Natalie Gregory as Alice is joined by two Broadway greats (Ann Jillian and Carol Channing) in one of the productions most awesome vocal pieces. I do not own this video. Posted for educational purposes.
What I love about this one is they devote equal time to Looking Glass. Most versions short change that book by only having a few characters like the Tweedles or combining the Red Queen and Queen of Hearts. As far as I know, this is the only version that covers both books.
@@stever507 The thought itself caught me off guard as an adult upon remembering it and realizing that one of the typical thoughts running through my 8-year-old head involved wanting to see Carol Channing nude. Hmmmm. 🤔 Well Imma just go ahead and push that one back deep down into the ol’ subconscious so I’ll never have to analyze it.
My life is complete. Picture it...the Bay Area ca. 1987 (or so), my Grandma taped this on VHS for us. To this day I hum these songs. I even quote some of the dialogue.
Can you do addition? What is one and one and one and one/ and one and one and one and one and two? -- Can you do subtraction? Eight from nine and two from eight, And six from three and one from seven, too? -- Can you do division; Six divided by a three and then a two? -- Yes, you! -- Can you multiply, my dear? Then what are three times six, and two times ten, and then again? -- Addition, Subtraction, Division, Multiplication! -- Forget your slumbers, Recall your numbers. Just add up the list. Just think of pluses and minuses; It's sure to clear your sinuses. We simply must insist! --
I always wondered if anyone could solve the math question they say. Like how many 1s did she say, its hard to count because she goes so fast. The rest seem easy to solve, but the addition? I just don't know how many 1s she says lol

I wish someone would go further again, turning Gilbert Adair's "Alice Through the Needle's Eye" into a movie, but I know it's never going to happen.

The addition problem is 10. After that. I don’t know
10, 1, 6, -3, 6, 21.666666 but if you add the 2 it's 23.6666666, 18 and 20, notice all the sixes, intentional I'm sure
