Just got my Homecoming suit and needed a good shoe sole tutorial. THANK YOU! I honestly had no idea Costumers for Christ was a thing and I really appreciate what you are doing! God is so good! Thanks again!
This tutorial worked WONDERS!! I used it to add bottoms to my Ladybug cosplay and it was perfect. I highly recommend doing a practice round with a pair of old socks. I did that on my first try, and it didn’t have great alignment. So grateful I didn’t do it on my costume first! Once I practiced, it turned out magnificent!! Fantastic!!!
Wow this absolutely worked. Was worried for a sec but I just stood up long enough for it to adhere. The tip about 2 sizes down was perfect. I am a 12 in mens but the 10 was perfect. No hangover. I will say that I used the whole bottle of gorilla superglue . I wanted to do my kids costumes as well but next time I will know to use a bigger bottle. Excellent tutorial. Thank you!!! God bless!
Hi Scott! Thanks for this tutorial! I was looking for something like this for my bodysuit cosplay. I'm doing Miraculous Ladybug in her hero form so this was definitely needed.
I am doing a Christmas Carnival for a church that asked me to volunteer as Spider-Man. This is exactly what I was planning on doing, but I was a little worried about what adhesive to use. THANK YOU!
Just got the black & gold Spiderman No Way Home suit today & this video was perfect for it and also my Nightwing suit too \m/ thank you✊😎🌲🐧🌲🐧🌲🤟~~~~~~~🕸️🕸️
omg thank you so much for making this video! I'm cosplaying as Spider Woman (Jessica drew) this year and I was worried on how to make the sole for the feet.... thanks again! great Spider-Man cosplay btw!!! 🖒
Thank you very much. This video helps. I have a the same Spider-Man suit as you except it's a different design. It's movie and comics mixed up. Thanks again. My Spider-Man boot cover was ripping so adding the thing from water shoe is a good idea. Thanks
I'd really like to see how to complete your arkham series batman costume after the cowl video and id also like to see some diys for example superman diy or iron man or something your channel is great and deserves more subscribers and views keep up the good work
If the superglue Is used generously enough it will penetrate through the thin material of the suit and stick to the insole. Or once you have glued the rubber sole on, turn your suit inside out and glue the insole to the inside of the suit! :)
Thankyou so very much for the tutorial of how too put shoes on a bodysuit I just got my venom and I'm going too try this for Halloween thankyou again for your help with the video
Dude I’m an idiot😂😂😂😂 I’m working on a Spider-Man shirt film and today we went out and took pictures with kids to promote the film and my actor was wearing the suit with no shoes because we didn’t think it would be harmful and now there a few holes in the feet and I bought a pair of those boot cover on Amazon that had the Spider-Man webs but this was a so much cheaper and easier. Thank you so much
Scott, what cheap shoes would you recommend for a TASM 1 costume? I'm working on this, and EVERY shoe sole I find is $60 or over, and it would be nice to get something for $20 or less.
Hi there. I saw your tutorial on attaching soles to the spodey suit. May I know when you cur the top part of the shoes off the rubber soles, does it still have some fabric at the inner side wall of the rubber soles? 2ndly, after you glue on the soles, is there any gap around the inner side around the soles as you only apply glue to the bottom. Lastly, when glue cured, does the insoles get glued as well by the glue you placed at the outsoles? Does it penetrate through the suit faric and to the insoles? Thanks.
how long will the glue adhere to the suit for? i've heard not to do it this way because it'll peal off quickly after being fairly active in them? help! I keep seeing conflicting opinions and it's annoying hehehe could i get at least a day out of the glue while i'm at nycc this year? thanks for the tutorial!
Cons are large. There is a lot of walking. Get the most comfortable pair of shoes you can get or line them in memory foam! Trust me, gel pads won't hold up, they wear out in a few hours.
I did this with my suit, using water shoes, but becase of the stretchy spandex of the costume my feet kind of flop and the feet don't fit on too tight with the sole, like they're weighted down or something. Any ideas for solutions? Only thing I can think of is take some spare material and wrap it around inside the foot of the suit to create a firm fit sandal like thing, but that doesn't seem too good. Any tips would be appreciated. My suit is a one piece suit by the way.
Well, this is why I recommend using the cheap soles as they tend to be lighter weight. The only other thing I can recommend is making sure the spandex stocking is snug on your foot. The tighter it is the less it will sag. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
Scott Bayles thanks for responding. I used 10$ water shoes from dicks. They are a bit heavy on the sole though, but they're pretty comfortable with all the running around I do. I might have to try a different glue that can hold the edges a bit better. With the disconnect from the sole to the costume, that might be a reason for it to stretch.
Do you still have the flexibility of your foot? Like can you still go on your tip toes and pose as Spider-Man? Just curious bc I have a far from home suit and want to install these but want to make sure I can still be flexible in them.
Hi! I was wondering how do you wash the entire suit? Do you just throw it in the machine machine? I plan on doing this but with my new upgraded Silk Costume!
Hey Scott. I think this is a great video and it is very helpful. However, I want to be able to wash my suit in the washing machine after using wearing it and I cant do that with the shoe soles on. I was wondering if it is just possible to use red electrical tape for the soles while i wear the shoes inside the suit?
Thanks for your videos and keep them up. I do have a quick question for you though. How do you go about washing you costume once you attached the rubber soles to them? I have a custom batman zentai suit and wanted to add some soles to it.
This works! BUT word of warning! I did this for my 4 year old, and some of the gorilla glue seeped past the inserts and onto his feet and glued his feet to the costume and glued his toes together.
Just a quick question, can't you just get a pair of cheap water shoes and wear them sole and all inside the costume? I am debating what to do with my suit and want an actual shoe outline like I have seen in some other tutorials where they take the soles off but keep the upper shoe intact.
I did kinda the same thingnwithnmine but different I wore the shoe and put on the sit any glue it inside the suit but you have to role up the leg of the suit and put you foot in it I wanted to be jump in the suit quick so I cut the black fabric of the shoe but when I put it on it felt loose and my feet shift every time I move around or do poses so the lesson I learn always learn from your mistakes I might take it off and replace it with a new show with out cutting the fabric but I'm still debating on leaving it the way it is

Perfect!! This is exactly what I am watching this video for😂❤ Ladybug gang!!
note.. if making a mistake when gluing, you can use a small about of nail polish remover, to remove the sole and start over
That's what the insoles are for.
Johnny Webb what do you mean?
This video was EXACTLY what I needed to complete my Spider-Man costume. Thanks for the help!
Just ordered the ps4 Spider-Man suit and was looking to put soles on it. I'm really glad I have some old small water shoes. Thanks man.

Loved it. It helped me find out hot to change my boots on my suit
Great tutorial! Big thanks.
But how do you clean the suit after that? Washing machine?
Best vid on soles yet
Great tutorial! I just have one question: Won't the insoles fall out?
If the superglue Is used generously enough it will penetrate through the thin material of the suit and stick to the insole. Or once you have glued the rubber sole on, turn your suit inside out and glue the insole to the inside of the suit! :)
The glue went through the inner sole to my feet and didnt glue to rubber sole. Even after two hours of pressure
So glad I saw this. Thanks for the tips
My hero, thank you so much I’m gonna use this for my Shego costume!
amazing job with the costume ..love

What about when washing the costume, won't the soles get ruined?
Does it stick your feet since your putting glue, or the suit protects your feet?
The insoles protect your feet
