I've seen this on IG and have to say it's super cute. 🎉
as a lazy sewist....should anyone be interested....I usually sew the shoulder seams, then hem/fold over the neck line, now add the sleeves, and only then close the side seams and the front centre seam. The V of the neck line becomes way easier to hem that way. Same for inserting the sleeves (it's called setting sleeves in flat I think).
Anyway random tip for anyone who is interested in short cuts. ✂️✂️✂️
Off to make my own version now. 👗
I just made this dress! I made mine sleeveless and I am OBSESSED! This might be one of the first clothing pieces that I want to make in multiple colors! I cannot wait to make more and add some pockets next go around!
I love how simply you teach sewing as always ❤️
The sleeves are gorgeous. I love the colours too within the material. 😀
OMG your new dress is so cute! I love the colours and the texture of the fabric too...what a masterpiece!
Incredible Maddy!!! Love this dress, so going to give this a go! I live in the UK so it's super cold at the moment. I'm thinking of making a block colour of this dress so I can pair with black tights, chunky boots and a cute coat. Thanks for making these videos, I recently made the flowy white long tiered dress this past summer and was in love with it! Keep up the great work 💗✨😊
This dress is so beautiful! And the way you explain everything gives me a bit more confidence to make something like this myself!!!
I LOVE this dress you made!! Really nice work!!
Love the new hair! Also love your videos always easy to follow along with!
Another great sewing DIY! Love it and love your new hair!
I love it! And I want to make it myself. The sleeves are so cute
Your videos are the absolute best! I was ready to throw in the towel on learning to sew but your videos are so amazing I was able to make so many of your DIYS! Thank you so much!!
That looks so good and comfortable 😍 would love to try it
I really enjoy watching you doing your sawing projects. It's even really sweet how you guide us along your project. Well done!
Love hearing that!! Makes me so happy bringing these to life, so it’s good to hear you enjoy following along 💕
So happy to see you with a new video and love your new hair. Love from the Caribbean.

Oh wow - so stunning! I have a festival this weekend - hopefully have some time to add this one to my wardrobe before the weekend!
Thank you again for such a great tutorial!! 🤍
It's so cute 💜 And very GANNI looking ✨
This is a very pretty dress and the colours are my favourite colours.😊
thanks for using the tunes! and lovely dress
I love this dress and your short hair!
I'll definitely add this to my list of makes! I think it would be cute with a flat felled seam too! Or just a nice French seam to finish it off
Agreeed! Now that I’ve nailed this one and won’t be chopping and changing the fit on my second one I can make the seams all beautiful along the way rather than cleaning them all up at the end ☺️
Another great video😊 loving the new hair cut, looking sooo 🥰 cute
👏🏼👏🏼 it’s absolutely gorgeous Maddy as per usual! And the fabric is just divine… what a find! ❤
Obsessed with the fabric too! I feel like it definitely was the hero of this dress ☺️
Your hair!!! 😍❤💖
Amazing dress. And great hair! That cut looks amazing on you. I’ve recently gone back short after having enough hair to donate and I just love how low maintenance it is. So much easier to wash and style!
Agreeed!! I’m loving the low maintenance change 🙌🏽
Had to like and comment before watching..cos you ALWAYS come correct!.. can't wait👍💃😁
Hahah yayy!! Thanks so much 😘😘😘
Another beautiful make! Feeling creatively inspired to jump on my sewing machine this weekend! Been putting it off because of lack of time and energy but can't hold it off anymore 😂 My body aches for a sewing-sesh! Thank you 🧡

Maddy this is so cute!! My wardrobe is slowly just becoming Essentials Club diys because I love your style!! 😂 I have already made your skirt, slip, tiered and wrap dresses and am keen to make this one too!
Hahaha I love that!! Sorry for making your to-sew list endless 🙈
I love the dress and thank you for the very helpful instruction. I live in Sweden and have bought a lot of sheets at the flea market to sew dresses of. I have a blue and white checked sheet to do a similar one like you have.
This dress is beautiful 😍 I'm 100% going to have to make one myself!
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! Literally just bought a sewing machine because of your first video I saw of yours 🥰🥰

I want to make one too!
Love it guuuuuurrrrrllllll
Bellisimo 😍😍👏👏👏
troppe smorfie !!!!!
Hey Maddie! I had a question on how you decide to cut your fabric? I recently took a few sewing classes and the instructor was super focused on grain and cross grain. I know you typically use second hand fabrics or more organic materials. Because of this are you not worried about cutting with the grain? Thanks!
melhores vídeos, acho tao descomplicado sua costura.
I was wondering why you’re making summer clothes when it’s freezing cold outside, I was like oh, well maybe she’s gonna wear it with tights or something..and then I realised you’re Australian haha
I love the dress, it would be awesome if you added pockets ❤❤
Lov it
🌹
Love this dress❤ could you do it without the Centre seam or would that affect the shape too much? What, totally trying this😊
Lo ame 🤍🤩
QQ- do you think a stiffer fabric, like brocade would go well with the shape of this dress? I think it would add nice volume to the sleeve/skirt but wanted your opinion!
could you add length to this? would the shape get weird with the center and back seams?
What sewing machine do you recommend?
Do you not finish your seams? Seems like it would unravel a lot in the wash
I mention at the end of the vid that I either zig zag stitch/overlock as I go or at the end of projects once I’ve trimmed off any excess seam allowance. This one I did at the end as I was continually taking in and adjusting seams ☺️
How many meter the cloth you take?
Que belo suas pecas❤
Couple of questions...are you learning to sew as you go? You're doing alright but a couple quick and easy techniques can really improve your final product. 1. Learning to align your print on your fabric to your pattern for mirror images. 2. Learning how to hide your seams...like in your sleeves so you don't have exposed seams that fray. 3. Learning how to measure your own body and making simple bodice patterns based off those numbers...that way you don't use t-shirts or cut fabric off of sleeves to create your desired look.
I love this dress...it's a bit short...wear shorts on a windy day
