2009 Lexus ES 350 (2GR-GFE) with the third catalytic converter and resonator deleted with stock mufflers. Does not activate the check engine light. No performance gains. Purely for sound.
great sound!!! how did you solve the cat issue cause? I removed my cats and put straight pipes, now I am getting p0157 and p0158. I have put 90 degrees o2 sensor spacers on both downstream sensors but the code is still there. Any suggestion will be really helpful
Hello and thanks for the video I would like to know if when you remove the catalytic, what happens with the car, the engine sounds louder or stays the same, the truth is, I hate the noise, something else, the car will add more horsepower and torque and how many. You can see the difference and if the check engine is activated when the catalytic is removed. ?????
Hi, sorry or the late reply. Removing the rear catalytic converter will not activate a check engine light on this vehicle. As for the HP gains, I highly doubt there are any, it does not feel any faster. From the inside of the car, there is almost no difference in sound, only when you're standing directly behind the car or driving through a tunnel aggressively, you'll notice more sound. Hope that answers your question.
I literally have never thought about doing this to my ES until I watched a video of a Sienna with the 3.5 straight piped. Now I really want this 🤣
Very nice 👌
you need to present some revs...
came here to say this.
