  • In my last few videos I went over three "new for 2024" rinseless washes and showed how the manufacturer claimed each could be used in multiple ways. In this video we test all three, diluted as waterless washes. (outdoors, as always) BTW, yes, I am aware that with a waterless, you are supposed to roll the towel. Thanks for watching!

    Your videos answer exactly the questions I have been having about the various rinseless solutions. My biggest gripe is availability. If they were all available through Amazon I would buy them immediately. When choosing my go to detailing chemicals, Amazon availability trumps cost.

      I understand the need to get things quickly and without a ton of shipping charges. Where I am I can get things from Car Supplies Warehouse and Detailed Image within 2 days, and a few others within 3. The only places that take forever to me are Autofiber and The Rag Company.

    I continue to use DIY rinseless which has been amazing since they came out ! Especially since in “real” life washing the vast majority of us are doing it on the sun and diy is great! I hear nothing but good things about hero and feinlab

    Great and thorough video, and I see you're up to 127 subscribers now an hour after this one posted! We could see the window streaking that you were wondering if it showed up on camera. Which i appreciate very much as I am a mobile detailer and 9 out of 10 cars I'm working on in the sun. And the sun reveals all streaks lol. Windows, especially interior windshields are my greatest challenge. People who say oh its easy just spray any window cleaner and wipe with any towel must not check their work outside with the sun, or they just cant see 😅 .
    I have Hero on order, cant wait to try it.
    I've been having great results lately with the classic uber sio2 as rinseless and as a drying aid using the quick detail ratio 3oz/gallon. Try it!
    Keep up the great work 👍

      When I do the video I can easily see it, but you never know what the camera picks up. (Like dirt on cars) when I watch back on the computer it's on a 27" monitor. When I watch other videos from people it's on my phone so the descriptions always help. Thanks for the positive words.

    Subbed! Love this test. I am just an enthusiast but no garage so your outfit content helps tremendously! Hero has been a game changer for me. Use it in direct sunlight on my black car and it just WORKS. So easy and looks fantastic. And the smell is amazing! I do want to try Feynlab but it will be hard to knock Hero off it's top spot

    Would be good to see, say Eco Wash, at different dilution ratios beyond manufacturer recommendations.
    Is your water hard? If so, you could demonstrate waterless wash solutions using tap water v deionised water. This in particular has always intrigued me, but I can't test it as my tap water is pretty good.
    Thanks for all the effort you put in!

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Před 2 měsíci

      I guess you could say I have hard water. From the tap it's 115 ppm. I don't run a filter. In the Feynlab test I was running well water at 165ppm. The beauty of rinseless washes is that the polymers and surfactants inside the product soften the water, and the claim is that minerals are encapsulated. When I mix the dilution like waterless washes, I use bottles gallons of purified water. I'll see if I can do a different dilution test to see where the glass streaking ends with those products that cause streaking.

      @@TheOutdoorDetailerthanks. Another suggestion would be to spray different RW's on a dirty panel at their RW dilution ratio then rinse off. This would be a good test of pure cleaning power. For instance, i tried this and Ech2o was rubbish. I intend trying Hero, DIY Detail and P&S next week.

    Thank you for this video. I do believe that for the feynlab all you needed was .25oz ( 7.4ml) in a 32oz bottle. That's probably why it was streaky. If it's 1:125 in a gallon. That would be 1oz per gallon. So at 32oz you would only need .25oz. Thanks again for sharing.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Před 2 měsíci

      Their instructions actually show 2 dilutions, which is 1:125 AND 2oz per gallon. I wanted to illustrate this in the video and point this out, as it is a gripe I have with other products. They (some brands, in general) have been made aware of a dilution screw up and yet they keep the same labeling.

    im still using my onr, cant really finish it because im not doing rinseless every time, but i notice onr will gloss up the car after each wash, do these 3 bump up the gloss after washing? i know 2 of them are slick, but slickness doesnt mean glossy. can u share ur experience?

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Před 2 měsíci +2

      If I had to give an answer, I would say the Gyeon gave it a bit if gloss. I find that the reflection and deepened color mostly happens more with the SiO2 products for me. Honestly though, polishing does the most for gloss and beats any soap I've used.

    • @TheOutdoorDetailer
      @TheOutdoorDetailer  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I usually use dedicated interior cleaners to be honest. DIY detail says use their rinseless on interiors so I tested on a rubber floor mat, but nothing else. On interiors I go for the P&S system of products or the dedicated ones from ADS, Lithium, etc.

      I like the slickness of the Ech2o and especially the slow build up of protection, but I had adverse issues when I sprayed on a hot paint surface. (Left instant marking on the paint that looked like dark spots) I have not had that with the Gyeon or any of the others on my channel so far.

      Oh, get the Ecowash then if you can. It is a great product. In fact it is one of the best I have tested, though at their waterless wash dilution it leaves a film on glass. As a 20:1 drying aid, it is awesome. I can't comment on lasting protection though. A better option would be application of ceramic detailer in the drying process or after.
