"The Autowah Boss" - Testing SONICAKE Cry-Bot Filter for Bass Guitar

- Hello friends, taking inspiration from several TV programs such as "Cake Boss", "Weddings Boss" and so on... I have nicely improvised my own "Auto-Wah Boss"!

During the last year I lived a slapic love with the autowah effect, also known as envelope filter or bass-duck mode. Used live as proto-guitar loops maker, this effect blends perfectly with my stubbornly funky bass lines. It can be enjoyed fried or grilled, but its best version is certainly the one in groovic sauce.
As I said I have used the Roland / BOSS AW2 since long time, in the last period I worked with the autowah included in the Guitar Rig software which I find tasty; in fact I love the possibility of inserting it post, therefore after recording bass tracks from Orange Terror Bass head output and also for the fact of preserving the flat track. For example, in some songs where the main bass track is "autowahed" I wasn't quite sure, when I recorded it, to do it with auto wah. In fact it is an effect thinked to be used spot, by eliminating many functional low frequencies of the instrument, you don't activate it for the whole song. On the other hand, what am I doing there? This is a job for "Auto-wah Boss"!
The effect I test in this video is the SONICAKE Cry-Bot, honestly I found it very nice and varied. While I was recording, the impression hearing from the amp was that it was sounding more nasal so I cut some mids of my SIRE Marcus Miller V7 Vintage bass; I probably shouldn't have cut too much. Moreover, listening to the track after recording the video, I think I should have been playing passive because I noticed some distortion due of input excess. This is to say that the pedal's potential is yet to deepen and I will certainly do so in the near-near future. Meanwhile, I underline that it is a pretty cheap pedal (about $35) but it is actually True-Bypass, in metal, solid and well made. In addition to being definitely pocketable!
