Yeah it was off the hook around that area, Bulls and Sandbars mostly. Nice to have two free arms and no chum slick when you know that you're going to have issues on the way up. A tip would be not to ascend in the wake of your lift bagged fish. Come up on a slant so you and the lift bag have some distance between you. You buy that 35' yet?
@@danmacmahon3973 Yea we use them regularly on our coast due to the sharks. I usually carry 4-6 with rolled up bullet stringers and send up fish either one at a time or in small batches. Helps the boat keep track of the divers when we cover some ground with the current too... No sir I had to pass on the boat. Too much structural damage, the penetrations in the hull sides, I didn't know how far the rot of the coring had spread. Still on the hunt for a 35 donor hull if you know of any.
Thanks for posting these. A a relative newcomer to spearfishing & scuba these videos are very valuable educational tools
AS7, glad you're enjoying the videos and glad that it's helpful to less experienced spearos. Best, Dan
Another great video! Don't usually see you use a lift bag.
Good catch and you're right. There were lots of Bull Sharks in that area. Hence the use of the lift bags. Best, Dan
Learn so much by watching your videos. Would you call this swiss cheese at all or just a few pot holes?
C15, def wouldn't call it cheese, just a couple of small PH's. Usually pretty "Gagy" but not that dive. Best, Dan
First time I've seen you lift bag your fish. Been sharky?

Love to see what happens after you return to the boat.
Robert, I'm going to be doing deck footage on all future videos. I appreciate you watching, Best, Dan
