I just can't feel any sympathy for someone that does something that dumb. This must have been one of those "suckers" that P.T. Barnum was talking about. Eleven years ago, I bought a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, with 87,000 miles on it, for $7200 CASH, from a private seller. It now has 383,000 miles on it. I have put 297,000 miles on a $7200 car, with no serious problems. I've spent around $1000 on actual repair parts during that time. Being a mechanic I did my own labor. It still runs like new. I recently bought a like new 2007 model, again from a private seller and original owner, with only 36,000 miles on it, for $10,000 CASH. No fees, no taxes, no interest, no expensive insurance, and I fully expect it to outlast me, with no serious problems. And even if I'm wrong, which isn't likely, I'm only out $10,000, not $60,000+. And there is no way that Jeep is going to last 400,000+ miles.
My grandparents use to say "a fool and his money are soon parted" If you needed a damn jeep so bad there's plenty of Pre covid grand cherokees out there that are prolly decently reliable and affordable. No one told em to go out and blow 100k on this junk. I dunno why they'd give Jeep a dime after having to do a buy back.
ZF makes some great transmissions, the Demon had one . Mopar management mismanaged the company for years and got gready with profits from all the rear wheel drive cars and trucks without investing money into new products for the future.
I'm so glad my wife talked me out of getting the Wrangler I wanted. We are enjoying our Ford Mustang convertible instead and haven't had a single problem - yet.
Check your state lemon laws and keep a GOOD written evidence of your problems. If your new car trully is a lemon then get a good attorney and sue if they won't buy the vehicle back.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Even the tiniest amount of research reveals the quality issues with these overpriced junk wagons. Kudos to Chrysler for marketing garbage as gold.
Want to Talk about FALLING OUT OF THE STUPID TREE! What About The First Jeep made you think this is a one off, and YOU bought The Second One!?! When it acted LIKE THE FIRST ONE You Found Out that Your OWN POCKET HAD BEEN PICKED FOR 60K!!!! WOW WHAT A HAIRCUT….😮😮😮😮 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I bought my wife a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in 1996. MSRP was $30,000. That was the most expensive car I’d ever purchased. My wife loved it and drove it for 8 years. No maintenance issues. Those days are obviously gone now. My son bought a 2019 JL Wrangler. It literally spent more time at the dealers being repaired than it did in his garage. By more time I mean the dealer had it for 6 weeks, 8 weeks, and then 12 Weeks waiting on parts. He sold it and bought a Tacoma PU. I replaced my antique 1997 Wrangler TJ with a 2015 JK Freedom 3.6L engine. So far replaced a thermostat and gas cap. I originally was going to purchased a new JL but decided on a JK due to all the problems my son had with his JL. That JK was the first preowned vehicle I’ve purchased since 1971. It had an airbag recall. It took me 18 months and a call to Jeep Corporate for me to get an appointment with the local Jeep dealer to get the recall fixed. Stellantis is destroying the Jeep brand.
A Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a MASSIVE flashing sign that the person driving it and/or their spouse (who possibly bought it) is legitimately stupid. Those type of people and Mark Cuban are prime examples that you can make money without being smart.
The wire harnesses in those vehicles are too short. Has anyone notice all these car makers have cheap out on wiring? Look at where the ecu is located in all these new cars….. yep under the hood with all the heat, an ecu used to be inside the car normally on the passenger side kick panel away from heat and outside elements like rain water which it’s now exposed to by being under the hood because of the grill and the radiator fan, all just to save on a few feet of wiring. If you have ever ordered an ecu you will notice it come in a protective anti static bag just to go under a dusty ass heated and sometimes damp engine compartment like make it make sense.
"Reputable ____ dealer " hahahaha😂 ,no seriously, there aren't any. I work at one of the supposed good ones . They dont call em Stealerships for nothing.
If it's a lemon, look at your state's lemon law. If it is declared a lemon, the dealer isn't even involved. Jeep buys it back. They can't sell these things. They sell something like 5 a week country wide. Now, they're heavily discounted. $115k for a new one, MSRP? Ok. You can easily buy that for $80k brand new.
Every 4wd vehicle is essentially a disposable vehicle. They get used hard and they are not built like they were in 1963. I''ve driven, owned, and wrenched on a lot of MBs, CJs, and iterations of Wranglers. They have more features and far less durability with each passing generation. $100,000+ Jeeps are just a dumb idea.
ALL these people signed on the dotted line to buy the vehicle. Period, end of subject. The chickens have now come home to roost..... I bought my '23 Chrysler 300C SRT w/1495 mi. on it for $55K OTD from a PRIVATE small car dealer in PHX metro area, no mfg. dealer BS, no add-ons, just a straight and transparent deal, and I came in with $20K down in cash. Car performs as advertised and sure looks sharp! We'll see how well it holds up now, have a '14 Chrysler 300C as well that I bought in 2019 for $17.5K cash from a dealership in Temecula, CA, been a great car with no problems to speak of. One gets what they pay for.
I don’t know, but I had a different experience with Jeep bought a 20 Jeep Willys changed my mind about it year and a half later pretty much got what I paid for it traded in for a 22 Rubicon and same thing sold it late last year back to Chrysler paid 60 and they gave me 58 for it, maybe wranglers are the only thing that are worth actual money over there. Not sure about the 392 Jeep but the V6 and 4’s hold their value pretty good .
This is BS. That is what you call a crooked dealer. I own a 22 Wagoneer series 1. Base model basically. MSRP was 68,000. I have had dealers offer between 48-52k for it. Which sucks for sure considering it only has 9k miles. It's no a 50% loss though.
Stellantis' BIG problem is the growing belief that Stellantis is going out of business in America. If I have to choose between Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram which are both junk then I buy a Ford because Ford isn't going out of business.
Honda, Toyota, Subaru. Those are the ONLY brands with resale value worth mentioning. Europeans sink like a stone because their maintenance costs are absurd. Domestics are awful because the general perception is they fall apart. The worst models are the Limited Edition or Anniversary models. As far as Jeeps go, the only Jeep worth considering is the Wrangler. The rest are garbage.
That’s a Maserati type of depreciation. My buddy bought a clean low mileage accident free three year old maserati Quattro something or other for about the same as he could get a a new Toyota Camry.
I don’t know but i love my 2022 Jeep 392!🤷🏻 Dealer ordered it for me for 3% below dealer invoice so i felt like i got a decent deal although sticker price was totally overpriced. No regrets though.
Stellantis seem to be vulture capitalists. Despite that if it was not for Jeep Stellantis would have sold the company long ago. I see these new super expensive Wagoneers all the time. At first they look very well made. Get a bit closer and witness the body panel gaps big enough to swallow a small cat. I had a beautiful Carolina blue 1999 Wrangler. That thing was built like a fine off roading scalpel. I regret selling it. Now that Stellantis is on top Wranglers doubled in price.
Bought a 2015 LEAF in 2018 for 11k and have enjoyed zero maintenance and $200 YEARLY "fuel" bills all this time. Now even my PIAA Silicone wipers last 2-3 years and only have to really worry about tires = WINNING
Who told them to pay over 100k for a Jeep that’s their fault
They're not worth half of that.
You're telling me your rapidly depreciating asset rapidly depreciated, im shocked
Nothing from fiat dodge is worth 100k. Its a JUNK company

