- Alex Mob's adds a whole bunch of cleverly designed mobs to Minecraft. What's more is that the mod developer goes through the effort to make sure that they fit right in with the rest of vanilla Minecraft's style of mobs. In this mod showcase, we'll look at each of the mobs individually, as well as their related items!

This mod looks amazing! It’s probably the most vanilla-friendly mod that adds creatures to the game, even the fantasy ones don’t look that far-fetched. Also I love how each of the mobs have unique ways with interacting with one another, and how each of them have their own items that they drop without being too overpowered. I’ll definitely have to download this mod at some point!

A few ideas I like to share with this mod
1) Pigeon
Pigeons naturally spawn in deciduous forests like birch and also near villages. They are passive, and tend to live in flocks. They primarily feed on seeds, nuts, and vegetables. Their predators are raccoons, foxes and snakes. You can tame them with seeds like sunflower seeds, and breed them using nuts or veggies. Once tamed, you can sneak and right-click your pigeon to have them navigate your way home even from hundreds of blocks away. (Inspired by real pigeons' ability to find their way home over journeys of several hundred miles)
STATS:
HP: 6 (3 hearts)
Behavior: Passive
EASTER EGG:
If you name a pigeon "Cher Ami", a halo will pop above the pigeon's head, in remembrance of Cher Ami, the homing pigeon
2) Monarch butterfly
Monarch butterflies flutter over the flower forests of Minecraft. They are passive mobs, but any predator that eat the butterflies can poison them. You can breed butterflies with flowers, and it needs a milkweed plant near it to lay their eggs. After some time, a caterpillar will hatch and munch on the milkweed's fresh leaves. If the caterpillar eats enough leaves, it will transform into a pupa, and eventually, it emerges as a butterfly. By exterminating these innocent creatures, you can acquire it's wings, to upgrade your elytra into a butterfly elytra

EASTER EGG:
Naming a butterfly or caterpillar "Eric" (That's the best I could do) will change it's skin to look like the butterfly and caterpillar in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", written by Eric Carle

Fun fact, the call that the bald eagle has in the mod is more accurate to the actual call of a bald eagle. The majestic call that you tend to hear in movies is taken from the recording of a red-tailed hawk. Furthermore, bald eagles tend to steal their prey from other birds more so than hunting for their own prey.

The game probably crashed because the poisonous potato wasn't supposed to have a practical use, so the mere concept of the poisonous potato doing anything right in what was supposed to be it's sad, miserable existence left the game confused and possibly bamboozled.

Emus didn't dodge bullets, they were just so large and their organ layout was so spread thin compared to other birds, it often took multiple shots just to hit anything vital. They're quite literal bullet sponges.

Nah, Alex did a great job, really, but it was more of creative task, already done multiple times before by other modmakers that wanted new mobs. Mojang, on the other hand, had to reinvent Minecraft generation once again, and I bet it is a part that takes so long

Completely changing world generation and keeping old worlds looking natural when updating versions is a completely different challenge than adding a bunch of mobs

Considering the nether is Minecraft hell it makes sense that there are so many demonic creatures. Especially the mosquitoes, those things came from the deepest layers of hell and they belong there.

also some things that text couldn't get on the video:
-if you righ click a cockroach with mimicream it will change colors non stop
-if you give a mantis shrimp a water bucked it will be able to breathe out of water
-the way the crows collecting ability works its that you order the crow to gather items and he delivers them on a chest with a frame of the item

@@monke1001 don't mess with emu's. they can dodge bullets, which is one of the reasons Australia lost.
During the great emu war, its not that they were able to dodge the bullets, but that it took 30-40 bullets to take one emu down... They were surprisingly resistant.

Actually, the most accurate figure for bullet per emu we have is 10-1. Even then it was estimated that many more died from injuries.
I think I heard somewhere that it's bc they have smaller organs or they at least don't take up a lot of space so the bullets didn't hit a lot of organs. Idk if it's true but emus are OP either way (._.)
iirc capuchin monkeys can also be equipped with a certain dart weapon which makes them into bloons tower defense dart monkeys

Mojang’s current model for updates both baffles and frustrates me.
I think the bullet dodging myth is a mix of the Australian government trying to save face and a testament to what the soldiers thought was happening. Emu's are just walking meat tanks that can take a hilariously absurd amount of lead before they die multiplied by the fact they tend to be in mobs during certain seasons. Worst they are smart enough to actually recognize predators (aka the army's vehicles) and actively ran upon seeing or hearing motors from the trucks. The Aussie military even lost the war, though most of it was due to logistics.
