    Roger from Bunnings you can ""Now"" buy a led light it actually looks like a sweat head band and flat with a little spot light on the side 2 settings the 200mm flat led has 2 settings. And can be set to off and on by moving your hand across. And only $16-00. I'VE got 2of them for 2years and better than excellent 👍

    Hi Roger, you can use a glow in the dark(GID) phosphorus adhesive strip instead of mini glow stick. It will be easy to charge and wont get knocked off the tip of the rod, if you forget to take it out before casting the bait out.

    Hi Roger! You can buy online some large clip lights for the tip of your rods (normally XL or XXL for heavy surf rods), if you want to go fishing at night. They work really well and are dead easy to clip in. BCF usually has some good ones.

  • @justinlambert4937

    I used to use ‘mighty bright’ self adhesive reflective tip tape on my beach rods over in Blighty - they come in thin strips (various colours too) that you can wrap around the tip, as long or short as you like. They are very effective and reflect the light from a head lamp. I never liked using isotopes so I appreciate what you are saying. Also, if worried about spooking fish with light - use a red light. 👍

  • @Jeffm86
    @Jeffm86 Před 3 měsíci

    I use the party glow sticks from Coles that comes in a tube. I tape it on the end. Works a treat and they are about 4 times bigger than your normal fishing glow tips

  • @forehandlooper
    @forehandlooper Před 3 měsíci

    I use one of the headlamps that has red and green light settings. Usually on a clear night the light from the moon is enough to silohuette enough of the rod so i often don't have the light on at all. I've found the line can get caught behind when you tape things to the rod.

    In South Africa we use clear box tape on the glow stick on the tips of our rods making sure the stick sits on the opposite side of the tip guide. or 2 very small zip ties one on each side of the glow stick, aging making sure the ends on the zip tie sit on the back on the rod black not in front of the tip guide where your line runs through.

For night fishing, you can get clip on lights now days pretty cheap online, they clip onto and glow the end of your rod a nice green color, some have bells attached for easy indication of fish bites and some are purely glow sticks - id recommend grab a few different types and see which works best for you - my favorite are the led light clip on with attached bells, i purchase 50x for $8 online and they are a must have for night fishing

I think the best tiimes for jews is 4 days before the full moon and 5 days after on a run up tide i use fresh yakka fillets or fresh squid I dont think they that fussy i have found all sorts of creatures in there stomachs from crustaceans to fish just have to be in the right place at the right time good luck.