Nailed it 💯
Nailed it 💯
Yep, the HUNDRED GRAND WAGONEER strikes again !

Cars are not good investments Gold, silver, real estate, stocks etc are.Bye Dodge
Sales spiral down, consumers are walking away.
That is insane, literally. The definition of insanity is to repeat the same action more than once expecting a different outcome.
Amen….🙏🙏🙏🙏
First time, shame on Stellantis, second time, shame on the buyer.
This has been evolving for years. Stop doing business w/CDJR, especially Dodge & Jeep.
Chrysler sold it's soul to the Devil for the 1957 model year and has never fully recovered
No pity for them...what did they think?
Lmfao on par with Fisker 😂
Keep this content going TK. You’re gaining momentum and educating the masses. The dealership model is broken and antiquated.
Man I have been taking notes on all of this and I still can't keep up.
We have several Jeep scams in our city. They're called dealerships.
Check your state lemon laws and keep a GOOD written evidence of your problems. If your new car trully is a lemon then get a good attorney and sue if they won't buy the vehicle back.
Lol, try and trade in a new Tundra. 😂. It’s everywhere…!!
Buying a vehicle at a large markup is crazy! I don’t care about the supposed collector crap, it’s TOO MUCH.
There was never $100,000 worth of value in those vehicles in the first place.
Some people sign up for their own reaming.
Well done.
That’s a lot of miles. Miles are as good as dollars and less the miles more the money. 40k miles is the most I’ve heard of yet on a wagoneer.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Even the tiniest amount of research reveals the quality issues with these overpriced junk wagons. Kudos to Chrysler for marketing garbage as gold.
I try telling people this all the time. Neighbor of mine lost $60k on one. It was a 6.4 series III with only 18k miles.
Its a jeep, its not a luxury vehicle and no where worth near 100k, maybe 70
Dude, you and I both know it ain't even worth close to 70k!
It wasn't worth $115,000 on the dealer lot in the first place...
I bought my wife a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in 1996. MSRP was $30,000. That was the most expensive car I’d ever purchased. My wife loved it and drove it for 8 years. No maintenance issues. Those days are obviously gone now.

If I remember correctly your former cohort bought a Wagoner and lost his a-- on it when it started giving him problems after a few months
Will salesman Ben Dover at least bring Lou Briccant on the second go-round? Also, does Carvana even still exist?
A fool and their money will soon be parted.
Anybody that actually paid $115,000 for a Grand Waggoner are incredibly stupid
I am so glad I can not afford over priced things

Chrysler/dodge/jeep have been junk for forty years

Sorry to say, you screwed yourself by paying that much for a Jeep.

All the Mopar Utubers are all salty on how much money they lost.

The motor in that car has valves so complex that first service cost is crippling.
OooOoo hey.. but it's a Maserati though.. 😄
I'd take the Camry.

Kewl
Oops!!
Don’t pay over msrp ever
Sad to see it all happen

Buy used dodge vehicle built before 2018
Covid killed quality.
If I could get a nice jeep CJ with a dependable GM Vortec 4200, I would get one.
They wanted something big they should have bought a Suburban.
Bought a 2015 LEAF in 2018 for 11k and have enjoyed zero maintenance and $200 YEARLY "fuel" bills all this time. Now even my PIAA Silicone wipers last 2-3 years and only have to really worry about tires = WINNING
Tell us your broke without saying your broke..🤣😂
What's the range on that thing, 50 miles?
😅😂
