The end update is a complex one. The end is scary. It's desolate and lonely. When you're far away in the outer ends it doesn't feel safe and homely. They need to add features keeping the vibe of the end in mind.
If they just add a bunch of new mobs and biomes itll lose its essence and just kinda become another nether. That's why I think they're taking their time with this one cuz it's a difficult one to tackle

I feel like how they could balance the end is make it so you spawn on end islands first with all of the new biomes and then venture your way to the ender dragon.

Great ideas! One update I would like to see is if mojang adds RPG Progression systems, more weapons, more hostile mobs. That way it may get interesting sense a lot of people aren’t enjoying Minecraft now

I think one way to make the game more interesting would be if they made strongholds more difficult. Imagine if instead of just 12 eyes of ender to activate the portal, you needed a special drop from the wither, the warden, the elder gaurdian, and some other boss like mob, adding an actual reason to fight these enemies before the dragon.

So hear me out i got 2 ideas for the dark update and the bird update so first the bird update what if they added the birds with the birch biome update because birch trees are ideal for birds
now the dark update so there is 2 ways to open the portal fight the warden and then a ring will appear in the middle you will need shards a specific amount like 5 or 10
2nd way find shards and get a flint and steel which could craft the dark lighter which could be used to light the portal you will need 8 shards and one flint and steel
