- Hey guys, so I recently bought a 2005 Bobcat S185. It was in pretty rough shape with rust and pitting all over it. I decided I wanted it to look better and did not want to have the rust further so I decided to give it a makeover. This is a Do It Yourself video and anyone can do this. We did not use a paint gun, just some rattle cans and basic garage tools. If you were like me wanting to freshen up your machine this is a great video for you. I will go through the steps you will encounter when taking on this project. Let me know if you guys have any questions about the project. Thanks again to everyone who tunes in and I hope this helps.

You did a nice job. I got a 2005 S185 also. Under 1,000 hours still. Paint is still decent. Bobcats age the best with the white paint and often look newer than they are. They don't fade except for the rear door.
Great job!, i have a 06 with 1,700 hrs and its scratched up like yours and im going to re paint it this spring once the snow has stopped ive already bought a few cans of paint and I'll get some more. I bought new rims and tires so they are good. Yours really looks good!.

So funny this video popped up, I’m currently repainting my tracked Deere 333G I got at auction, really scratched, but only has 2k hours, painted half the machine, painting the other half after work this week.
That’s funny this video came up I’m currently in the process on restoring / re painting my s185 bobcat as well

@@MrBison700 I bought the machine as a non running project so I rebuilt the motor , and works great ! Some rust but the hardest part of project I’ve had is finding the correct paint .
Hard to justify oem paint cost, when it cost more than the rebuild kit

I agree, I just bought a few cans of OEM Bobcat Orange and the rest I used Rust-Oleum, way cheaper.
I see the Kubota orange for $16 per can on Amazon. Do you think that orange is about same as bobcat orange?

Thank you! Yes I am planning on getting a seat made for the model that came from the factory with an enclosed cab.
what kind of paint and what were the colors called for this?
Hi, I used Bobcat Orange that I bought from their website because it is very hard to match. I used Rust-Oleum Tractor Farm Implement White and Rust Oleum Satin Black for the cab. I can post the links in the description right now.
