Love Johnny Cash and you ladies bring this song life in such a unique way...you never disappoint...
terrialan3 ~ Yup. We've posted about the history of this song MANY times in these comments. To quote from one of our past posts "... It was written in 1948 by Stan Jones. *Our arrangement and video interpretation were inspired by the classic Johnny Cash version of 1979.*
The melody by Stan Jones is based on the song “When Johnny Comes Marching Home.” A number of versions were crossover hits on the pop charts in 1949. The ASCAP database lists the song as “Riders in the Sky” (title code: 480028324), but the title has been written as “Ghost Riders”, “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, and “A Cowboy Legend”. *More than 50 performers from Bing Crosby to Children of Bodom have recorded versions of the song.* According to Robby Krieger, it inspired the classic Doors song “Riders on the Storm.”
We always have to know our music and sources because we pay to legally license our cover versions with the original artist's publisher." (end quote)
There is only so much space to include info in the title area. Thank you for visiting!! Blessings, x2
Richard Baker ~ Thank you so much for the lovely comment and compliment! We were inspired by his version because we thought it suited our concept and instruments... and we love Johnny. ;) ;)
Cash was goog but the original
@@HarpTwins OK, thanks. I didn't read too deep into the comments. I've just seen so many videos that arbitrarily credit one of many perforners and not the songwriter(s) that I have started commenting without checking first. I will delete my original comment. (However, the title of the video still annoys me no end.)
@@HarpTwins bless you two for the heavenly experience. God bless.

