I always see the rainbow outside my house in the same spot. Always wondered about that and could never find an answer

I always see a rainbow in the same spot too. Usually as the sun is facing that way and it's raining or raining. Lately as the sun is going down. I have never heard of rainbows not ever being in same places. I do however love to see a rainbow 👌🌈

Rainbows always occur in a location centered around the antisolar point, the spot directly opposite of the sun from the point of view of the observer. If one is at home standing in the same general area within the same general timeframe when conditions are right to see a rainbow, then it stands to reason that the rainbows will be seen in roughly the same position. Rain cells, showers and storms, often occur sometime from mid-afternoon to early evening in the summer so if you're in the same location within that timeframe then you're gonna see rainbows in approximately the same position. One thing that's cool about rainbows, because they're an optical effect, is that those prismatic rays of light you see are unique to each observer, even if the observers are standing just a few feet apart.
