I wanted to read the Geoff Johns/Kurt Buseik Superman stuff but before that I wanted to read Infinite Crisis. That turned into reading Crisis on Infinite Earths, all the preludes to IF, IF itself, and 52 (plus the WWIII series). There’s always something to read and I love it

Thank You so much for taking the time! There are surprisingly very little guides on dc chronology on CZcams! I also appreciate very much that You have read all the issues and thus can provide a good oversight and give tips! I am now making a guide for myself what I want to read in dc, all the best runs and events in chronological order (Green Lantern, JLA, JSA, Teen Titans, Superman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Nightwing, Azrael etc., I've read part of the runs, but I have to catch up, as I stopped reading dc comics around 2001, but always been a HUGE fan) Started off now by reading the Jack Kirby New Gods of course! ;)
Marvel I'll read all Galactus & Silver Surfer storylines, also Doctor Strange, Infinity Saga Omnibus and the whole Modern Marvel Cosmic Saga Omnibusses: (Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest, Road To War Of Kings, War Of Kings, Realm Of Kings, really hyped for those :))
I remember reading the Green Lantern / Silver Surfer crossover (1996) back in the day and that just made me a huge fan of intergalactic superhero comics, I mainly read Superman, Batman and JLA at the time (1996-2001), also read through the whole Batman No Mans Land at the time, so awesome! However, Green Lantern has become my favourite superhero and I'm REALLY hyped about reading the whole Green Lantern Geoff Johns runs now, because everybody praises them (I've actually read a small part of it around 2013)!! :) I've read the Emerald Dawns 1+2 now and will also read through the whole Hal Jordan run! Thanks for the inspiration mate, otherwise I don't know, if I would have had the courage to navigate through that jungle! Will also be posting my chronology and runs soon here in the comment section! 🙏 Will be a HUGE comment though, hope that's okay! Just to share some inspiration! 😅😁

    You forgot:
    1. Bloodlines which came out the year after Eclipso: the Darkness Within
    2. Millennium Giants
    3. Sins of Youth - the Young Justice 5th week event
    4. Convergence - the DC carpfest event
Side note: Genesis is a Wonder Woman - New Gods event since John Byrne was writing both titles at that time. It featured the death of a prominent character as well.

I didn't know about Armageddon 2001 not having a collection as yet. I actually had several of these annuals and thought the Superman annuals the best. If I'm not mistaken Bryan Hitch drew one of them. Yeah, the ending hacked me off like a lot of people as, at the time, I was reading, and quite enjoying Hawk and Dove.

Thank You so much for taking the time! There are surprisingly very little guides on dc chronology on CZcams! I also appreciate very much that You have read all the issues and thus can provide a good oversight and give tips! I am now making a guide for myself what I want to read in dc, all the best runs and events in chronological order (Green Lantern, JLA, JSA, Teen Titans, Superman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Azrael, Nightwing etc., I've read part of the runs, but I have to catch up, as I stopped reading dc comics around 2001, but always been a HUGE fan) Started off now by reading the Jack Kirby New Gods of course!

Amazing. Quick question. Does blackest night omni cover most of green lantern omni vol 1, specially Sinestro corps war. Or need to get both the omni

Blackest Night is during volume 2. It covers mainly the GL stuff and the 8 issues series, not the minis or event crossover.

Does the 1992 story Panic in the Sky count? I know it was only in the Superman titles but it did feature a lot of other characters.

Now this is my jam. DC lore is my forté. I'm surprised they haven't done any collections of the annuals events like Armageddon 2001, Eclipso, Bloodlines and so on. I liked the themed annuals each year because the books had more pages and they had a connecting storyline. Some were way better than others. Since many annuals weren't written by the monthly writers you either got an interesting take or a boring interpretation. Some of the Elseworld annuals were pretty good and I really liked the Year One Annuals. Especially the Batman books. Always felt Final Night was the sequel to Zero Hour. Also liked how previous events played into the ongoing ones. Death of Superman was HUGE back in the day. And that event led me to Green Lantern and then that book went into big changes too. I had more time with Kyle as GL growing up. Then I collected the entire GL series after Crisis. In fact a bulk of my single issues are every big DC title post Crisis. Aside from maybe 100 issues I have every Bat-family, Superman, GL, GA, Flash, Justice leagues (Each one up to JLA) JSA, Starman, and Hitman issues post Crisis. They started getting their events cracking in the mid 00s. The Infinite Crisis Omni is on my list to get. Had to choose between it and Blackest Night Omnibus last buy I made. Night won my debate. Still on the fence on getting the 52 Omni. Countdown and Trinity were a little disappointing. Maybe because 52 was just that good. I had to drop buying single issue superhero comics once Rebirth kicked off. The 90s were my teen years. Just love that stuff. Been focused on non superhero books the last couple years. But that's the beauty of comics; there's something amazing in any genre you want. Just read the entire Walking Dead series. Finally got book 8 of my oversized editions that I hadn't read yet and just read the whole series beginning to end. It's easily one of the best comic series of this generation. It's some masterclass comic writing. I've rambled enough. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Keep it minty!

You are not rambling at all. I loved hearing about this. I would be in for a Bloodlines line of omnis.

@@NearMintCondition I know Bloodlines had some not so great characters. But I can't hate it. We did get Hitman from the whole thing. And that's one of the DC books that doesn't get enough love. And Zero Hour gave us Starman.
