Pretty disingenuous of you to bring up fernandes' goal against city (rashford offside) and the win against Arsenal (completely outplayed and handed points by the ref). Shame you aren't as honest and impartial when man utd get spanked.
7-0 will be remembered for years people will forget Carabao Cup after a year
I know a certain team that keeps bragging about having won the most EFL League Cups, even when beaten by a team almost facing relegation 7-2 last season( all of which most people no longer remember)
@@nicholasopifeni9738 Err first of all that 7-2 was lucky. 3 deflections and Adrian in goal. Most league cups is a record so obviously that's well known. We beat our biggest rivals 7-0 pal when you were at your best in 10 years. No comparison

Arteta won’t manage Real Madrid. Arteta said Arsenal are the Barcelona of the PL and it’s one of the reasons he was so happy to join us and loves the club. He came through at Barcelona and for that I don’t think he’d go there.
He's also been a club captain with us too, Arteta loves Arsenal. The only team I could see potentially getting him is Barca and he would have to need a reason to go.
I don’t get that analogy Barcelona win titles!
Arteta to RM is a massive compliment. Not at all worried for two reasons; 1. He has a job to complete at Arsenal that has only just begun in real terms; 2. It will have zero psychological impact on Arteta or the team. The only people that will be affected here, are Arsenal fans who don't believe in the journey...✌️

If you win titles once a 100 years, you take the 7-0 loss and a title 100% of the time....But for teams who should be winning titles multible times a decade a 7-0 loss means more.. You still get banter from your mates from that time his team battered yours, but non of you talk abouth a specific year you won a title (If your team has won multible in the current decade).
Arteta's too intelligent to leave Arsenal for RM where club and fans expect instant results and disdain any time for processes to eventuate. At Arsenal, he has the trust, support and respect of the Board, managers, players and fans. What Arteta has built with Arsenal in such a short time is remarkable. He definitely has longevity and security at Arsenal, which are key factors for anyone staying in a job.

I've been watching football for over 30 years and remember this trophy as the rumbelows Cup. It was mainly contested by the smaller clubs but the romance died for me when tv money started to slowly erode the game from grass roots up. Nah! Trophies all day long. We can beat spurs when ever 😁
On Bhavs anger at the Carabo Cup Final, i don't think it's about the loss or the fact that the cup matters or not (as an Arsenal fan, every trophy counts) it's more the loss in a game and the way Arsenal played or rather the way we lost the game - that hurts. No fan wants to see their club lose. So it's the loss that hurts. Europa League final a few years ago under Emery...part of you knows if we won Emery would be set for a few more years and in hindsight Mikel would never be Arsenal manager, but the bottom line is a fan wants to see their club win.
Amazing work on the channel Terry! Great unbiased views and analysis, that's what football fans want. So congrats on the success and future success of the channel!
If the trophy is anything other than a carabao cup ill take the trophy but for a tinpot cup no way i am putting up with a historic loss against my arch nemesis☠️☠️
cup is a cup ... trophy is a trophy and must be valued ... you may outscore your rivals even 20-0 but at the end the trophy matters alot
Cup is cup your right 7.0 win then lose to Bournemouth 1.0
He ain't going to Madrid,he was linked with barca at some point either earlier this season or late last & I'd believe the barca link more than real. He's never had pace so maybe he plays in to his late 30s,like luca toni or Sheringham who played in to his 40s
Caraboa cup status has magically elevated overnight
Bruno starts wide for the same reason gavi or Pedri start wide , to form a boxed midfield with rashford attacking the space either right left or middle and weghoust the focal point
Hope this helps
Beating a rival 7-0 will never hold as much weight as any trophy. Players don’t train as hard as they do to become footballers to win games 7-0 they do it to win trophies.
Man United do not have plaque in the trophy room for the 8-2 win over Arsenal.

Look, I mostly share the same sentiment with you Terry, however, Bhavs did not say the trophy is meaningless, it just holds less value that the other trophies (even you resounded this point), so pulling up an example of Bhavs after the 2018 final where we lost 3-0 showing his frustration about THE PERFORMANCE in a CUP FINAL is not clear evidence of contradiction as you paint it. In isolation, even for a cup that holds LESS VALUE, anyone would be annoyed that they lost (especially the manner in which they lost 3-0). Once you pit that situation against losing 7-0 to your fiercest rivals, then it changes everything for some people. It is from this point onward that I agree with you Terry. Just had to point out the flaw in your rebuttal.

