    This video is beautiful but also shocking. It delights you but also moves you. It makes you feel but also think and leaves a message. This is art.
    11: 00 He mixes vocal references to the call to pray from Islam, the greeting to souls from Tengrism; the Om from Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism and gives at the same time a certain cadence of Gregorian chant from Catholicism. That´s why it is making you cry: he is singing to your soul, not to your ears In the deep voice part he says something like “People are just travelers in the path that is life" Then he goes to a "Heaven entrance sound"
    17:17 Then he goes again in voice of despair giving a claim and a statement. It is imposible for me not to cry when I listen to this song

    Hi! Dimash wrote the music of this masterpiece for 3 years, except for the script, the idea, the development of the role, vocals, orchestration, arrangement, and cast selection. The financial cost of the clip is $ 7 million. Dimash paid for his own creation. At that time, He completed his bachelor's degree, master's degree at the university, and began writing his doctoral dissertation. He was engaged in conducting solo concerts in different countries. He composed other works. The film was shot in 20 days, for the first time he performed this work at a concert in Almaty on 09.23.2022. It was a shock that was impossible to recover from. It is on his channel in YT. Just don't watch the funk, but the recording from the concert. This is a great civic and musical treasure! Dimash leaves life on stage!

    The 3 kids are Dimash the woman (his wife) and the dictator. Dimash and his wife had the little girl that died and his wife gave birth to the new boy (wearing the symbol). The wife died during childbirth and the Dimash at the end wearing the symbol is the baby grown up. Yes, every voice (other than the woman screaming) is Dimash’s.

    Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! Yes, you are pretty on point with the plot, and yes it was Dimash who made all those sounds with his voice naturally! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
    Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
    Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
    This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
    This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
    1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
    2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
    3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
    “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
    For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

    Cedric Gegel made two videos about this, and he analysed the symbolism pretty well. On the website Dimash News the filmmaker also explains some of it. And a lot of it is each person's interpretation. But nothing is random. Even if you simply Google the sign lying on the ground. "Brandenburg". You can write an essay on only the symbol that looks like a 4. It is part of an instrument used by seafarers that uses the sun to tell time and direction. The one given to the boy who was rejected by the girl (Piper) was spinning when he handed it over, alluding to him not knowing where his life is heading. And he bends it. The girl's on is steady - she knows her purpose and direction. And so one could go on about only the symbol in the first 2 minutes.

  • @jameslis1008
    @jameslis1008 Před měsícem +3

    Heres my take. When they are all on the beach by the boat the tall (bad) guy and the girl seem to interact in a way where she shuns him. He turns away and throws up his arms while she runs back to the boat to little Dimash. Bummed out by rejection becomes the moment where the tall guy decides to take over the planet. There are two other hidden items. One is the burning sign near the building where he is standing and looking up. Google it. The second is the part where he refers to “Imagine.” I believe it is a reference to John Lennon and the meaning of his song by the same title. Theres more.

