Great video Logan!!!!!!!!! We still have a great fall winter crop here in central Texas and it will continue until December. We planted on two acres several varieties of winter squash and pumpkin and are harvesting every Friday for the farmers market on Saturday. We love this channel and how you show people what farming is like. Our small farm is 6 acres and just enough for our family and to sell at market to enjoy retirement. I'm a retired chef and only 51 years old and enjoy living slower and simple. It ant much but it is honest work, God Speed!!
I love your videos as it is quite obvious that you love what you do. My Grandfather farmed for over 75 years and always said he loved what he did or he never would of done it for so long. I was wondering how this Covid has affected your crop production and sales as I have heard and seen some big farmers had to actually dump potatoes into holes and bury them because they would not sell.
Because we go to fresh markets we weren’t affected much at all. The markets stayed open and the customers were happier to buy fresh produce straight from the farm rather than go in the grocery store
@@BroyansFarm Thanks for the response and fresh is so much better. I grow my own potatoes and tomatoes and whatever else we want we buy from our local Amish Farmers. I would also like to say it is nice to see you handle your crops so carefully. It is easy to tell the difference between crops that are cared for verses veggies dropped into a bin from several feet high.
Another great video. Like the way you show how they look and tell the name of things. Sad to see that the harvest is coming to an end have enjoyed watching y'all pick the veggies. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us over the winter. From cajon country stay safe and good luck to y'all.
I LOVE TO TRY TO COOK YOUR LITTLES SQUASH...SO CUTE ORANGE AND WHITE COLORS...I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS LITTLE SQUASH IN THE MARKET IN AUSTRALIA...WHERE ARE YOU AT?, GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS. I ALSO LOVE WATCHING THE ''VEGIES BOYS FROM PENNSYLVANIA, USA. THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR ABUNDANCE OF CROPS. AWESOME.
New subscriber here. Great videos and I like the incorporation of music. Have you considered an external microphone? Sometimes it's hard to hear you over the machinery or wind in some videos.
Thank you! The decoratives are always attractive to me! Those look healthy! Do you happen to know what kind of wood your crates are made of? Are those 1bu? Is it ash or white oak, or? Thanks again!
Planting potatoes at the right time is key, you also want to try to get the dirt rowed up and ready for planting as dry as possible to keep dirt clots to a min, with them being a root vegetable the dirt clots will make it difficult to cultivate and dig, as well as create odd shape in the potatoes that can make them unmarketable.
Hi, I,m from Indonesia and I have some questions for you. Is orangitas same with jack be little ? And what's name the squash after you pick casparitas ? I heard that's pumpkin mons 😂, but in subtitle is pumpkin ones. 😂 I hope you can understand with my English.
I’ve watched your last six videos and wanted to ask a question. What’s the reason for not sharing the varieties of vegetables? Many folks have asked about them in your comments section and these questions are just ignored. What’s that all about? What’s that all about? if you don’t want to share variety information maybe you should tell folks that’s your policy instead of ignoring the questions. I can’t imagine the varieties you grow are much different from those grown by your friends down the road who gladly share the varieties they plant. Is competition so fierce and the information really that secret? Just curious about why some growers share this while others guard it like it’s a national secret. Thanks !
Don’t worry I am getting to it. You need to understand that for each vegetable I don’t just grow one variety. I grow 3-5 different ones for everything in case that seed failed. So it is almost impossible for me to learn and memorize all of that. I need to go back in my books and look into it all. I will answer all the questions soon.
@@BroyansFarm Hey Logan ! Thanks for your reply. No worries here, completely up to you. I can understand you’re busy, but some of these comments/questions are over 5 & 6 weeks old. I’m not sure why you’d have to memorize anything? I’d think all your varieties are written down when you order them or at least when you seed for transplants? I hope you understand the folks who follow channels like your’s are looking for more than just, “ oh, look at those beautiful pumpkins” or “my that’s a big cucumber”. Just want your channel to be a success man. Thanks & Good Luck !
@@BroyansFarm Logan, that’s awesome! I never would’ve expected you to have taken the time, but I know folks appreciate it. I sure do and just subscribed to your channel. Can’t ask for more than that ! Thanks again Logan !!
Hey In Defence of Broyans Farm, farming is a cut throat business where sometime's it's the last man standing, Brought up on a small farm that mainly grew strawberry's, My Father told me about about my Grandfather had a man come see him everyday about growing flower's, How to grow, pick and tool's you need, This neighbour then used this infomation to start his own farm and selling at the same market as my family with the same produce at a cheaper rate, That set off a price war with our Neighbours, friend became enemies, it got so bad that some Neighbour resorted into sabotage. families went backrupt in the 80's and 90's or just gave up and sold out cheaply to land bankers. So when are farmer refuses to answer what variety they grow, don't take offence if they don't tell you, they are just protecting there business practice. after all after all the trial and error of picking which variety to grow why should you rhey tell you.

Nice harvest 👍 So what's the secret of growing nice potatoes 🥔 🥔🥔🥔 ?
Plant them at the right time and make sure they have adequate water