Bhavs was 12 in that interview 😂
Carabao is not meaningless but it’s the smallest of the domestic trophies (and that’s not a dig at Man Utd). Of course any club would rather want it rather than finish the season trophyless. But personally if it was between this and having a 7-0 (or more) win against our rivals I’d pick the latter as it’ll be more historic.
So Man United beating Arsenal 8-2 is Bigger than our Carabao Cups and Eruopa Leagues?

"It's still silverware" it's on par with Harry Kane's Audi cup trophy though
Sounds like a new contract is coming for Arteta.
Value is in the trophy, of course. Keep the trophy.
Beating a fierce rival, even a spanking like 7-0, is only one game; winning the trophy means you beat _EVERYONE._
Trophy or massive win argument depends a lot on how often your team wins trophies. I'd say for most teams the trophy would be more meaningful.
For the fans though smashing their most hated rivals for 7 - 0 would bring me 10x more joy than wining the league cup.
@@GoonerGamer876 that's crazy winning one game 7.0 then loosing 1.0 week after your 😊
I’m an Arsenal fan and I’d never swap silverware for banter.
I hear a lot of rivals saying that the 7-0 will stick, and they are absolutely right amongst rivals it definitely will. But, if Man utd become successful and start competing for the biggest trophies season in and season out, most if not all man utd fans will actually care about the 7-0 in the long run. So what if rivals keep bantering and talking about it for years, I don't care. Let them. Arsenal has been amazing this season, and it looks like they could win the title, I don't see any of them going "but, we lost 8-2."
If it was Barcelona I could imagine that there might be some truth to it.
A 7-0 battering will be brought up again and again, but a League cup win is soon forgotten. You now have to face the smugness of scousers forever or at least until you can batter them by the same scoreline; that ain't gonna happen anytime soon.
That is not the question, would you rather the cup or this win over rivals, not would you rather the Cup or a defeat.
It's not so much "Would you give up a minor cup trophy to beat your rivals 7-0" as it is "Would you give up a minor cup trophy to NOT get beaten 7-0 to your rivals"
Would def take a 7-0 victory over spurs over the energy drink cup any day of the week. That victory would be talked about for decades. Nobody remembers this trophy.
I also think you missed the point with Bhavss. His reaction after the final is understandable. We we’re in the pits and if we we’re in third at the time looking good, I think his reaction would’ve been different. He was more upset at the club’s performances and state than he was at losing the cup final. Like he said, he expected to lose but it’s the manner in which we lost he didn’t like.
I'd drop the Carabao cup too thrash spurs 7 zip anyday. Problem with referring to Bhav's video here, is that in that season we wouldn't have been in the running for anything else. So the EFL cup would carry more importance. That's obviously not the case nowadays.
I think Kane is a good buy, but the issue is not his age for me, it's the price tag of 100M , I would rather man united spend such money on Victor osimeh, or even a Dusan vlahovic. I believe long term and short them they will be a better fit.
I've lit a candle for ManUtd out of respect 🤣
On the question: I think it depends on the stature of your club historically, and the context of your clubs current performances. A team like Spurs, it would be asinine for them to reject a trophy over battering Arsenal 7-0, but for any of the top teams with a wide trophy cabinet, for a smaller cup like carabao, even though still valuable will be a pitted against the folklore for ages to come with losing to their deepest and fiercest rivals, in this case, I could understand why people would reject the trophy cause they know they can win more in future. Irrespective, I personally agree with you. I couldn't care less about a 7-0 loss if it meant I went on t win things in that season (especially if it meant i deny my rival a chance to secure silverware along the way).

The reason United are bigger is because of trophies.
@@TheFootballTerrace the only reason united has those trophies is the pgmol
@@TheFootballTerrace Yes, that's obvious. Like I said, I agree with you. However to some who may have (be it baseless or not) belief that they may win more in future, in this ONE instance may be willing to let go of one (lesser value) trophy for a devastating win over their deep seated rivals.
In utd v liverpool, since you lot almost have the same amount of trophies, I can see why the trophies are more important but if you said arsenal v tottenham, we can sacrifice one lesser value trophy for battering them since we are so far ahead, while they'll take the trophy.
at the end of the day, I agree with you but I can see reason with the other side as well.
beating your rivals 7-0 is more memorable than winning the Carabao Cup.

