Space Station 13 is a game that you're not going to understand unless you play. It's not a game you can learn by watching or reading, and it is a game you certainly won't master in your first day, week or month. Space station 13 is one of the most insane experiences of my life, a game that has occupied my time for over a decade now. Space station 13 is the roguelike of roguelikes for me, the most wonderful piece of human created madness, and certainly on equal footing with dwarf fortress in terms of sheer complexity. Please join in as I embark again, for just another day on space station 13.

Science would get in the way of their real goal, which is killing and/or drugging the entire station.
So I tried to be an engineer on goonrp, figured one guy who's teaching himself was better than the none that they had at the time (last time I ran as an engie was seven years ago). I don't really know what I did, but within moments there was some angry noises and the engine started glowing purple. I tweaked things once lightning started firing out of the thing, and it started glowing rainbow colors. At some point explosions started happening. The CE eventually showed up as things hit their peak explosiveosity.
I have no idea what I did, but I powered the station and got scolded for trying a hellburn on my own, so I don't think that went too bad.
Tex says the way to learn is to do, so replicate some of what you did. Maybe it will work. Or maybe you'll break the engine. Either way you learn more, and maybe you have a good laugh on the way.
so with no training whatsoever you did better than I could when I had some sort of training... good job sir
Purple glow and lightning are good. Now I still need to improve myself when it comes to solo hellburns but I'd suggsest to mess with the engines blowers using a multitool a bit. Activated them and turn up the kpa on those babies. Maby even take the supercontucter and ask the miners if they can infuse it with some erebite.
The best way to learn is to do, and if you fuck up really bad, that's what the Solars are for.

Once I got a bunch of volunteers to fart into a scrubber and we packed that shit full. The gas collection chamber we created was so potent we were puking though our gas masks. I LEARNED IT FROM YOU, DAD!

The second Country Roads started playing, I fully expected it to be a prelude to masses of meteors hitting the station and was disappointed that did not happen.

Played a round of goon two days ago and it was this new station, ozymandias. It was a fun station.

@@odstbag337 Maybe it isn't new, but I had never seen it, and it seemed as if noone else had either.
Quick maths:
101 KPa = 1 atm
+1 atm = +10 m underwater (e.g. 50 m underwater is about 5x normal atmospheric pressure)
25000 KPa = ~24.8 atm
24.8 atm = ~248 m underwater
Safe scuba diving is ~40m, so that means that this is x6 greater pressure than what would be considered safe diving depths.
Now, it's possible that this is all going into a tank and is therefore relatively safe... but I choose to imagine that the whole room is packed with 2500 KPa worth of fart gas... which would mean that Tex and his buddies withstood insane pressures and KEPT THE GASS COMMIN'

They did? I just was working on one the other day and started to get a runaway but i couldn't keep up with the pipe breaks to maintain the hot loop.
they fixed the bug where infinitely small amounts of gas got heated infinitely, yes. You have to do pipe burns to get really high outputs now

I was planning on piping the farts into the hot loop, that was during the early stages of my research into trying to use farts in the engine and it works well if you have the patience.
I dig the new editing style (though I also like the old one, would love a mix of the longer old form ones too) but small request- the blue closed captioning is a little hard to see. maybe a yellow or a gold with black outline to improve readability?

Yo TEX interesting thing about fartgas. If put into the engine in some way, the combustion chamber or the loops. It takes CO2 and converts it into plasma. For the combustion chamber is great since you can do a closed door hellburn and not have any CO2 causing it to get REALLY hot.
If I was a goon admin I'd dedicate some time each round to replacing one singular tank of a random gas on the station with a fart gas tank. Clearly labled of course but still silly.

My favorite ss13 game was when I played as geneticist right when they enabled it for a week and I broke it two different times, the first time I made all the monkeys have a disease that made them sneeze bees and spread the disease by farts and urine and then one person opened the door and then the whole station slowly got infected and started sneezing bees
