The interviews arent as long as you think on beats one. Alot of it is separated with the music being ran in between in and they probably edit a 2 hour conversation into maybe 30 min out of the hour the show is ran so pretty much the videos posted are the highlights from the hour.
Lived in DC for 4 years. Gogo is def a DC thing. We outsiders just don't get it. Crazy energy at those festivals but I could never rock with it. DC is lit tho, love that city 🔥

I love Pharrell so much. He's one of my favorite producers ever. But sometimes I feel like he acts so pretentious. He wants to act like he knows what he's talking about. There was a Art Basel interview where he kept calling the Fibonacci sequence an ambigram
I think Goldlink was disappointed at Pharrell's answer about Ecology of Love. Then again ... Pharrell has made a lot of music over the past (released and unreleased) it should be hard for him to recall things.

Chuck Brown is from North Carolina but lived in Virginia and Fairmount Heights Maryland, also DC own Rare essence’s started the Congo style play In which Chuck Brown had added into his music as well
Rare Essence is a Washington, D.C.-based go-go band formed in 1976.[4][5] Rare Essence has been amongst the most prominent musicians of the D.C. music scene, producing numerous hit songs in the local D.C. market and several hits nationwide, including the charting hit "Work the Walls".
Rare Essence was started in 1976 after childhood friends Quentin "Footz" Davidson, Andre "Whiteboy" Johnson, Michael "Funky Ned" Neal and John Jones decided to form a band.
