Unfortunately i don't see any of that. I live in Battle Creek The city is struggling to come back. It no longer cereal city but pot city. The danger of Battle Creek is drugs, violence, trafficking. All the events and gathering is downtown plus it's never announced you have to have Facebook. Transportation is almost none existing. No cab services, Uber and Lyft is scary and city bus only run Mon to Friday 6 a.m to 3.:30 p.m with a hour break. Downtown lots of bars, coffee, one bank, dress shop and high end stores. Good luck visiting

There is no proper downtown. It sucks. Homeless and terrible potholed streets.

I was born and grew up there. Sad that the crime rate is 80% higher than any city large or small in the USA

Do you honestly think Battle Creek is the only city with drugs etc...please. When I visited home I can get the best chicken at Chicken Coop and love Sir Pizza!! Downtown is really growing again!!! I missed that hometown feeling. Sometime it's nice to live in a close community. My Father always told me there is no perfect place...but compared to the crazy traffic here in Tampa...I enjoyed my visits home in Battle Creek...❤

Beautiful Battle Creek river lol?!? It’s safe to say you’d probably find more bodies than fish. Also, if you live here, which I unfortunately do, everyone knows you don’t swim, float or come into contact at all with that river.
It used to be that sometimes when you would step outside you’d get a whiff of fruity pebbles or poptarts, this was Probably the best thing BC had to offer but that no longer exists anymore. Now we get to play the guessing game “gunshot or firework”? 9 times out of 10 .. gunshots.
Horrocks is cool, but pretty expensive.
There’s no jobs, nothing to do, the crime is beyond controllable and is getting worse and worse every day that passes and most of the people are very rude and have this sense of entitlement that they don’t deserve.
The mustache society has done a lot for the town but it’s hard probably to keep that momentum when it’s constantly being drug through the mud, trashed, damaged, stolen or broken entirely ..
This portray on Battle Creek is really misleading .. to the fullest extent to be honest.

I used to live there. What’s the mustache society? I’m so sorry it went so bad. This guys sure made it look grand! I was curious how it was there now. Thanks for your frank remarks. I still have family there. And my kids (and now grandkids) went to lamora and graduated from bcc.

I love your show but please don't put lipstick on a pigs ear...... BC is a dump... Horrocks is great. Took over an anchor sore in a dead mall..... BC is dead. Has not improved in 30 plus years. Kellogg's is not a community friendly company..... Very sad!

Battle creek is dying a slow death,.. There is really nothing there ,... And when he said its between Kalamazoo and Jackson, its between Kalamazoo and Marshall,.. I would never live in Battle creek way to many drugs and violence,. Sorry buddy you got it all wrong.

    • @jonahplays2635

I think you got it all wrong. While drugs and violence are a problem, that is due to the 'old guard' not investing in the city itself. In the last few years the city has really invested in itself and my generation knows it's up to us if we wanna see change. You can't just complain about it, you gotta be about it.
