- Having narrowly escaped the Fall of Reach with their ship heavily damaged, the crew of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn find themselves on an uncharted star system surrounded by the Covenant and with no backup.
The crew of the cruiser prepares to defend their vessel from the Covenant's boarding parties, who seem hellbent on preventing the Humans from reaching the strange ring-like artifact nearby...

I love the opening cutscene. The extra dialogue from the Thel about the Autumn. Plus the details of the space battle going on.
Considering how catastrophic the Fall of Reach was in canon, seeing the Autumn practically pristine in the intro of every playthrough does break up stuff a bit.

It isn't epic, it is chaotically epic! The poor covenant troops and marines seem to be caught in one of Chief's crazy mods.
The addition of the Reach theme, knowing what we now know about the Autumn escaped, is a nice touch.
Wonder who those other spartans are meant to be
One of them is supposed to be Linda, the Spartan that got put on a cryo tube to freeze her cliniclly dead body after the Fall of Reach. It looks like on this mod she survived the battle without issue.

My headcannon is this is an alternate timeline where Linda wasn't as critical injured, blue team wasn't redirected and went with them both and with their combined help they were able to not only better secure the autumn landing sight to keep Emile alive but also were able to knock out the ship prepping to glass them and load not just the last 2 members if noble team (possibly more if you deviate things further) as well as additional army, navy, spartan 2/3 and marine personel (both the ones stationed around the ship breaking yard but also the ones at the rally point that the final level takes place), it could also diverge where the autumn was prepped early for red flag and instead of sending their Spartan 2s to do their various missions in orbit and on world, they just beelined for covinent space to try and capture a profit and either randomly found halo or Cortana decided to check the jump destination she had in cannon (they get it on another mission where they recover forunner data if I recall, if I remember it's explored in fall of reach the book)

HAVOC mod is pretty good. A few annoying bugs, but the sheer scale of it is a kind of fun on its own. Also, 343 Guilty Spark (Unknown Classification) is absolutely wild.

@@liameyles1450 You need to go into Master chief collection in your steam library and select the "Manage DLCs" that is ontop of the Workshop.
there you should see what Halo games you have installed, then you must download the components that are required by the mod.
Usually the authors will list them on the mod's description

funny enough in the book for Halo CE a stealth elite was actually tasked to capture Captain Keyes alive when the ship got boarded. He was able to get on the bridge and watched the humans all the way until he was shot dead on a escape pod.
This could easily have happened if the elite said F it and gunned down everyone on the bridge.
I played this mod like 3 times over normal, hard and legendary difficulty. One of the best mods i played by far. Also i was surprised that linda was in the mod while also the other 2 spartans (which i named) makes the game feel good knowijt your not the only spartan now and a spartan without an army cause you are a warrant officer so would be weird not to have the troops with you all the time, especially now with different marines now, the medics, spec ops, sergeants and even ranks that go with them including the Corporals and the medics only thing missing are the odst but hey I'm perfectly fine with this. I will tell you this tho, it gets crazier as the missions go on and flood missions are just fear now, he out did himself on this one and hope you enjoy the mod like i have definitely for me 10/10.

Waiting for a Mod that allows you to select a custom weapons load out before the mission starts and carry extra ammo in say a backpack. Definitely would like to see the Grenade launcher, flame thrower, Convent weapons as default and the Mini-gun
SPV3 does give you custom loadouts at the start of each mission if I remember correctly

Do you got any advice for a Halo game because I'm at the moment writing th achievements, story, all of it. I need some advice on what could be good In the game. Just so you know this is an ODST game.
make it Battlefield-esque and have some Human v Human action. imagine the interplanetary war (Pre-2200) or the Insurrection's resurgence in the post-war era (After Halo 3)
Have the characters be normal people being forced to fend off a galaxy of Covenant, Forerunner and UNSC/Human Threats.....
I would preferably make a game from the Insurrectionists' side since in the lore the UNSC did a lot of fucked up things to keep control of the outer colonies.
How about an ODST trooper veteran from the Covenant War that ends up defecting after discovering the fucked shit ONI did to his family and planet?

@pvt.jonwallace yeah I'm working my way there this mod author has really helped me a lot with rebuilding my channel. We've worked closely to get bugs worked out on his last iteration. He has been a god send for me and my channel. Just a simple fact that after 3 days on my channel I have raised almost 40 more subscribers and gotten over 200 watch hours it's insane to me. I'll be happy when I can get to your level. I have a lot of respect for you for here for what you have built

been playing this mod a bit myself. only complaint is. you barely do anything. your allies are there to outgun the covies. this is most notable on silent cartographer. not played any further than that tho
can confirm, even on Heroic the covenant are hilariously outgunned
@@pvt.jonwallace I do like that you barely do any damage to teammates tho. heck, even the vehicles (which do 1,000 damage on contact. in base halo CE anyways) do the lowest possible damage
ignoring back smacks still K.O. in one hit. you do the lowest possible damage value to teammates. you can still merc 'em, it'll just take a *lot more* ammo than you can carry (don't ask how or why I tried this for 3 hours)