I agree he’s gotta not be static in the same place every time or he will be manned by two to three this is a tactic to alleviate man marking strategy from the opposition cos what is their man that’s been told to stay on you and you go way out of position he can’t do that cos he will mess up learn football Tezza is right.
Lose Arteta were back to top 4-6 club. Want him here for a decade plus, we're just starting to reap rewards of patience. On the cup or 7-0, I'll take a 7-0 loss in pl to a rival for a decade straight if I get a trophy for a decade straight as well. I'll take banter in exchange for trophy any day of the week
Re Madrid wanting Arteta, I doubt this atm because Arteta has yet to prove himself in European competition, we all know the champions league and instant success is the hallmark of Real, plus managing superstar egos is not something you would associate with Arteta. Maybe in the future when he has proven himself with trophies
Harry Kane isn’t too old- his game doesn’t rely on pace or beating men in space - he will be productive to his mid- 30s and a good side will allow him to patrol the box and finish in tight spaces.
I would 1000% trade one of Arsenal's 16 FA cups for a modern 7 Nil against United. That is a 1880-1930 scoreline. Unforgettable!
If United get Osimhen then they will be fighting for titles just as much as having Kane but it will for years to come.. not just the next 2-3 years with an old striker
I don't think the old video of Bhavs being upset proves anything. I also think you're putting words in his mouth. He never said that trophie is meaningless.
He actually said a trophy is a trophy. It's just not as important as the other. Fact.
Anyway, back to my point. I was upset when we lost that final a few years ago. But I think if we lost to Spurs 7-0... I'll probably be more upset. But only because Spurs is a joke team.
Liverpool is actually a decent team. They are a better opponent than Spurs. So, for Man Utd, losing by that scoreline isn't as bad as if the opposition was Spurs.
Sesko reminds me of a younger Benzema. Woupd be the better option for this squad.

Arsenal fan here. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware the Carabao cup is at the bottom of the list when it comes to domestic trophies, but it's still a trophy. I don't know what the point of downplaying it is from Bhavs unless it's to wind people up.
@Terry the only reason bhavs is talking about the caraboa cup and it being a small trophy is because Arsenal fans were and are truly fearful of man united. Now everyone will laugh at that statement now because you got smashed 7-0 but before that defeat no one scored as many goals as Man United this year (2023) and I think they are tied with city for the most points accumulated in the premier league in 2023 AND on top of that they won a trophy. Ow why are Arsenal rattles by United when we are 1st and they are 3rd. I will tell you why. This is because apart from playing beautiful football and transitioning with ease from defence into attack, Arsenal do not make scoring as easy as United and we sometimes struggle to score even with all that dominance. Man United can string two passes together and have the ball in the back of the opponents net and that is what Arsenal fans want, for us to play great football but make scoring as easy as United does. I think it's poor as an Arsenal fan, including egal and Bhavs, to give stick to anyone this year other than those who are still disrespecting Arsenal. I hope you are doing well with your health Terry keep up the great work Man United are definitely back and are going to bounce back I believe it and I know everyone else does to. Please note I am an Arsenal fan so I have no reason to back United I am just saying it as I see it.
Hes Barcelona through and through, it would be like Ian Wright managing Spurs. Total non-story.
Trophy beats a 7-0. But a 7-0 is the best thing apart from a trophy…Objectively speaking. Personally as a Lpool fan though honestly I remember the 5-0 at Old Trafford last season with more joy than both domestic cups we won…
I hear that
30 isn’t that old, compared to Messi and Ronaldo. I think he would be an awesome addition! You can see him transitioning into a role that is more resonant with that of Bruno, and I think he will be an awesome addition!!
Your comment is so nice you said it twice 😂
With Bruno, there's no smoke without fire
I honestly thought Lingard and Ronaldo were the leaks last year, beginning to think its Gary Neville now. Guy has zero scruples
I love Bhavss, but I disagree with him on this. 7-0 against your biggest rival is fantastic - in the moment. Maybe it gives you a high for a week. Maybe a month or 2 later you can look back on it and smile. But silverware is silverware. We all know the Carabao Cup is like winning the European Conference League. Would you rather win it or qualify for the Champions League? No contest. But it does matter. Ask a Spurs fan. If it didn't matter to Bhavss, then why was he even at Wembley at all?
Objectively, no one would exchange a cup to reverse a thrashing of their rivals. Unless that rival is Tottenham.
If you lost to Spurs 7-0, no matter who you are, you'll never live it down. United, Liverpool, City... they won't let you forget it. And what's worse? You didn't lose to a juggernaut super team with trophies. You lost to Spurs.
Although Gary Neville is not my favourite Commentator. Why would he make up the Bruno Wants Off statement . His Team is 3rd not cellar dwellers. He played in the Fergie years Man Utd GOLDEN YEARS .The only agenda I can think of is that he's getting concerned that Man Utds progress threatens his Ego. Another possibility is that he holds Bruno accountable for a very below par performance and Bruno is his Scape Goat . Very confusing .
oh cmon no one wants to lose a game or a cup final bhavs was dissapointed to the lose the game and on top of that we were on a downward spiral which made us all mad on top of being mad because of losing . Carabao cup is still a trophy even if not that significant but a 7-0 win against your biggest rivals is bigger . Lets be honest people will remember liverpool winning 7-0 more than united wining the carabao cup
There is objectively zero credibility or chance of Arteta moving to Madrid. The guy is a La Masia graduate and a boyhood Barça fan. The guy would never seriously humour the move, whatever the ‘interest’ from their end is.
signing an aging star striker for a large sum of money is classical boardroom incompetence. even if kane were 28 it would be dubious, although he were a late bloomer
I’m an Arsenal fan, I agree with Terry 100% about kane he is an absolute baller…
As for bhavs question… I’d take a trophy and a 7-0 beating from Spurs over no trophy and beating spurs
Making controversial negative points was what made AFTV famous in the first place. It sort of became the model for most of the famous channels now. Just a bad day at the office for United but though a loss was coming not a 7-0 though
Trophy matters, Kane may be ,not so sure, I am totally agree with Mark to back our Captain
Cup is a cup. At the end of the season you will see what you have achieved not how many you have scored. Carabao cup is important as is any other cup.
The Bruno Fernandez story is sooo refinance of Granit Xhaka, they forget tht this is a team game n its okay to have one player have a bad game but when more than one player suffers the whole team does, n the whole squad suffered but they take the player frustration as him whining or not wanting to play.
Problem with Bruno was not his bad performance, but his pathetic antiques on pitch, constantly complaining to REF trying to buy fouls/penalties. Some of the things he does is down right cheating. How he gets away with it we don't know. And to top it off he does this as a CAPTAIN.
Man , the PR pull that Madrid has is entertaining for them eye balls and nothing more than that . People think Arteta will leave Arsenal ? 💀I can see a downfall incoming. I don't see Real Madrid being dominant in the next one decade. The quality to replace players like Modric, Kroos , Benzema is unreal.. such quality is nurtured and cannot be bought. Example - The transfer of Eden Hazard. You put a player in a new environment he/she are gonna anticipate their share of new challenges.
I respect your analysis and unbiased takes but saying just pretty much adding Kane make united favourites next year is pretty ridiculous.
Real Madrid buys players like Pierre Aubameyang and Mikel Arteta coaches players like Bukayo Saka. Enough said.
Personally I think arteta destined for Barca eventually
He’s a Barcelona product. He would never coach Real Madrid. Not a chance.
Let’s be honest Mikel has taken 3 years to get this squad anywhere near how he’d like it. Don’t think he’d entertain moving on at this moment in time. Not to mention the future for Spanish football looks some what ropey financially
Bhavs statement bothered you to the point of looking up a 5 year old video to "expose" him. It's not that deep.

