When she said “ your a catcher, you chose that life, you know” I felt that... I’m a catcher
@@daddyhacks4543 definitely
especially the ones that can play catcher and 3rd too
That hit me in the heart bro all the bruises came back to me and felt them haha
I played catcher for half a season in high school and switched to outfield (center then left). That is a lifelong commitment. I have nothing but respect for what I think is the hardest position in sports.
@@jamescarpenter855 😂😂😂😂😂maybe hockey but lacrosse??? Most definitely not.
we all know that Trevor only went to the dodgers so he could keep wearing First Star Logistics' colors.
Luba looking through the window, comes out concerned. You flirting with my man blonde?
Either that or "Bauer, you're gonna get hurt before you even throw your first spring training game. I got a lot ridin' on this."
@@owencaldwell9033 shit I would look at him that way too dawg that’s Trevor Bauer
the agent is gonna end up his wife and baby momma lol
@@huntersmith8062 yea. That’s his agent. She’s getting paid regardless.
Who else wanted to see if she could handle catching a pen from Trevor?? Lol
probably would do fine. the softball mound is closer so even though there are slower pitches, the ball gets there around the same time
@@CadChamberlain lol she plays college baseball not softball I just looked it up
that is the tiniest chest guard ever, and he uses a fielding glove. this is comedy gold
He probably didn't want to risk a thumb injury with a mitt, there was one right by him at 5:00
@@LMarcon11, its not hard to not hurt your thumb with them. if you are really worried then get a thumb guard (i use one cause of thumb injuries i had before i even got a proper catching glove). she wasnt even throwing hard enough for any injuries to occur
@@baileysmith4744 I know, but it can happen when someone who's never used a mitt tries it out. Bauer's obviously not a beginner at baseball, but I've seen some fuck up their thumbs when trying to catch, even on soft tosses or breaking balls. It depends on where the ball lands in the mitt. It's better to prevent any possible injury as a professional ballplayer. The tiny chest guard was comical tho
@@LMarcon11, i will admit, without a thumb guard im nervous to catch in a mitt because i have had some pitches land in bad spots of the glove, but at 50mph its unlikely to be risky, especially on fastballs, and the only reason i would be nervous without a thumb guard is because of prior thumb issues. otherwise i think for just a few pitches, it wouldnt be an issue at all. i did however just suspect maybe its her glove and its one of the few things she doesnt let others touch, although with catchers normally its all gear in general. no one would probably know besides them
He seems like he has a great future ahead of him. Hopefully one day he makes the MLB and becomes a Cy Young winner
Catcher is life,
So glad I got to catch under 2 hall of fame coaches, one in high school which he is the world's winningest coach and other was in College. 🙌🙌
Watching Bauer struggle to clear tape is the funniest thing
Ive played every position catcher was my favorite beside shortstop/2nd base and pitching catcher can see the whole field it forces you to become a leader
"One eye closed" she knew what Trev was boutta do to them Padres
I love that small jab at jose!!!
Will Smith, Austin Barnes and FedEx gonna do lots of teaching 😂😅
This is actually really cool.
Surprisingly this gave me a whole new respect for catchers, even though I knew they were crazy in the first place lol
Trevor had a perfect opportunity to pitch the stop running poles movement and he blew it 🤦♂️
I catch in a baseball league and I can both games in a double header every Sunday. It isn’t easy at all and extreme props for Bauer to jump back there and give it a shot. And for someone who has never caught he is very good at framing the low pitches and letting the ball come to him.
Lol we have to see Bauer behind the dish sometime 😂😂 maybe in the show...
Atta boy Trevor! Looking good in blue on the mound. Nasty k on Hilliard!!
I'll love to catch for Bauer. Only big league player I've caught for was Matt LaPorta when he was already drafted but stayed at UF
man this is so cool
Switching to catcher was great for my hitting .. posted .400 plus & 13 bombs.... Watching the ball come in, helped me pick up the balls rotation quickly
Very impressive hitting at the end I must say
ah as a mets fan i love seeing trevor blocking balls with his throwing hand out there in front haha
Rivier university in NH? I went there for my mba!!! Cool video!!
Can we all just appreciate the fact that he’s not afraid to show he’s scared to catch?
Go Marika!
Thanks for the props Bauer
Trevor, ya looked like J.T Realmuto in the thumbnail 🤣🤣
The best mlb catcher 😂
God bless catchers , I did it once and I learned how hard it is
SHES PACKING!!
I came in thinking this was gonna be dumb, but I actually laughed quite a bit and learned something
Trevor previous catchers be like
Finally he knows our pain
Random fact I used to take lessons from Bauer’s catcher on the reds, Tucker Barnhart.
