why? well aside from nightmare getting shipped with himself dreammare is just incest. AND BEFORE YOU START RANTING
I KNOW CORRUPTED NIGHTMARE IS A DIFFERENT PERSON but the fact that he was originally passive and is getting shipped with Dream is just kinda messed up. imagine a corrupted version of yourself taking over your body and dating your sibling.
the same thing implies for Nightmare x Nightmare just not incest and straight up weird even if their different people they somehow share the same body? conscience? idk. but you get my point.
of course these are just my opinions

Dreamare and Nightmare x Nightmare are very situational for me
I’ll take Dreamare if it’s platonic like yeah there might be cuddling and kisses (kisses as in like forehead kisses to show comfort nothing else) or in an AU where the two aren’t related (yes there are AU’s where they aren’t related such as the Human Dreamswap where they were raised by a church or something and that’s why they call each other brother)
As for Nightmare x Nightmare I will only take AU’s where they have separate bodies Nightmare(the parasite) hosts a different body then meets the guardian Nightmare but the two remain separate or if its a Venom situation and the boys just trying to live and deal with each other’s bull

@@Qulrky still doesn´t mke it right to ship it. If you need to change the age of the character to make it sort of legal (which it still isn't, but whatever), then it's problematic and toxic anyway. But you do you, I have no right to tell you what you should and shouldn't do.

Well it's not just that it's self love. in the canon Passive Nightmare was six when the apple incident happened which he was presumed dead. Corrupted Nightmare took over his body and massacred Dreamtale. Shipping a dead child with something that took full control of its body doesn't sit right with him.
I also headcanon that Corrupted Nightmare despised his past self (because he remembers his memories since he took over his body) he hated how weak and pathetic he was, he hated all the villagers, he hated Dream. And just hated the past in general.

I hate dreammare so much. Even in aus where they aren't related they almost always see each other as brothers. Also it's like this whole "well they aren't related in my au" is only something that happens with sans aus. Most other incest ships are just out right incest but sans aus just try to say "what no it isn't incest even though they are brothers" like if in other fandoms I tried to make an au where siblings aren't siblings just so I can ship them id get soooo much hate.
With nightmare x passive I can see where people are coming from BUT there are major flaws in this ship. One, most people see them as the same person and have a hc that nightmare is still passive just goopified. Two, passive and nightmare share a body and/or passive is a ghost connected to nightmares body. Three, passive is dead, a ghost which leads me onto my next point, passive is six years old. Nightmare is five hundred years old. While yes I'd you go with "oh but passive was a ghost so hes also 500" no. No he's not. Because if a Baby a literal infant died say ten years ago that ghost isn't ten it's still an infant, a baby, a child. See my point? Also I don't think passive would ever be interested in nightmare, the guy who killed him, tortures his brother, and destroyed his au.

Yeah, I agree as well. Another thing with Dreammare is that although people can say “well canonically corrupted nightmare isn’t related to Dream,” even so, both nightmares share a body and corrupted nightmare shared some behaviorisms and memories of the original nightmare. Having Dream date the person who killed his brother, stole his body (his BROTHER’S body), and has some of his brother’s memories is really weird and is pretty much on the verge of outright incest (and maybe is literal incest depending on your definition). Not to mention that Nightmare did kill almost everyone in their village, kill their mother (who kinda sucked anyways but that’s besides the point), and Dream will literally start melting by just being in the vicinity of Nightmare makes the entire thing not work. Like, you’d have to change a lot of canon details to make this even remotely make sense from a character and story standpoint (plus I’m pretty sure the creator themself said that they don’t like this ship, so take that as you will)

Unless Dust somehow either got a weapon imbued with Dream's positivity magic or something like this, it's always gonna fail. Forever. (as a result, it makes Dream and his kids the only confirm people who can hurt Nightmare... since you can argue that Nightmare's own kids would just make their Dad stronger everytime they try... since, the attack is made of the same energy as him)
As for poison, I heard somewhere, dunno if true, that Nightmare is immuned to poison, so... a fail, yet again. So, yeah, for Nightmare, it is just watching Dust wasting his time and energy on it (maybe because he wants to be returned to his world but Nightmare enjoys his negativity... and later more than that)
