Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on CZcams before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷

In a cut of an interview with AJ after her audition, best to my memory she said..."an older lady came up to me and she told me that I made her cry. I said, I'm sorry I didn't mean to" I would have hugged her after that as well.
I have been listening to music for almost 70 years and have witnessed some of the greatest artists of our generation. For the life of me I cannot understand how this little angel can reach deep into my soul like she can. Her version of A million years ago left me emotionally eviscerated and at the end she turns back into the child she is and waves bye like it's time for cake.
To this day, I am not sure she understands how impactful she is.
Her version of I put a spell on you was a masterclass on singing. She has incredible breath control and perfect pitch but it is her musicality and instincts that are off the charts. How she knows how to sit on certain consonants and makes us wait on the vowels, how she adds intentional vocal cracks, I mean who taught her that?
How can she emote these lyrics muchless perform open heart surgery on the listener? Oh and let's not lose sight of the fact that she has been speaking and singing in several languages, reading and writing music and doing her own arrangements since she was 6!
Speaking of 6, if you watch her grandmother's video of Angelina in the studio singing "I who have nothing", at the very end she takes a deep breath and then she blows out all but just a little bit of air in her lungs to make the last verse sound forlorn. I mean who taught her that at the ripe old age of 6? I wouldn't know to do that at age 60!
At first I thought she was just out of breath and trying to catch her breath. But I have watched it more times than I can count and at different speeds, that was intentional. And you can see her make the decision at the last second.
And can we take a minute to talk about her covers? Because I am here to make the argument that Angelina doesn't do covers. She re-enginers them. She takes them apart and rearranges them into something new.

I think I could go on for hours about her and so could my crew.
But, the very best thing to see is that she remains a class act even in sin city.

Great reaction 🙂 I appreciate that you read Andy's story as well, very few reactors take the time to do that. As you get to know Angelina you will clearly see that there is a lot to her, not only as a singer, but also as a human being. She's beautiful both on the outside AND the inside, so her voice never really stood a chance to be anything less than beautiful either 😊 Take care!

But to be honest, I THINK that the long introductions potentially can turn a few people away, particularly in a world where platforms like TikTok dominate, completely destroying any and all long-term attention span. Also, you may experience that people skip ahead in your videos, which ultimately is no good for the channel's algorithms. BUT the introductions helps your reaction pass the "elusive" 8 minute mark. Stew, I envy you as you begin your Angelina journey. Every performance is a new treasure to your life. The good news for those of us who have listened countless times to each performance is, they get better with each listen. Angelina's music and persistent message of kindness and love, provide me with hope and keep me emotionally balanced through these tough times. Her next performance on Norway's Got Talent is for the Judge's Cut round and not done in front of a audience, only the judges. Too many singers had passed their audition, so they had to narrow the field. Singers were required to sing a cappella, unless they also played a instrument. Angelina sings the Billie Holiday version of "I'm a Fool to Want You". Please use the video which is 2:32 in length.
She is a gift. Her voice is captivating and beautiful a n d soulful.