The news about Real Madrid is designed to destabilize our team and cause a distraction. But Arteta will not be fooled. You don't get this far without the ability to stay focussed. You don't get this far having achieved only a modicum of success in the grand scheme of things, then to get too big for your breeches.
I know our coach wants to build a dynasty, not just to coach big teams and after earning big bucks, to desert them and leave with the bag, which I saw happen a few years ago, at the top of the League.

Win a cup by miles 😂😂😂 That means beating your rivals really will be living up to the "thats your cup final" bants
That is a great shout
You are spot on the these "fans" who go on hard when team loses a games .it all started from AFTV and now people without contents what to create negative content by abusing your own players just for views..for me such people are not fans..fans support their team thick and thin and not go against own team esp when they are down..these fools would have slated Alex Ferguson if social media was there after 6-1 trashing from city at old Trafford .you are spot on in yesterdays discussion, fans move on.. like how arsenal moved on from 6-1 in 2000 at old Trafford to win 2 premier league
I remembered when Pochettino was linked to Real Madrid. He ended up staying at Spurs. Now look at him. Arteta would be an idiot if he stays at Arsenal over joining Real Madrid. Arsenal will not continue to spend like City, Chelsea, United and eventually Newcastle. He could win many leagues and CLs at Real Madrid. Arsenal haven't won a CL in their history.

No brainer. Twenty years from now (heck 50 years on), everyone will be talking about the 7:0 drubbing. Nobody will remember the Carabao Cup win this time next year.
Arteta wouldn’t go to Real Madrid, he’d only go to Barcelona and that would only happen after he’s finished his work at Arsenal. He’s going nowhere for a good while yet.