gotta give y'all credit. y'all are beautiful without showing a lot of skin. y'all are classy and have my utmost respect, and y'all's music is top notch quality.
Camille and Kennerly, wow this is really cool! When I was a boy, my father was in a band called Western Union. I clearly remember being a child in a bar watching his band play this song. Red and white checkered table cloth, peanut shells on the floor, and a bottle of Heire's root beer. I may have been wearing a cowboy hat. Thank you for all the wonderful music!
With love and respect, Ken.
Kenneth Ruley ~ Aww. Great story! We think we'll split a root beer in your honor! Thank you for the sweet support across time and videos! Hugs, x2
What fun! How had I missed this on? Love the steers' reactions.
haha! Aww, thank you, x2. The film director would be us! We do everything ourselves. Our videos are 100% self-made samples of the music that we perform live. We arrange the music, find/scout the video locations, find or make our costumes, film with a small hand-held video camera on a tripod, record the sound in our living room, and edit the videos ourselves. We have no crew, production people, studio, special equipment or backtrack. And, no worries, your English is excellent !
They honor so many musicians and talent!!! I'm most excited to hear their originals!! Love that they listen and respond to as many of their fans as possible. Truly blessed to have them in the world.
Rita Torrez ~ Aww. Thank you so much! Here is a quick link to our *originals* playlist. tinyurl.com/y9h8939w The lyrics/words are in the information under each original video. Those songs and more are on our new album ICEBORN. The link is under every video. :) :) Hugs, x2
I never binge watch anything even my most favorite interests and now I'm binge watching the C&K angels play their harps in more and more creative ways. BTW: my youngest son when he was little this was his favorite tune. Now, he is a grown man and his Dad will send him this video. Very thankful for your genius.
Thank you so much for sharing us and for the sweet words! You are the berries, x2!
Captain Ron I am the exact same!! I have been drawn to their artistry for years and have recently been binge watching because it soothes my soul and helps me to de stress, relax, and for a moment all is peaceful in my world. 😇
How is this possible: I have cold chills all over my body, and my heart is on fire.
+Wamcelot ~ Aww. Thank you so much for the sweet comment and support! Sending love and blessings, x2
They've gotten more beautiful over time.
Like fine wine
I didn't realize that you have been doing this for 10 years...and I just found out about you this month! Well at least I'm here now.
You have a lot of catching up lol...but worth every second! The world needs them to strum peace, love and strength out to the downtrodden. Love them and their humble spirits.
Same I been bingeing them
We hope you find more to enjoy! We have a VERY surprising video coming before the end of the month that we hope will really enjoy!
Johnny Cash would Love this thank you
What a bunch of LUCKY Cows! I hope they enjoyed it.
this version of Ghost Riders in the sky is hauntingly beautiful
Thank you so much for finding us!! We hope that you will find more "musts" on our channel - if you are an open-minded adventurer. ;D ;D xoxo
I.
CANNOT.
BELIEVE IT!!
I don't care that this video is nine years old. You guys take on arrangements that others would not even dream of, let alone attempt. And you always come up with something incredible.
Love it!
I have no doubt whatsoever that Johnny Cash would love it and support you to the max!
As a kid I lived in Montana & 'Ghost Riders in the Sky' as always been my #1 favorite western song...later parents & I moved to Orange County CA..Been residing in East Mesa, about 2 miles west of Apache Junction AZ..
This is the best arrangement I have ever heard of this song. I love the bass part, the string bending and percussion effects used in this piece. Love the western themes. Grand performance!
The entire video was filmed in Illinois. The names of the locations are in the credits at the end of the video. Yes, there are longhorn cattle in Illinois as well as prairies. And, in case you are interested, the voices you hear at the beginning and end of the video are our voices.
Absolutely stunning, and the music ain't bad either. lol
OOohhh my God....This is so unbelieve, I´m so happy whit this song.
Two beautiful blonde twin harpists playing Ghost Riders is absolutely surreal. Seriously. Great job!
No words necessary.. The ultimate combination. .. So glad i discovered the HarpTwins 😊😊
"Amazing, totally very sharp, and incredible sound" "Very outstandingly done"
my Dad used to play this on an old acoustic guitar. It's a cherished memory. Thank you for sharing. ✌
So beautiful! Such a great song; wonderfully played on the harp!! 🥰
Howdy, x2! Thank you so much for the kind comment and encouragement on our second oldest video! We've posted a new completely self-made harp duet video every month for well over a decade! Welcome to our radical duet harp revolution!
Yes, it was written by Stan Jones and covered by more than 50 artists ranging from Bing Crosby to Children of Bodom. We were inspired by the Johnny Cash version. Thank you for watching, x2
haha! Thank you, x2! We will continue to cross styles, genres, and decades while taking our harps musically and literally where no harps have gone before! Please stay tuned - the surprises will keep coming! In the meantime, you might enjoy our Deep Purple, Scorpions, or Metallica.
Even animals love music! You probably notice lovely harps and strings in general attract animals. They seem to love it.
Orcas are really into bass flute.
Sableagle ~ We've got Sirens with harps for all sea creatures... and visiting man *Secrets of Sirens* czcams.com/video/RaS1GDEdEuo/video.html
We post a new video *every* month for our subscribers. We occasionally take commissions, but we are currently (mostly) focusing on our own original songs & projects like our new supernatural fantasy album & companion novel, *Twin Destinies* and our original Nordic fantasy album *Ice Born.* It is expensive to pay licensing to other artists for covering their songs. We are very grateful to be earning a wonderful audience for our original music! Thank you for visiting again. 💙💜
I love that you chose to highlight the lower range of your instruments for this. Great work, ladies.
What a unique and ethereal take on this classic! I consider Vaughan Monroe's to be the definitive version, and I love the Johnny Cash recording as well. But yours is perhaps the most haunting rendition. Lovely!
Thanks!
Michael Tuz ~ Wow! Thank you very much, x2!
These are two of the most beautiful ladies I've ever seen playing harp. Keep the videos coming.
+Tim Caldwell ~ Welcome back! We are happy to hear from you! Thank you for the sweet comment and compliment on one of our oldest videos. You might also enjoy our *Stairway to Heaven* and *Don't Stop Believing*. czcams.com/users/CamilleandKennerlyvideos Please listen with headphones.
77 of our 81 videos (including all of these) are self-made samples of music we arranged ourselves for performances - Only our 2 harp parts - but No backtrack, harp overlays, loops, studio, or crew. Blessings from Chicago, x2

