Im surprised to see people commenting negatively on this, I especially love it from 1:20 onward. Im no music connoisseur so genuinely, what is wrong with this? It sounds really nice to me.
Honestly thought this song fit the town perfectly, surprised at the other comments. Matches the hustle and bustle of the Tharbad market as well as the oasis theming
It's because a lot of the people who commented don't even know the actual context of the town. They just listened to the song before they played the game and don't know about the other half of the city thats not shown in the picture.

I am okay with critiquing the songs (I honestly don't even care about the insane amount of singa hate because falcom is going to keep using him regardless) and such but commenting on the context of songs without any context literally makes no sense.
This is...actually a really good track. The synth feels a touch out of place, but it's generally actually kinda well done. There's just the teensy tiny problem of: Is this really a town/city theme? I feel this is more Falcom misusing music here than the composer missing the mark, but obviously I could be wrong either way. I think I'll reserve further judgment on this until I hear it in game for myself.
I... I don't think that's how the chords are supposed to work in the beginning? And those kicks, what? I can see what they're going for, but they're not really hitting it. I think this is an odd singa track in that it does have a decent idea throughout, as opposed to many where the foundation of the composition is as problematic as the arrangement. Has Minami Sky SC Evo "more is more" problems in parts though, where too much unnecessary dreck is taking away from sections that could stand on their own
The melancholic intro was actually quite decent... But then Singa's terrible instrumentation and lack of cohesion slap me mercilessly in the face. What an awful track.

たしかにいわゆる砂漠の街のBGM感はないけど、砂丘のフィールドBGMはバリバリの砂漠感だしてるからこれはあえてなんだろうね
賠償金による好景気と経済成長に沸き、砂漠で貴重な水を噴水にしたり、導力シーシャをふかしている"砂漠"の街にぴったりだと思う
イントロで民族楽器風の音を鳴らさけだすぐにaメロでかき消して、サビ部分は急に明るくなるけど所々闇を感じされるメロディと和音で構成されてて話を進めば進めるほど馴染んでくる良い曲だと思うな

The track is actually for a cinema festival, hosted in Tharbad City.
It fits really well in the game so far! Works well emotionally with where the story is at
