I would recommend you to spend some more time at famous places rather moving places in public transport. US is not at all known for trains. People just drive or fly from one place too another. India is always the best and fun to travel than US when it comes to public transport. Love to Indian railways ❤

US isn't Famous in Railway
Unlike EU or Japan
Cause in America people prefer there car and or air transport and railways is expensive than air ticket.
It is, it was known for having the best trolley, subway, steam, and freight trains. Indian Railways steam and diesel locomotives came from the US.
I agree. I am living in USA since 1977. Unlike is India and Europe , USA is not popular for passenger railway journeys. Passenger Railway looses millions or billions of government dollars every year.
@kaamin5555 the US was known for the best railway system, still is with Frieght. Yes, Amtrak out of Northeast is basically non-existent and mostly commuter trains. Although for us in Northeast we have the best passenger system and connectivity.

America prefer freight trains over commercial hence they are in that condition unlike Indian Railways , Americans prefer flight or road rather than rail to travel , also I would suggest not to take that long 20/25 hrs amtrak journey as in the journey it might become 28/30 hrs worst 35 hrs of journey

My goodness, your editing needs help. The Acela does go 150 mph = 240kmh. It does it in New Jersey. For Acela, you missed the Business Class Lounge, which is included in the ticket. You didn't sit in your seat. You went to the compact seat. Please do better.
@yaniyani62 he was there half an hour before the train departure. Train, not airport. The lounge is exclusive to Acela passengers, and they get informed and escorted to their train.
@yaniyani62 excuses..Acela Lounge is announced, and it is marked at more than 14 boards. He would have enjoyed a full hot meal. Also, there is a movie theater and a big cafeteria with two Indian restaurants. Reading and listening helps.

You are mistaken . Amtrak's maximum speed is 150 Miles per Hr . That means 241 kms per hr .
I am a US resident and once I traveled in this train .
Most of American people choose airline service for long distance travels . It can save time .
Eg. New York to Florida by train is a 24 Hr trip oneway and it will cost you $300 for return ticket . But it's
3 Hr trip oneway by a flight , you will get a return ticker for $300 ....

Dolesh bhai, you are correct in your observation that our train service is not comparable to India, let alone Europe and China. We just haven't invested much in train infrastructure. Mostly people prefer travelling by air or in their own car. Road network throughout the country is excellent and travelling in your own car is both highly affordable and gives you a whole lot of freedom. Acela express runs on the same tracks as the other regional and local trains do. So there is a whole lot of competition for track access by them, which contributes to slowing down of the "high speed" rail. I haven't travelled by Amtrak trains ever in my close to 50 years in USA. Hope to travel on California Zypher (between Chicago and California) and Rocky Mountain Express in my soon to be planned retirement. They are a whole different class and bit more luxurious with private rooms to sleep, including breakfast, lunch and dinner and travelling through some of the most beautiful landscapes in North America. These are multi day travels. Hope you can travel on Zypher.
Quite surprised that you haven't traveled by Amtrak yet. In my 30+ years here, I have traveled quite a few times between Washington D.C., and New York City both in the Acela and other Amtrak regional trains. I too plan to do the long distance journeys you have mentioned. by the way, it is the California Zephyr and not Zypher.
