First Place: Nakotah LaRance (Hopi/Tewa/Assinboin), Ohkay Owingeh, New Mexico
He has passed away. Please offer your prayers today for the family of Nakotah LaRance. Nakotah was a world hoop dance champion, and instructor to many children. Nakotah was such a kind and generous soul and will be missed by the world. If you'd like to support financially, donations can be made to the Lightning Boy Foundation where Nakotah mentored many youth dancers. I will link the foundation in the comments below. Thank you.

Nakotah gave so much to this world and his passing is extremely sad . RIP Nakotah.His energyand skill of which he passed on to others was so impressive. Showed the world the best Hoop dancing whilst honouring his traditional Hopi Nation. You are a great teacher! Have been sawing for a few years. Learned A LOT from this video. I did run my finger over a saw blade upside down in the saw - once. As you said, you won’t do it again. Fortunately, it was a painful lesson so i have not done it ever again. Thanks for the reminder to relax and enjoy the process!

My kids and wife seen him last year in an arkansas school...we are devastated with what a beautiful human being is lost.
