His obsession with besting JR helped to destroy his marriage, and lose focus on who he was. He should of just dropped out the battle. Let JR buyout his half, and then bought a house somewhere with Pam and their son. That, or he should have just stuck to running the ranch, or started his own business.

The fact that they were separated (but still in love) made their relationship more compelling at time. At the same time I always found it a little implausible. I've been watching Dallas again, of course on DVD as I'm trying to get the entire series on DVD and watching it again after all these years sense it was canceled back in the 90s, I've just realized what a bad wife the character of Pam really was to the character of Bobby, Bobby deserved better than a wife like her, always having to worry about when something else bad would happen she'd take off and leave Bobby I mean I couldn't live like that and then in the end after her accident she took off again, only this time not only did she leave Bobby but also Christopher. Why because of a stupid accident would she leave behind a child she wanted so badly. Those writers, so sorry really messed up the character of Pam cause I didn't understand her at all but in the end I was kinda glad they killed her off.

Cliff had no business getting involved but he was trying to stop JR from buying a refinery, his mother took his place and was heading to Houston to buy the refinery and her private jet collides with another plane. None of it was JR'S fault. Cliff and his mother were out for revenge.

I've been watching Dallas again, of course on DVD as I'm trying to get the entire series on DVD and watching it again after all these years sense it was canceled back in the 90s, I've just realized what a bad wife the character of Pam really was to the character of Bobby, Bobby deserved better than a wife like her, always having to worry about when something else bad would happen she'd take off and leave Bobby I mean I couldn't live like that and then in the end after her accident she took off again, only this time not only did she leave Bobby but also Christopher. Why because of a stupid accident would she leave behind a child she wanted so badly. Those writers, so sorry really messed up the character of Pam cause I didn't understand her at all but in the end I was kinda glad they killed her off.
