  • The Plimsouls song "How Long Will It Take" from the 1980 debut album / EP, This song is one of 5 songs on that album. All these songs are clean and good. Love their sound. Very hard to find these songs. My record was barely played, so its mixed loud and clear, enjoy. Finally up!

Had the pleasure of interviewing them for my college paper on the release of their debut album. Great guys. Great memory.

20/20, The Beat and The Plimsouls. All were awesome and underrated. This is the classic recording of this great song.

Great tune by a great band. If you saw them back in their late-1970s-early-1980s heyday, you know their live shows would (figuratively) tear a room apart with all the energy they projected from the stage. Also love the raw, unpolished feel created by the poor quality equipment they used to record this song.

The best live band that I saw (1979-1984) in the local LA scene. Went to many concerts during those years, and these guys always delivered an axcellent live show. It has always bothered me that they did not attain commercial success in the USA. Hope all the band members are doing well.

They still play together every once in a while. Saw them play a sold out show at the House of Blues in Anaheim a couple of years ago.
Peter Case is a solo artist now. He is touring the East Coast now. His show is nothing like the Plimsouls. he is more of a rock n roll folk singer now but the show is great and he covers a Plimsouls song every now and then. He is an amazing song writer and performer. Check him out if you ever get the chance.
He also recovered from open heart surgery.

When I think early 1980's I always think Plimsouls. That they never made it mainstream makes them and their music that much more authentic.

This version has always been my favorite... better than the re-recorded vers. on their first full LP.

The Gin Blossoms, who have sold over 30 million records and were the ultimate in late 1980's --> mid 1990's bands (and they're back touring and making albums now!) often play Plimsouls songs live. Their rendition of "Now" is brilliant. Peter Case and the Plimsouls were one of the best rock and roll bands to ever come out of Los Angeles, and their live shows were amazing. Whatever happened to them??