Somehow missed this cover of yours til just now. Excellent job. The denim look was a nice change from your normal elegant outfits. Nice play on the ghost town atmosphere.
Tom Young ~ Aww. Thank you for the kind comment and compliment! We have posted a couple of new videos, too! ;) ;) x2
I discovered the Harp Twins, Camille and Kennerly, 2 nights ago quite by accident. I now have a Harp Twins playlist on my youtube channel. i have close to 40 of your videos on my harp Twins playlist that have been playing nonstop on shuffle. The music is SO soothing and ethereal, and the arrangements of all the songs are awesome. I'm sure that my Harp Twins playlist will be growing in numbers constantly. i will be introducing as many people as possible to your beautiful music.Thank You both for your beautiful gifts to the world!
Now that is a good old western tune from the 50's way to go there
Would have never thought I would have ever heard that song played on a harp. I must say I've never heard a harp with those notes before ever.. Good job ladies
+Patrick Burchett ~ Thank you for the lovely compliment and encouragement! We cherish your support across time and videos. We hope you enjoyed our *CARRY ON WAYWARD SON* czcams.com/video/2EV_N_l6hYU/video.html and brand new *WHITE WEDDING* czcams.com/video/2nj0pkE1cCQ/video.html Please listen with headphones. Blessings, x2
Everyone else comments on your beauty. You truly are easy to look at (lol) but the true beauty is in your work. I can only imagine how many hours you put into one video. Dedicated artists to the core.
Camille and Kennerly... and Johnny Cash... and bison....
So much win!
Johnny Cash would have been so pleased to listen you x33.
You are great, girls cc:
Love it as always. Ladies, I just hope this all doesn't t get old, frustrating, or discouraging for you. There is so much work involved in each of your performances. I hope you both and your Mom, etc. are also taking time off away from the harps and cameras, just to relax and be humans doing other things as well.
Don't let yourselves get burned out! Take your time, and enjoy your lives, such that the work you do with your excellent presentations, doesn't ever suffer, and such that quality is always superb! I think many would agree with me, that what you are doing is qood for our souls! You are connecting with so many fellow humans all over this Planet. who knows, maybe your performances are being appreciated by other beings in other Universes as well? I
sometimes have wondered if in fact, you both are not sent here to Earth from some other existence, to bless us all with something we do not even understand that you are giving to us? It's rather surreal.
I haven't commented on this one? Gads! The Harp twins, as usual, offer something extraordinary with this.
Now... I know that all things are possible. Sweet!
I love listening to you both so much...just went ahead and got both mentioned albums from iTunes....thank you both so much for making this world better
So amazing to see to young Ladies Prefect the playing the Old Harps something you don,t see to often. My hats is surely off to them.
I am a old cowboy and thinking I should have learned a harp he'll I'll still find but I am truly loving y'alls harps thank you for this
Oh my goodness! This is the most eerie version of the song I've ever heard. It captures the fear that that cowboy would have felt when he had that ghostly encounter. Amazing!!
Just amazing.
You two have opened a new door to music for myself. I can never look at the music I listen to the same . Thanks for opening my blind eyes . I don't want to sound like a stocker because I'm not. It's just so beautiful
For some reason I had not watched this video before. It is fast becoming one of my favorites! I like all the bass notes in it. I think The Man in Black would like this arrangement!
My dear grandfather was a cash fan...and so was I thanks 2 nin. Though grandfather will be gone soon.. God rest his soul in peace.. Grand, dad was a mighty soul....love him...........
Most impressed. I've only just seen the Metallica "One"cover now i can't stop watching, indeed very beautiful ladies and the music as well keep rockin!

One of my Dad's favorite songs! 'Thanks for the memories!' He also loved The Little Brown Church in the Wildwood-I'd love to hear a version from you.
Johnny Cash would be proud!
I got to say, Ghost Riders in the sky sounds like a great way to spend your time. I like the song too.
Never heard a version like this, I enjoyed it very much.
Yep, I'm seeing how the bass doesn't come through on the internet very well. I'm sold, I want to hear the concert harps live 😊 what a lucky herd of cattle!
Yes, dang CZcams compression. ;) ;) But, even the sound of the smaller electrics shines outside of CZcams - far more complex and rich.
awesome performance, thanks. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with next.
Thank you Camille and Kennerly for playing one of my all time favorite songs.I love listening to the harp and I love listening to this song. Thank you for combining the two.If you ever get tired of the cold Chicago winters you could swing by Arizona and warm up.
This was my favourite song as a boy, good job.. Again! 👍 I'd sit by the radio waiting to hear this play
James Berthelette ~ Thank you for the sweet compliment! We are grateful for your support, x2

