This song and Another Life are very personal to Chris.
Eternally Yours is part 1 and is about the girl of his dreams, and Another Life is the second part, which is the loss of the same girl, due to him not being able to overcome his own demons and still being damaged by the emotional abuse from his relationship prior.
The Puppets Trilogy songs are about the girl who mentally and emotionally abused him over the course of 6 years. They’re heavy, VICIOUS tracks! And ‘The Ladder’ is technically “Puppets 4” ;) Check them all out when you get the chance, of course!

You should seriously react to Eternally Yours motion picture. Chris remade the song with the same lyrics but so much softer and beautiful. Chris's vocals are so different and breathtaking in that version and it features a singer named Crystal Joilena. They also remade Another Life with Kerli.
I love both versions of this song.. I spent awhile looking for a good acoustic version but couldn't find a good one. Then magically the motion picture version came out
I'm so cinflicted on this band 😆. I LOVE his voice and love the motion picture collection. But the screaming in other songs just puts me off.

Don't know if you noticed, but that last part was Chris's raw and unedited vocals. I remember the feeling when I heard this back in 2017. I loved this song so much that I made a basic lyric video for it. That way I could listen to it on repeat for an hour while also having fun with it. It's currently somewhere in my top 10, but it brings back great memories.
Great reaction Gibby, and I hope to see more MIW soon. Just in case you take recommendations from the comments, you could check out the Puppets trilogy. It's some of their heaviest work from 3 different albums. Personal favourite of the 3 is the first one, Puppets (the first snow). There's a good, appropriate MV for it :)

Eternally Yours is a beautiful romantic song that Chris and the guys wrote I will have it playing at my wedding. But yes the song is about forgiveness for all your past sins and saying you will do anything and everything to be with your significant other.
