This is one of the most beautifully built churches in America. The design and the quality workmanship. I pray that this church is not closed or sold. Please do whatever it take to keep this lovely sanctuary OPEN for God's people to visit and see the interior and the exterior. Ft. Street Presbyterian church must NEVER.....EVER CLOSED.

This made me look up the church, Fort Street Presbyterian in Detroit. It's a really spectacular piece of Gothic revival architecture--the tallest church spire in the U.S. It's a historic landmark, so one can only hope they won't be stupid enough to tear it down, even if not many people go there.

This is not a huge pipe organ. The largest Church Pipe Organ Belong to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Saint. It has Five Manuals ( Row Of Keyboards ) , 206 Ranks ( Rows Of Pipes ) , and a grand total of 11,626 pipes, this organ can be found in the Salt Lake City Tabernacle on Temple Square in Salt Lake City Utah . The 1st Largest Pipe organ inthe world in The Atlantic City Music Hall Organ AKA the Board Walk Organ in Altanic City New Jersey . It has a toal of 1,235 stops with seven manuals . It also has an official count od 33,112 Pipes but the exact number is unknown . The 2nd largest pipe organ in the Wanamaker Grand Court Organ in Macy's Department store in Philadelphia .
Oh my, the church has a few attendants only. It is so sad. I mean everybody can be free in choosing to have religion or not. But, sometimes, I think of how they lost their faith. This world is indeed depressing like God is dead, but I hope everybody could have faith again... #peace
I love the song and its arrangement. It is sad, however, that there are so few people to sing it! It looks like a very historical church and it seems to be be dying. I hope it can grow to its former glory. What church is it. It appears to be Methodist or somewhere along that line of denomination.
My preacher retired two Sundays ago. We had a "guest" preacher last Sunday. And he is a good man, a good preacher. But last Sunday, it looked like we had more people in our choir than in our congregation. That happens a lot in churches all over this country. We're supposed to get a new preacher July ninth. But I hope our gest preacher will be back, Sunday, July 2.
Thank-you for that my brother. Is it your church? I attended a PCA church in Greenville, SC and enjoyed the most heart warming worship and more precious fellowship than all my 50+ years as a Baptist. I never looked back. Sadly, my precious little church family will not be there when I return for overseas in September. I shell seek another.