    Any good work always allows the viewer to become a co-author, allows us to create interpretations ourselves, but within the limits of the main author's message. A complex work often requires repeated careful viewing.
    This film is full of symbolism. From the very first seconds, we are shown frames of the cyclical nature of the story, but we will be able to understand this only after a second viewing. An obscure figure, a drowning man... Is this a young man dying on the threshold of his big life, or is this a warrior who completed his life path both for himself and for many other people?
    We are at the beginning of the life cycle, and the lace in the foreground unequivocally reminds us of the umbilical cord. A boy who has just drowned is ready for his second birth...
    Dimash's first message: we are born equal, pure, potentially good people. Children are an unwritten book in which life can fit any plot.
    We see three friends who, as children, are full of nobility and courage (an older boy selflessly saves his friend), a thirst for knowledge of the world and a thirst to share these discoveries. However, already at these stages, the first signs of disagreement appear: a brave boy, pumping out a friend, looks for approval from a girl with his eyes. He wants to look like a hero in her eyes. But the girl does not notice this, her heart has already been given to another, and only his fate cares about her. That's the first disappointment of life - a feat will not make you a hero. You can't expect a fair reward from people. A friend may not meet your expectations.
    What other disappointments will this boy know, who eventually transforms from a selfless young man into a ruthless and cynical dictator?
    The amulet (the arrow of the solar clock showing both time and direction) has become a symbol of different ideas in the hands of our heroes. For a couple in love, it is a symbol of unity, indicating their common path (they have become a married couple, they have a daughter and a son will be born in the final). Another boy never accepted this amulet as a symbol of friendship (he does not wear it on his chest near his heart), he bent it in a fit of rage (thus the arrow stopped pointing the right way) and used this amulet upside down as a symbol of his false inverted ideals. He became a dictator (in the lyrics of the song - a Pied Piper, who draws children to destruction with the sounds of his lying flute).
    Many years later we see that the Dictator unleashed a bloodbath in the name of his false ideals. Many believe that Dimash portrays the opposing side of Good to Evil. I see something else.
    A patch on the sleeve of Dimash's character is poked into our eyes several times: a complex interweaving of sharp corners and circles. Dimash's character is not a leader, he is an ordinary soldier who has also taken some ideological side. What do these circles and angles represent? Who stands behind Dimash's character and pushes him into battle? Maybe he's protecting his city from invasion? Apparently not! Everything points to the fact that this is a civil war, because the action takes place in their hometown. All three of them lived in this city, and now they are feuding and destroying their home.
    Waldenberg in this clip is the personification of the whole planet. We all live under the same sky. And in this sense, ANY WAR is a civil war, fueled by various but ALWAYS false ideas, including territorial claims. I think this is the second message of Dimash, directly following from the title of the clip.
    Therefore, behind the back of Dimash's character is another exactly the same Pied Piper, with complex, confusing and false ideas pushing his followers into this meat grinder.
    The plaque with the name of the city in Gothic script Waldenberg is a direct reference to the real German city of Waldenburg, completely destroyed by Allied troops during World War II, when there was no need at all, because by the end of the war there were mostly only women and children in this city. The one who was supposed to bring good brought evil.
    Dimash's third message is that war has no good sides. All participants in wars are somehow agents of evil.
    Is it an accident that Waldenburg translates as "The City of Waldemar"? Well, or Vladimir in the Slavic version. Both leaders of the modern confrontation are called Vladimir ...
    Dimash certainly sympathizes with his character, he understands what exactly drives his hero, but does not justify his actions.
    When his character, driven by anger, despair and revenge, comes to the Dictator for retribution, then a storm begins in a world where souls of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities, epochs who have chosen the road to light (good) have been walking along a thorny road for thousands of years of human history! Dimash's character, having killed his savior, thanks to whom he lived all these years, immediately receives karma in return and returns to the waters of nothingness, where he should have stayed many years ago. At the moment of death, the thirst for life gives him the last most powerful life lesson: acceptance of the idea of the primordial value of human life. FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Even for a Dictator! Even for his daughter's murderers! This is the fourth very important message of Dimash. In a near-death epiphany, his hero sees in flashbacks the moments of his life, both bright (shots from his childhood) and unrighteous (shots of how he takes the lives of his opponents). Dimash's fifth message is to rethink your values, it's never too late to repent. It is this repentance that allows the soul of Dimash's character to transform and be reborn in the best version of himself. The waters into which our hero fell are also an allegory for amniotic fluid, an allegory of reincarnation in the body of his newborn son, who, having received such a powerful life attitude from his father, will never take up arms again and will not join any side of the conflict.
    The soul of a warrior sinks to the bottom of Nothingness completely. All three characters die in this story at the same time, allowing a new soul to be born, giving hope for a better future for Humanity. Dimash is a Muslim, and he does not preach the idea of reincarnation. Reincarnation here is just a metaphor necessary to convey his messages.
    The souls of the righteous, who once accepted the simple truth about the primary value of human life, raising their hands to the dazzling Light that flooded the horizon, meet their new follower, who joined their march towards Light and Goodness. He is an equal among them, who has accepted his mission as a shepherd, among others, each of whom carries his mission on this path: someone blows a horn, calling for unification, someone brings enlightenment to the masses (a book is a symbol of knowledge), someone carries his cross, and someone leaves the race unable to withstand the hardships of the way.
    The fifth message of Dimash - the simple acceptance of the idea of renouncing weapons and violence will allow each of us to join this stream of righteous souls. Only when WE ALL join this stream, only then will the wars stop.
    Dimash wrote the music and script for this video based on his own long-standing story. Everything we see and hear is the flesh of the flesh of feelings, thoughts, ideas of Dimash. Dimash is an ancient soul.

    There were only three pendants, and they are there to guide you thru the story arch. Everything in the video is in chronological order. Dimash's character married the little girl (from the beach scene) when they grew up. The little girl who was killed was Dimash's daughter and the little boy that was born was to be Dimash's second child. The little boy grew up to lead people on a path to peace (which is why he looks exactly like Dimash). Dimash's wife did not survive childbirth. If you pay close attention to the beach scene when all three kids were laughing and happy, there was a shift in mood with the older boy. He had feelings for the girl but was rejected because she liked the other boy (Dimash as a kid) which is why he separated himself from the other two and was reluctant to take the friendship pendant that was offered to him. I believe it is to imply that jealousy played a part in the path the older boy eventually took (as the dictator in an armed conflict).

