My heart is breaking right now... I was hoping so badly to see him play again in an Arsenal shirt again even if it would have only been in a pre season game to bid farewell. This is so sad. IMO he was the best player at Arsenal in the period since he joined. ¡Muchas gracias Santi! All the best to you little magician!

I see he has returned to the pitch recently as a sub for Villarreal. Such a pity he isn't doing it for the Gunners. I think Arsenal made a mistake letting him go. He's one of the best players I have ever seen in an Arsenal shirt. I miss him.

Nurse for life We had to let him go. He hasn't played in nearly two years and he takes a chunk out of our wage bill. Sadly he won't ever be like he used to.

Cazorla came to Arsenal when we was stuggling to attract top players. His class immediately showed and from day 1 he improved the team. His vision & passing range and his ability to strike the ball perfectly with either foot will forever be remembered #GraciasSanti

Such a shame, he was a real credit to Arsenal, a fantastic player and an all round decent bloke. Put his heart and soul into every game and you knew when he was playing, he wore the top with great pride. A rarity in modern football especially someone who wasn't born or raised an Arsenal fan, the picture of him walking on the pitch a few months back was heartbraking. He is a guy who loves football and just wants to play. Ravaged by injury but still a class player. I speak on behalf of football fans and say thank you for gracing the premier league. Our magician in midfield. He’s the one that created everything on the pitch. Our team structure fell apart when he got injured. Losing him was the reason our title challenge to Leicester ended prematurely. Farewell Santi. We will miss you.
