remembered a Frankie story, he had a gig in Marietta square with my keyboard playing roomate Jimmie Whiddon, Frankie and his wife had to attend her office Christmas party, so the band had already started playing, they are a couple few songs into set doing an Allman Brothers piece, in strolls Frankie, lays his case down, whips out the orange strat, drops the tunning in three licks, pulls slide out pf pocket and proceeds to nail the needed part, jumps up on some peoples table, pitcher on table falls over dumps beer on floor, not sure but think they were already friends of his, he just was a mind bending fabulous performer

I've been playing bass now for 10+ years now (I've lost count of "exacts" I'm a lefty but I play a righty bass (flipped) and mainly because, to this day, I have no idea how anyone finds the "design" of bass comfortable (like out of all these years and how many people play bass, not many seem to complain or have an issue) because I've never understood why most basses use the strap on the "longer" part of the bass. Not only (imo) does it just idk, look stupid, it feels very awkward and uncomfortable.
Some basses (like the Jackson Kelly as an example) will put the strap on the lower end and make the longer end the "bottom" (where the strap is not) and idk, IMHO. That "feels" so much better/natural.
I literally ONLY play flipped righty because I can't stand how the straps (for the majority of basses) are always on the long ends.
It's like the people who "invented" instruments were f'en stupid. N all these years past and no one has cared to "change" it.
Like a saxophone. No "real" reason why (again, out of ALL these years if it's existence) why it can't be "flipped" for a lefty. Yet, unless u getting some pricey custom made piece..there is just no such thing as a "lefty" sax.
Idk. Just me. But idk how the hell u people do it. N how "professionals" do it either.
The "longer" side of the bass should always be in the bottom (IMHO) just looks better and feels better but aye. To each their own. If people told me I was playing wrong I'd just be like 🖕 so whatever just makes u feel comfortable and u can play then aye whatever works.idk I just always found it weird

Directly in motu 4 pre but I used plug-ins (mainly Overloud Mark Studio and Positive Grid Bias) 🎶
