- In 2002, Sarah Geronimo competed in the Star for a Night competition, hosted by Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez. STAR FOR A NIGHT pioneered the primetime talent search in the country. At the age of fourteen, Geronimo won the competition, which included a ₱1 million cash prize and a managerial contract to Vicente Del Rosario, owner of Viva Artists Agency. She was given the title of Pop Star Princess.
