song. It inspired me to inform myself of it's origen. I was amazed to find out it originally had nothing at all to do with Christmas. It was an English ballad from around 1580 with a totally differant story. However that is irrelevant because by time you were done presenting it there could be no doubt that it is a Christmas gift to all of us. I hope you had a lovely day ! (:-)

Greensleeves which is translated by "What child is This" (?) Is not really a Christmas song ... But it was King Henry VIII of England (who played the lute very well) who composed it in the 16th century century for his mistress Anne Boleyn ("the lady with the green sleeves") who became his second wife and whom he would behead like a certain number of his wives (Henry VIII inspired the tale "Bluebeard") ... Because, without no doubt a good musician, this king was a terrible ogre ! But "his lady with the green sleeves" has survived the centuries ... Even if her beheading for high treason, adultery and incest was only a way of getting rid of her using false accusations ... A little thought for this great reformer, and unhappy martyr ... (And bravo for the sensitivity of Sangha Noona, in this beautiful interpretation of this song of which we sometimes forget the true history and the origin of the title "Greensleeves")

That was beautifully played with wonderful feeling! Also you included a truly flowing and quite creative improv. Now I am going to the piano to try my rendition, which is nowhere near the quality of yours, but a bit on the jazzy/bluesy side.
