    HP to MP materia with a caster, first strike and Chocokings cape from the races means you start with 2 atb bars and 6000 mp so you can use magnify Firaga instead of fira and it will blow up the whole screen with huge bombs, this is what I have been using anyways.

    A few things:
    1.) You can just do save/reload at the best spot instead of fast traveling around. It's very quick, navigating the map UI is not.
    2.) You're not using it, but there's an option in settings to Auto pick-up collectibles. I don't know if it's a post-game thing or if it was always there.
    3.) Dynamic is worth it. It doesn't affect the AP, but it multiplies the exp/gil significantly as it scales the enemies to you. You can drop down to Easy for slightly faster AP if you still need it once 70 - but you'll probably have everything you need maxed out before that.
    4.) MP Absorb linked to Ice, or Hp/MP swap. You never have to micro manage MP/rest using them.

      Auto gather on foot is a post-game feature. You can retry battle instead of save/load. It's faster to respawn mobs. The Turk facility in South Gongaga has a loop of 4 fights you can do for faster xp if you have enough magic to 1 shot them.

      or you could just do fiend intel or chadley sim missions and not even bother running around the open world or saving/reloading or managing your mp at all. (that said, backline chars wont get ap from combat sim so I prefer the fiend intel missions)

    I spent the last few hours testing out different farming methods and, while I think this is the best method if you want ap, exp, gil, and resources, I was personally only really interested in the AP. I dont care at all about gil or resources and Id actually rather not get much exp because Im still going through the story and I dont want to be too overleveled that I kill any challenge.
    So what I landed on in the end for the easiest, laziest, and fastest AP-focused grind was repeating the Grasslands Fiend Intel 5 Picky Eater challenge. It gives 8 AP per challenge, or 24 AP if youre in post-game (so thats up to 48 or 144 with Chocobo Armband + AP Up). All it takes is Aerith with Magnify Fire or Fira depending on your magic strength and Magnify level. If you can get away with using Fire like I did then you have infinite MP with MP Absorption, otherwise there's a nearby bench at Oliver's Farm if you need to use Fira. I made a quick video just to show it and to time it and it results in 16 AP per minute with very low effort. Its pretty self-explanatory but Ill put the video link down here anyway in case it helps anyone.

      The thing with the VR mission is that it ONLY gives AP to those in the fight, not the entire party. So that means you are missing out on levelling up so much more materia. It is good when you just want to level up some leftover materia quickly.

      @@akhafasu the absolute worst part about these games, is that they don't actually give you those good materia until the game is almost over. That really urks me. There are 4 or 5 materia that would have been nice to be able to win at TGS instead of at the extreme end of the game. I do know there are super bosses and all that after the game, but the enjoyment part is PROGRESSION while playing the actual story. I lose all ambition after I've completed the game. Makes no sense to me to work so hard to win the ultimate gear, from the very last fights.. It's basically useless then imho

    • @akhafasu
      @akhafasu  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@_CryptoNoob_ totally agree. If you’ve played FF9, then you’d remember there was a place in the first disc where you could go and fight the thunder dragons to level up early. It required a certain technique but when you did it, you levelled up early and it was so much fun. I miss that and the new FF games have completely sidelined such activities. You’re right, the best materia is always at the end. I recently completed all bosses under 4mins on hard mode. Most of those fight aren’t hard as they are frustrating. And I found some of the mini games terrible, not to mention some of them are forced on the player to progress. The game is great but really I wish these issues weren’t there. Reward the player for early quests or something

    • @_CryptoNoob_
      @_CryptoNoob_ Před 4 měsíci

      Similar to my post above. Yea, all the characters get a brand new weapon an hour before the game ends lol... That's just... Well it's dumb lol. Most casual players don't replay games or go for max statting or post game content. Most people finish the credits and move on to the next game. So yea, you get 6 new weapons in chapter 13 and 14,both chapters are very short in terms of gameplay, and verrrrrrrrrrry long I terms of cutscenes. So yea, you get to use these new weapons for maybe 6 or 8 random fights, then the end. Disappointing

    • @SpydersByte
      @SpydersByte Před 3 měsíci

      @@_CryptoNoob_ I agree that 6 weps in chapters 13 and 14 is a bit much but what do you want them to do, *not* reward you with weapons and materia once you got near the end of the game? That would suck even more! The original game did the same thing afterall, there were lots of materia you couldnt get until very near the end of the game and its not like there's a lack of materia in early or mid game, hell by like chpt 11 I was already getting tired of how much I needed to scroll to get through all my materia. Giving us the best stuff towards the end just makes sense, thats the reward for getting there. And there still are challenges to go if you want, there's hard mode and I would be amazed if we dont get some postgame DLC (hopefully DLCs) in the future.
      Personally Id be a lot more disappointed if there were no weapons or materia to get towards the end of the game than I am at the slight lack of usefulness in said weapons and materia, but thats just me.

    Rebirth hard mode doesn't require maxxed out materias and rebirth gives you some high level materias randomly in teh first playthrough already. I guess its cool for those who want to min max but its not really necessary beyond that not even brutal challenges need a lot of grinding to beat this time around. Also Genji gloves rock.

      If you're maxed out then you can do this: czcams.com/video/RbT5iW1yDdw/video.html
      Right now even with everything max, Jenova Emergent is giving me a pretty hard time

      Sure, it can be done but why hamstring yourself when it only takes like 15 minutes to go 50 to 70 and gives each toon like 100 sp per character and a bunch of stats?

    This is so unnecessary. Since you get a buff after beating the game.

      Do you even know how much content there is post game? There’s a lot to do. You can try the same method before you end the game and it’ll take you three times more time to max everything and level up your materia.

      @@akhafasu yes, I do. But by the time you finish the game you should be around 55 to 60, not much farming needed at that point. I have seen some videos that can progress from 40 to max in under an hour, but I think the majority of people searching for farming tips, are looking for tips that help them PROGRESS the game, not after the game. To each their own I guess

      @@_CryptoNoob_ I was level 50 by the time I finished the game and I tried maxing out. Tried combat simulations, but only three characters got AP, did Gongaga farming but it took too much time. As I progressed the game found more materia that needed to level up. So I did the smart move. Completed the game and got everything. Then in just over an hour, I maxed out all my materia and reached level 70. If I did it before, I wouldn’t have all my materia, it would’ve taken me 3x more time. Which method got all your characters to level 70 and maxed out all your materia before you finished the game?

      @@akhafasu those videos were post game as well. Maxing out 80 time materia for Gil, like 90k ap per hour and max level, all in under an hour. I understand the fundamentals of the post game boosts, but my theory is: why? Sure you kill super bosses and win some amazing stuff, that you don't need at that point. I guess that's my point here. Let's take ffx for example: you could do all of the Stat maxing prior to ending the game, I guess that's what I'm getting at. Some amazing op gear/materia post game that you don't need anymore because you've beat the bosses so there are no uses for the amazing rewards at that point

      @@akhafasu I'd just like to exphasize that I'm not k rocking your video, it IS a great method, but I just wish this was attainable before finishing the game. I've got 140ish hours into the game, I think 100 of them were trying to find my way through gongaga lol, jk

      There’s so much post game content. And if you need to beat the game of HARD mode then you need to do this. If however, you only want to finish the game and be done with it then that’s a whole different story
