One for the best small portable speaker cab sims I have ever used. The versatility and the ability to tweak to you liking is amazing. Pick one up you wont regret it. This nano pedal board, I am going to use for travel gigs etc where I might have to get on a plane or where there might not be enough room. I have also tried this pedal into a PA and it sounded great for live. - Hudba

Folks pay lots to have their guitars relic’d. Adds character/history. Great video!
Great tutorial brother. You answered a lot of questions for me. Great playing also. The magic tone begins in the hands and you got it.
great video Rich and awesome playing!
Great stuff man .Have order one to .
Good demo and hearty playing
Thanks!
Great playing as ever Rich, and excellent demo. Wasn’t considering this until I saw your run through. Damn it you’re not helping my GAS. 😉. Take care.
Thanks! Glad I could help.
The British has cab modeling built in that cannot be turned off.
Fantastic
Excellent overview of this pedal. When you load your own IR's, what happens to the onboard IR's they displace? If you want to go back to the factory IR's, how do you reset the Radar to get the factory loaded IR's back?
Not sure, I've only used the stock ir's.
Really tasty playing at the end, Rich. I have the same guitar... erm... minus the road wear (I guess I've now tempted fate and it'll be dropped some time soon).
Haha, thanks Kevin!
Great!!! Could you tell me wich studio monitor is best to use with the mooer radar at a bedroom just to enjoy the sound (no mixing needed), and thougths about hiss levels. Thank you very much!
I like my yamaha hs-5s.
I also have a Joyo pedal but the American Sound with inbuilt cab emulation. Do you think it can works well together with the radar or maybe it will sound muddy because there are two different cab sim at once.
No I think with the EQ on the pedal you can get it sounding good.
Brother! Yeah, that's rough, but still beautiful and sounds great. You could even sand and relic it a bit if desired. I have never done it, but just an idea. Or get wild and strip the body, refinish it and fill, and boom! Lol 🤘🏻
I'll leave as is. I'd screw it up...
@@RichBischoff It's a story 🤘
Hi, great review, can I ask you if you have any problems with latency? I would like to build a pedal board similar to yours
I haven't had any latency problems.
how you deal with the buzz sound from the gain units, the preamp, the overdrive?
Great Demo Rich. When you tried it live, did you go straight from your pedalboard to the PA?
Yes, I did it was for a smaller gig, so the PA wasn't to loud but still sounded great.
Sir, quick question: Did you use a D.I.? Can you use this wothout it? If yes, what kinds of cables did you use? Many thanks from a radar user in the Philippines.
@@abrahamramos9240 You'd have to use a DI because this just gives you 1/4in out and you'd likely need XLR to get into a PA. Most DI boxes are pretty transparent nowadays, so as long as you don't go too cheap you shouldn't have to worry.
Rich can this be used like the Iridium or do you need a preamp pedal like the Joyo British?
It can be used like an iridium.
I bought one too, and it's great! The perfect solution for a nano board!
Plus being able to load your own IR's is a great plus.
Sorry about your Tele, but you know, now it has a great story.
Have you played the moore radar out live yet?
@@RichBischoff it's on my backup pedalboard, but haven't played a gig with it yet.
man, there's so much great stuff out there for us!
let me know if you ever come down to AZ, we'd be happy to have you join us on a gig or two!
Did you use it live straight from the pedalboard to the PA?
@@toneboy6583 i dont own it myself, but i think i works. Has someone tried this? i wanna use it with an amp for extra signal too the soundboard. Do i need some kind of DI after de Radar?
It add patina with dings, but it is not fun to scrach a beautiful guitar,..Love cheers
can you blend the IR in? Like for acoustic guitar use your direct signal and blend a bit of an IR in?
I dont think so, but I haven't explored that.
would you still choose the radar today over its competitors like the joyo cab box?
I've not used the Joyo, so not sure.
They all sound the same to me!😮
look at rick parfitts now that a guitar thats been round the world a few times
hello, does it have hiss noise when it s ON cab sim vs bypass? thx
No
BTW I'm selling one on reverb. Here's the link if your interested. Mooer Radar Speaker Simulator reverb.com/item/52226622?
Hey good stuff, how can I set up my radar (which I use with a 019 plexi) to sound great so I can take it to practice or a gig and just plug in and not have to do a lot of tweaking to get great sound? I ask because I have had the annoying situation where I get to my practice room or a gig and my sound is not good and I have to spend a lot of time tweaking instead of practicing. I heard I could do it at home with via my DAW somehow. Thanks for any help guys.
Is there a direct out of your plaexi?
@@RichBischoff Well yes, the signal chain is guitar to mooer 09 plexi to mooer radar to P.A. Thanks
I just tweak it through my studio monitors. I plugged it directly into my pa once as well.
Does your mooer radar heat up too?
Yes
Ok thanks, subbed!
Seriously dude, if it's a guitar you'll never part with the odd ding just adds to it's story.. if you were wanting to keep it mint to sell later i guess that's a different matter!