Yay!
I know this is not your most current video, but I see people are still commenting on this most unusual rendition of a very old tune, I am glad you chose to use your concert grand harps for this one as they fit the tune and the surroundings and sound great. You young women really put your heart and soul into your art don`t you? Much Kudos I`ll keep watching if you just keep playing, John.
As always ladies, amazing and beautiful.
Même les bisons reste en admiration et pour ce qui concerne la prison c'est certaine pas vous qu'ont mettras en prison bravo pour toutes vos creations

I can feel this day slipping as I wander through some of the best musical videos I have ever watched and listened to.
Thank you again so much for sharing yourselves with the world. It has become a better place for sure with you two in it.

You have come a long way! Wow!
As perfect then as now.
Wow! I had no idea y'all been doing this for 10 years! It's amazing to see how much has changed from then to now, and yet how much the same you have remained. ❤
Menacing and beautiful; sends shivers down my spine! Great job!
I love your version of this great song..................
Outstanding!
I love your credits at the bottom of the credits---everything else by Camille and Kennerly.
Amazing, thank you
Thank you, and welcome to more of our radical duet harp revolution! wink x2 To our thinking GHOST RIDERS is a humorous cover for harp since the lyrics warn: "you better change your ways today.." Plus, Johnny Cash, with possibly the most recognized cover, was known for straddling heaven and hell. And speaking of covers, more than 50 well known artists ranging from Children of Bodom to Bing Crosby have covered it, so there is plenty of room for personal interpretations and tempo variations.
Love the setting and the song!
haha! Thank you so much! We used some special sound techniques in this video to fit the ominous Ghost Rider lyrics. For other unique sound techniques you might enjoy our Disturbia or It's My Life videos. Please use headphones or separate full size speakers to balance the sound - harp sounds do not register well on portable devices or laptops.
Just wow that's awesome
george burkhard ~ Thank you for the sweet comment on one of our very earliest videos! Disturbia was the other one!
I'm a country fan so I know this song well. You ladies nailed it to the wall!!!
This is such an awesome video!! I love this song and you both have done an excellent job with your arrangement. Totally perfect setting!👍 Having the bison, cows and horses made it that much more realistic. Lovely bass notes from your harps. And LOVE the galloping! What a cool place you found for your shoot. I think of the version with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson. This is such an awesome video/performance all the way around. Those statues are incredible. I really appreciate how beautifully you arranged and shot this video. It all added a lot to the mood and ambience of the song. My birdies loved it too, by the way.
My cable co recently added CZcams as a free "app", and every night when I put Peeps and Jamison to bed, I start playing whatever comes on first thru the tv! I've got to try it with my surround sound.. that will be amazing!😆
Anyhow, they've been really enjoying all they've seen/heard also. Your beautiful music helps so much with the stresses of the day!! Thank you sooo very much. This was such a wonderful experience to listen to and watch!! Lots of love and Big hugs x2!! 🙆😙💕😙💕👍👍🌹🌹🐂🐄🐴
You girls, are awesome.
Love all your stuff, girls - - - how about doing A Horse With No Name? Pretty please? (If you haven't already).
unbelievable! These girls are some real talent. i have to say as well that as an animal person who not only talks to but sings to my cats n any animal i can i am sooo happy for the cattle in the background. Including animals in our vocal/phonetic abilities is important and i really believe it makes a difference.
Very nice version, very well done. Those massive acoustic harps must be something else to cart around. They look and sound great though, thanks for the video!
+Kariakas ~ Thank *YOU* for the kind comment. Yes, these harps are a challenge, but we move them ourselves. We drive coast-to-coast for performances in our Honda minivan. You can get idea how we move our harps in this little snippet video. tinyurl.com/nuoxeul

Magnificent style of harp music. I enjoy all your playing with fabulous music. Happy Halloween. Huge Hugs. Two both of you .
Loved that pedal effect in the beginning!
Send this over to HBO. They should put both of you in "Westworld".