      In the canyon we see not the son of the hero Dimash, but the reborn soul of this hero, which will be born again and again, including in the body of his son. All travelers of this canyon are souls who have chosen the path to Light and Good. Dying, Dimash’s hero accepted the primacy of human life, repented of taking lives himself, and only after that his soul was able to join the procession in the canyon.
      It is important to understand that Dimash’s hero is not reborn into the Messiah or another leader, because throughout the entire clip Dimash says: do not trust ANY leaders, you cannot know their true intentions, you cannot recognize the Pied Piper by hearing his pipe. Choosing the direction towards the Light is all that is needed. We see how travelers begin to overtake the follower who has joined them again. He does not lead them, he is simply the last one at this moment in time. But this is not for long, and they all go in the same direction - towards the Light, towards the Good. We are the next ones who must replenish this flow of souls.

    Yes, the choice of English words used here are not the kind of stuff that the modern world use. Dimash is a lover of literature since he was a kid until now. He also love reading the works of great poets. In an interview that he gave when he was around ten years old, he mentioned the names of poets and writers whose works he admire. Taking into consideration the kind of books he read while growing up, I can say that the wordings of the song was greatly influenced by literature, etc. A glaring example of which is the sentence "share the love, not shares."

That was the angriest I've ever seen Dimash. He loves children and I think he suffers great pain and depression because of the harm that comes to innocent children via these insane decisions to start wars. I think Dimash was moved to explain how innocent children can diverge into different directions for many unknown reasons. They were all friends but clearly there was some sort of rivalry for the girl's affection.

    You should react to the live performance of this song. It’s in Part 3 of his Almaty concert. It’s absolutely incredible and you will see he sings every note you heard in the video! This performance was the night before the music video was released. This movie cost 7 million USD for Dimash to make (he used his own money). It apparently is the most expensive music video ever made.

      The Almaty performance was not live: what we heard was identical to the track of this video. So there is no point watching the Almaty performance. I keep wondering why people expect Dimash to sing an arduous monster song like this live at the end of a 4h concert. He would kill his voice! However, in some concerts he sings the first half live, while the second part is playback.

      @mmsminimalmusic3110 He sings the full song live in many of his concerts with tens of thousands people watching him closely in person.
      Given that he spent 3 years fine tuning this song and spending countless hours getting it exactly the way he wanted, it shouldn't surprise anyone when his live performance sounds similar.

    Just the 3 people had the symbol. The children all died in adult life. His female child died and his wife died in childbirth but their second baby survived and her symbol was given to him. He shows in the end as he moves into the next life that he is joining a long line of people from countries all who have experienced war and trauma supporting a search for life and peace - Yes - your comment about the title One Sky is right. He has said in discussions about peace - that there are no bad countries and people's - all suffer. This has to be watched many times to get it all. But seeing the live puts your questions of his skill in music

    You can see him (react to him) doing this live at the Almaty concert. You got it mostly right. Just those three had the tokens. The child born at the end is the couple's second child (first child dies), who will carry on the peace that his parents could not achieve. The woman dies at childbirth.

    Thank you for your attentive reaction & analysis. There's an additional info in the description of the song. It seems you got the message right if not all the details (and that's what matters). This is absolutely a masterpiece. Dimash indeed isn't just a singer! He is a true artist and involved in every step of his work. Dimash sings anything in any style but plays instruments also if needed. He produces and arranges all the songs he sings. He already arranged everything in his teens and composed some songs, too. Lately Dimash has started to compose most of his music himself. He also co-scripts and directs his music videos now. They are more like mini-movies and of course, he plays the main roles in them - and does it well. So many talents... But above all, Dimash is a good humane person - kind, generous, intelligent, a profound thinker, spiritual, wiser than his years - and this shows in his works. I love his art and his personality. He is such an inspiration!

Dimash and the girl are a couple and the little girl is their daughter, their other child is about to be born. She dies in childbirth, as does Dimash and his former friend the dictator. We assume that the one at the end is the grown-up baby.

    Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction! You were almost correct in your assessment of the storyline. As others have stated, we see the three children later in life, Dimash’s daughter was killed, his wife died giving birth to his son, and the one with the staff and necklace is Dimash’s son, grown up. This MV (mini-movie) helped Dimash get his masters degree. More importantly, it allowed him to express how strongly he feels about the need for peace in this world. Most will say that’s never going to happen, but I feel at least Dimash is trying to get people together through music. That’s better than not trying at all. Thanks again for viewing this masterpiece! Please also watch his live performance of this song (I believe the Almaty concert had a great version). His vocal talent is off the charts!!! ❤️

    These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky -
    The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else I noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

    The Story of One Sky, means exactly what you said and Dimash mentions many times in his concerts that we all live under the same sky regardless of race and religion.
    You can see the live version in Part 3 of his Almaty Concert. Every voice you hear singing in this video is his voice.

    This story is so beautiful, tragic, and everything in between. The older boy chose to save the young Dimash, only to let anger & jealousy dictate the outcome of all 3 children when the girl chose Dimash to love as an adult. He, Dimash, Dimash’s wife, and their daughter paid the price with blood & life. The baby that was born right as Dimash & his wife died, is the man in the desert at the end.
    10:58 when the baby girl was picking up her bear, the dictator’s soldier cocked his gúñ & took her lìfę.. 🤬💔😭
    11:59 The range of voices in speaking and singing octaves alone is mind boggling!! Every single male AND female sound other than the wife’s cries in childbirth and the light background choir are all Dimash. 🤯🤯🤯
    There is legit, NO ONE ELSE LIKE HIM!! We ALL get stunned over & over in these instances when he has us enthralled in his storytelling.
    Also, he leans very heavily into his Asian & Middle East roots in many of his songs and has mastered how to make his voice almost sound like musical instruments of their own. He is making the guttural sound in his throat by rapid control of his vocal cords. Spectacular, huh?!? 🤯👏👏👏
    11:59 bingo!!! The baby is their son and the only one who lived of all the main characters. Older boy - Dictator, girl - Dimash’s wife, younger boy - Dimash, you girl with the bear - Dimash & his wife’s daughter, baby at the end - their son, who looks like Dimash, with the symbol of his parents- after he has grown up.

Dimash discovers this shoots him and in return is killed by the soldiers. In the meantime the his wife is viving birth to son. The mother passes the friendship necklace with the symbol to her son. In parallel, you see see the people of the religions.of the world marching away from war. First the Muslims, then the Buddhists, th3n the Christians and Jews. Great deciphering Qwerky, yes, Dimash is saved by the boy that grows up to become the Piper (dictator), Dimash marries the girl and they have a daughter that gets killed in the apartment building. The triangle talisman is actually a pin hole gnomon, (that's the thing on a sundial) which having the pinhole allows a sailor to navigate both forward and back in time so to speak. The ending of the video is actually the beginning of the story with Dimash leading all the various groups of people into the light. That Dimash is the child that's born and all grown up and 'looking back" at what brought them all to that place.

    Only those 3 - the three kids - have the symbol. The boy, who was drowning at the beginning, grew up to fight against the tyrant, and this fighter is Dimash. The tyrant was the boy who rescued his friend at the beginning. The girl at the beginning became the wife of Dimash, and they had the little girl who was killed by the tyrant's soldiers. That prompted Dimash to shoot his once friend, the tyrant. At the time of the fighting, the wife was delivering their second child, a boy. The wife died during the delivery, and the baby - the son of Dimash and the girl - inherited the symbol necklace. In the end, all three of the kids from the beginning were dead, but the son of Dimash and the girl (the newborn baby, shown as an adult at the end of the video) carried on the message - he was leading all the representatives of all different religions towards the Light. I hope this clears up the confusion.

    • @ivor000
      @ivor000 Před měsícem +1

      that's exactly right, very well succinctly explained.
      while most people don't like the "confusion" the first-time viewing can cause, for everyone, i think it's actually totally intentional, requiring multiple viewings, causing the viewer to notice all the other subtle messaging going on, it is dense.
      absolutely no different than the process of interpreting a poem: it is multi-layered on purpose, requires multiple passes to identify all the subtext, to appreciate the art for What it is meant to be: beautiful, deep, meaningful and important
      not to mention: people appreciate figuring things out for themselves as opposed to having it all spelled out, removing any mystery and reflection, which is, frankly, boring
      suffice it to say, dimash is on a higher level than all of us, We are beyond lucky he has the means and ability to transmit his message to the world
      now if we could get just one person at the UN to watch it and appreciate the message he is putting forth here, alas...

  • @zemanoshtronz
    @zemanoshtronz Před měsícem

    Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations:
    (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
    (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
    (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death!
    (4) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon;
    (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.
