    I think the best way to put holes in thin plastic is a solder iron to melt through at least works best for me :)

    Is this good fot a 55 gallon tank? And does the holes stay the same size for all the trays?

    • @TheFishNerd
      @TheFishNerd  Před 6 lety +1

      +Kathleen Monsegue would be fine for a 55. I’m running it on a 150 gallon turtle pond with four turtles and 30-40 fish.
      And yeah, same size holes throughout.

    I have 2 separate 75 gallon tubs for my red eared sliders. Would it be possible to hook this sump up to both tubs?

    • @TheFishNerd
      @TheFishNerd  Před 5 lety +1

      Yup! Either have one tub drain into the other before the second drains into the sump or have two pumps and let both tubs drain back into the sump.

    So how do the water make it to tanks? Can i use this for multiple tanks? Im new to using sumps

    • @TheFishNerd
      @TheFishNerd  Před 5 lety

      Water pump pushes the water back up to the tank.

    Can you use this for salt water?

    • @TheFishNerd
      @TheFishNerd  Před 4 lety

      I've never kept saltwater but I'd imagine so.

    Ironic how something that was created with the intention to clean things turns out to be the very thing that has successfully assisted in growing huge amounts of bacteria !! 😉
