    I so hope they complete that work. Whenever I see a ruin I always imagine it rebuilt and cared for and loved once again, so all power to their heels and good luck. They're doing good.

    Considering how destroyed the place was, they have done some amazing work restoring the location. Here's hoping it does finally get finished.
    Great work as always guys!

    Great video! Lovely location. I love this style of video; the professionalism and passion during the explore, and all the extra footage of you driving, camping, eating and swimming, showing your friendship and journey to get there. It's brilliant.

    Great explore, the building looks beautiful. These are nice videos to watch to wind down at night.
    When the builder came over did you say "I don't know you man." 😂

    SO weird to stumble onto this video. I was there a few months ago and security was pretty tight. Friends of mine died in the car accident there when I was a teenager. So surreal to see this.

    Really amazes me your appreciation of architecture and subjects such as heavy industry, it just shows how much you put into your presentation. I could watch your presentations all day (and night). Thanks for all you do. The camping side was great and the water so peaceful. When this building is finally restored it will grace and provide pleasure to all who visit it.

    You can really tell how much they have had to restore to get it to that point. But it just seems like there wasn't much thought on how the new would meet the old and it gives it a bit of tastelessness in it's approach. Perhaps it comes down to financing and time, but it seems they could have done a much better job on making the old meet the new in a more fitting way. Either way, nice job on the explore and I hope you got a better nights sleep the next evening. Keep them coming.

    It wouldn’t be the Republic of Ireland unless they built a load of terraced houses within spitting distance of such a beautiful and historic property. ROI has got some very strange planning laws.

    I stumbled across this place during a holiday to the area in summer 2015 and it very much captured my imagination. Easy to get in back then and wander around, and it started my interest in CZcams Urb-Ex channels (now mainly you guys + Proper People). Great to see a new video on Puxley with an update on its state as of last summer - thanks!

    Hi Alistar how are you doing mate? Great video as always really sad that this massive mansion is sitting abandoned for all these years the drone shots you have put into the video are amazing one day this mansion will be busy again and loved once more its going to be a lot of work for them to do it amazing shots of driving scenery very well edited very professional its ashame that the big construction project failed but this happens some times sadly anyways keep up the good work as always and I hope your having a good day so far Alistar👍

    @6:14 "although it opened briefly in 2007" are you sure about that? nothing you came across looked like it was actually finished. An Irish Examiner article on the property says that it never opened (although no guarantee they're correct).

    Surprised there is no evidence of it being opened/used in 2007, apparently there was a big New Years party at the manor. Would have thought there would be something left apart from one bed.

    Southern Ireland? Where is that supposed to be. I know you did not see some road sign saying "Welcome to Southern Ireland." You made the effort to visit the country. Just a little more effort to call it by its proper name would have been nice.
    Republic of Ireland and Ireland are most commonly used by those not wanting to look like "well whats missing in this video." It's the small things that enhance the production value, and such a script error more out of ignorance is unconscionable.
    I do enjoy your explorations, and please take this as constructive criticism that will only enhance future productions.

    • @Urbandoned
      @Urbandoned  Před rokem +1

      Apologies for the confusion. We were simply referring to the most southern part of the Republic of Ireland. Not differentiating Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

    • @canimangel1
      @canimangel1 Před rokem +3

      Think they meant southern Ireland. Same as you'd say southern Scotland or Southern Cornwall??? Wow what a rude comment. Don't take this to heart guys. In the meantime someone pass them a tampon....
