This definitely makes it easier. Headaches make key recognition difficult, so this makes it easier when I have to work with a headache. AWESOME improvement.
That is "way cool"! Another thing to assist this old school DJ with the modern world of DJ'ing! I have been in an off season since December, and haven't been looking at the changes...
I like the flexibility to use this feature if needed! What' the trick to show the different color keys you have listed in your keys column? My keys column have all white characters.
I don't think you wanna use the key match function lots if at all. Learning the Camelot Wheel is way better imho as changing the original key of a song is really not the best option. Certain melodies are remembered within a certain key, especially commercial tunes. Changing the key might sound awkward to some listeners... Personally took the time to learn the wheel, lots of good videos out there, it's really not that complicated
My Keys are displayed with # for example A#m instead of the layout that i see in the video like 01A. How can i change it coz am used to the Camelot wheel system.
Atem, I have codings in the comment field that helps me use the filters to do just that. Feel free to steal my idea... virtualdj.com/forums/224457/General_Discussion/How_I_Organize_My_Large_Music_Library_in_Virtual_DJ__In_Case_You_Can_Benefit.html
I'm sorry but I disagree with this method, songs keys don't make a good mix. Mixing songs that just sound good together is the way to a good mix.....doesn't matter what key. This will limit good mixes if you only rely on keys. Been a DJ 29 years and stared in the 90's mixing LP's. Clubs, weddings, parties wherever I've done them without worries of keys. Tempo, reading the crowd and knowing your music matters more! My opinion from years experience,
@@virtualdjofficial it's not that I prefer, this video is showing only using keys that match....ones that don't match mix fine so this limits creativity.

This explains the check marks that I had next to the keys. I was wondering why it just appeared after I updated the software.

Did you figure out how to fix this problem?
Virtual DJ is legit. I don’t understand why the DJ community shits all over them. It makes no sense to me.
