- Oliso's Smart Iron is a pressing game-changer. The scorch guards hold the hot iron up and away from your pressing surface until you hold the handle. It doesn't sound exciting until you use it and then it's amazing. AND it's a great steam iron!
If you have ever turned a lovely steam iron (I have) into a spitting monster, it makes sense to read the instructions which is why you see them in the video. It is my hope that watching the video is more entertaining that reading.

Your video was so helpful. Great information. Thank you so much for making it. I may get one of these irons.
I’m about to buy one of these.... super excited!
Thanks Becky. Helpful information as I research buying n iron for quilting :)
I love it my daughter got me one about 2 years ago
Very good news about this iron
This is my iron and I love it too however I hate automatic shut offs. When you’re constructing a garment sometimes it can take you more than 30 minutes especially if you get distracted then you go back to iron and it’s cold. I’ve spotted up fabrics. Some irons give you a bypass. I wish this iron did. I love the fact that I don’t have to sit it up right.
I've quilted for years and used a few irons in my time but I have never emptied the water out of it. If you use it every day or even a few times a week that seems like such a waste of time to me. What do you do? You've had your for a bit now?
I empty it when I'm not going to use the iron for a few days. If I know I'm going to use it again soon, I leave the water in it because, like you, I don't like to take the time to empty it.
que precio tiene en euros gracias
This is the first time owning an Oliso iron, do I have to keep it in the horizontal position or is it OK to stand it up?
I leave it horizontal but you should read the instructions to be sure 😁
Hi there! Thinking of ditching the Rowenta brand and going for this. Are you still liking it?
Yes, I do still like it. It's my go-to iron :-).
Thx!
Becky - Basses on your review, and that you still like it, I ordered it. Thx much. I hope it holds up better than the Rowenta. Mixed reviews out there.
@@janniestanley Let me know how it goes. Each individual iron is its own thing... I've gotten sewing machines that should have been great but my particular one was not. That said, I would buy this iron again.
Glad you said it - it’s VERY difficult to empty the water tank! I dont know how they expect you to empty it…virtually impossible 😲
Otherwise, I LOVE my Oliso iron
My dogs knocked over my small rowenta after 2 months and broke it. There is no way I am going 2 spend $200 on this one although I would love one
I feel your pain. This one is almost always in the flat/down position which makes it much more stable. If you decide to spend the money, that might help ease the pain.
Mine doesn't have an off button and it is a pain to empty; it also leaks some, other than that
I wonder if you got a lemon? If it leaked right away, maybe? Consider contacting the company for help. I dropped mine not long ago and now it leaks a little. That’s my fault 🤣🤣🙄
@@BeckyGoldsmith Thanks! I never considered that I might have gotten a lemon will check with the company.
Can u make a vid warming up tortillas on the iron?
I would not heat food with the iron.
@@BeckyGoldsmith is it not hot enough?
I wish you would have addressed the lighting during the warm up.
If you mean the light on the iron, I would have if I paid any attention to it. The iron heats up fast (Oliso says within 80 seconds but it might be a little longer). If you mean the light in the video itself, I'm working on that part. It is amazingly tricky.
Becky Goldsmith Yes Becky unless mine has a defect it seems to take awhile to get to green.
@@mier6536 Have you contacted Oliso? It stands to reason that every now and then there could be an iron with an issue. They are good people, they might be helpful. It sure can't hurt to try.
This is great but they are next to impossible to find
maybe in person, but they are online. Oliso has them here: oliso.com/collections/smart-irons