I pitched against her around this time last year 😂 much respect for her though
Whyyy does this give me fantasy factory vibes? 😩 love the content guys!
Marika is all about that Catcher Life. She’s bad ass man.
Good pitching today bauer
Trevor Bauer is about to be the next Jeff Mathis behind the plate
Will we be getting any Bauer Bytes this spring training?
TREV CLAPPIN C H E E K S

The Office.
Little did he know he would get the bag after this
She has a adorable laugh and she is a good teacher
I used to hate being catcher my junior year of high school cause all my pitcher sucks and no joke 20 minutes innings
Best catcher there is
NOoOoOoOo one is running on Jose Bauer 😂🤣😂🤣
The best catcher I ever saw
3:45 she had a purpose
Nice for a pitcher to see our side of the plate
Woah a from cy young to
Catcher?
3.5 out of 10. work on not turning your body sideways to block, your turning your unprotected side to the ball. Fun video
Yea you better give all of us props are knees hurt
bro she’s packing 😂
I miss Trevor in Cleveland!
How do you keep arm from hurting
TIL: Chalupa rakes.
Receiving drills are up for debate. I teach receive and show the ball. The umpire is trying to look over your head for the ball. Present your glove with the ball in the strike zone after receiving. Steal more strikes that way. Other than that, I agree with her coaching. Wait for the ball, get under the ball, get around the ball, be earlier to the ball path. Good stuff.
Frickin’ Mike Piazza ova here
Imagine trever and marika together?
Bauer become my top 5 favorite players because of youtube. I wish some angel players did this
3:02 that’s how you break your thumb, she needs to keep it horizontal and under the ball.
So funny, prissy ass pitcher try's to be a bad ass catcher. Worlds apart, good on you Trev for entertaining us, love it!
She knows her shit
Will Smith and Trevor gotta have a competition for this 😂
So the warm up is what most hurdlers do in track? (The hip mobility)
Hip mobility is something that every position in baseball should seriously work on, and almost every sport should work on actually
I imagine Trevor would be a grown up version of the kid from the sandlot that plays catcher. He would be talking 💩 to all the batters 🤣😂
lol Bauer the catcher
so when does he get his contract for catcher
My best pitcher is Al Leiter 97 ovr
I’m glad I’m an outfielder
imagine if he is the 3rd sting catcher behind Barnes 😂
Free agent is a great hitter
You actually don't want to wait for the ball to travel all the way back to your body, you want to see the ball into your glove out front, otherwise it's kind of like your late and getting jammed on a pitch. However, you don't want to reach out for it, just in between. 2:30
You want to catch the ball about 12 to 14 inches in front of the plane of your mask. That way you have room to frame the pitch and allow the umpire a good view. Proper framing is done without moving your upper arm at all and minimal lower arm movement. Only your elbow and wrist hinge. The wrist movement should bring the web of your glove to the edge of the strike zone. Being right handed, I catch with the left, I could gain about 4 inches on the left edge and about 3 inches off the right on most pitches. Allow the glove to move, use soft hands and receive the ball. Think of it as if you had a bare hand, sort of.
All good catchers play that position because we love it, are not afraid of the bumps and bruises and maybe a little on the crazy side. I never caught a game where my index finger was not swollen afterward and quite numb.
Lol blondie was looking at him like a lion hunting prey
I played catcher all through little league and all through school
Not once did I ever do any drills like this 🤔
Who’s the hitter tho and did u get the dig’s?
Where are the vlogs
Luba Rakes 😏
He actually looks like a natural
Trev clapped thoseeew
I think her batting average is better than mine in college
It may be like that because in softball there are a lot of left handed batters instead of right handed due to something called "slapping." Slapping the ball gets you to first base and will advance runners because your body is already in motion toward first base as you are hitting the ball.
Jesus, the way LUPA was looking at trevor and the female(DON'T KNOW HER NAME) LUPA ok poked very jealous, she wasn't worried wether trevor might fall she was looking at the fact they were having a good time
The way trevor was acting next to the female was like very cautious on wat to do and say
Rachel is so small🤣🤣
I like her laughing at you.
0:12 😳😳😳😳😳😳
wheres the music.....the edits?
Anyone notice that his thumbnail is Austin Barnes with his face on it 😂
The biggest thing for any aspiring catcher to learn is not to flinch or react. Your job is to receive the ball. You can't react to the bat or flinch if the ball takes a bad bounce.
that chest protector is too small. lol
Trevor’s the next jt realmuto
@Bobby Baseball reviews oh well it’s a joke
Yep blocking the plate
